Chapter 166: Because She Loves Him
Chapter 166: Because She Loves Him
Marcella was hugging Tony closely and she couldn’t see his face but he had relaxed by now. His shoulders were not stressed and he held her around her waist.
This time, his hold was gentle—as how he holds her.
Marcella smiled.
"Do tell me," he said and kissed her ear. She could feel the smile on his face.
"I was not scared of you," she said tightening her hold.
She couldn’t think of anything else. He seemed to be hurt when she covered herself with the duvet. She didn’t know why she did that. It was not out of fear. She probably wanted to put a space between them.
He squeezed her closer.
Marcella thought she was right. He took a deep breath, still pressing his lips on her head.
"Joey’s crying," he said and patted her back to get her down.
"I hear nothing," she wrapped her legs around his waist. For some reason, she didn’t think she was right. There must have been something else.
"No, he is... listen..." he chuckled. "Birdie, come on. I’ll have a look. Stay."
Marcella didn’t let go. She climbed on top of him. She was not willing to leave him alone. "You are not going to sulk alone. You’ll have me attached to you," she said.
Tony chuckled. "Suit yourself." He covered her shoulders with her robe and carried her to the nursery.
"He’s sleeping," Marcella pouted. She would have heard if Joey cried!
Tony closed the door softly. Marcella leaned on his shoulder. She couldn’t help but kiss his shoulder. She loved his scent. How he went about might have been harsh, but she loved this man to death. At times she would wonder if she would forgive him for anything.
"Was it one of your fantasies, Tony?" she asked. Her husband had weird fantasies as she knew. He once wanted to do it in the garden when there were others in the house. He tries to give her heart attacks often with his preferences.
Was it one of them?
"Being beastly with you?" he asked.
Marcella looked at his face. Her brows got raised. She didn’t think it was his fantasy by how he described it. She traced her fingers over his eyebrows. He got stressed again.
As he placed her on the bed, she held his cheeks and kissed his forehead. He was regretting what he did and she didn’t want to pry on it if it hurt him again. At the same time, she wanted him to tell her what made him act that way all of a sudden.
"In a way, it was a fantasy of mine..." he brushed aside the hair sticking to her forehead. Supporting himself on his elbows, he was on top of her. "When I saw you entering Aiden’s house that night, I had this dream..."
Marcella’s lips twitched.
"I shouldn’t have told you this," he buried his face in the nook of her neck. He was ashamed to see her reaction. "I know you are mine... mine alone... I am the only man...Only I touched you everywhere... Only I..."
His big hand trailed over her arm. Marcella bit her lip.
"Did you talk to Aiden today?" she asked. She didn’t understand why he brought up that guy now.
Tony met her eyes. Through the dim light, she could see the glimmer in his irises. His breath intertwined with hers and a fire ignited in her lower abdomen. Just a look from him was enough to turn her on.
"You only get dumb with me, Birdie," he bit her lips.
"Oww!" she pouted. "What do you mean? I am dumb most of the time!"
Tony chuckled. Seeing the pout on her face, he licked her lips. "Does it hurt?"
She shook her head. "I’m fine." She couldn’t even open her eyes as his tongue lingered on her lips.
Tony intertwined his fingers in hers.
"Why are you doing this to me, Birdie?" he asked trailing his tongue over her cheek.
She moaned and kissed his neck as it was the first thing she could reach.
"Little nymph..." He said gritting his teeth.
Marcella could feel his hot member on her and she knew he was turned on just like her. She curved her back and her soft mounds touched his chest. With a grunt, he kissed her. Marcella kissed him back.
"Nymph..." he said again and nibbled on her lips. Then he lifted himself on his hands.
Marcella grunted in displeasure as his warmth left her. Her chest was cold and the contrast of his warmth on her legs and the coldness on her chest was unbearable.
"You make me starve for a week, say to my face that you will fall out of love with me, get happy that some other man was watching over you, then as if nothing else happened, you dolled up for me, seduce me, and... dared to stop me midway..." he bit the tip of her nose.
Marcella blinked her eyes. He said a lot. So, he was bothered by a lot.
She tried to sit up to talk about it properly but he kissed her lips. "I know why..." he said letting go of her. "It was stupid of me to get emotional."
Marcella was panting. His kiss was so passionate. "Why?" she asked in between her labored breaths.
"Because you love me," he said.
He smirked and this time Marcella thought she saw an angel. Seriously, how can a man be this handsome?
"That is true..." she said.
He kissed her again and she ran her fingers through his hair.
"You will not want me to be a pushover," she said when he stopped. Maybe he wanted to listen to her, he waited.
"I told you that I didn’t want you to kill Paul because I didn’t want to lose you. I could have waited to see if you would do it or not..."
"But you couldn’t take that chance. You didn’t want to cut me off," Tony said. He got it. She could cut off Aiden. She never told him what she felt and one day, she could cut him off entirely. She didn’t want to do the same to him.
Because she loved him that much.
"I might have been wrong to push you off for a week..." she shrugged.
"Might have?" he kissed her.
Marcella giggled.
"I don’t think it’s a man, though. It could be a woman who is watching over me..." Marcella ran her fingers through his hair.
"Even if it’s a man, it doesn’t matter," Tony smiled. He knew how much she loved him. She is his alone.
That was where he let his emotions let loose.
"Did I hurt you, Birdie," he asked running his big hand over her abdomen.
"Not really," she lied. Her intent was not to hurt him. "Please, don’t do it again..."
"Sorry," he kissed her. "I am so happy you stopped me."
He meant it. She was right that his wife couldn’t be a pushover. She should be open, certainly with him.
"You gave me the confidence to speak up, Tony," she held his cheeks. That was the truth. He never made her regret being open with him.
"I love you so so much..." she kissed him.
