Chapter 101: Confession

Tony wanted to bury his head in the ground to hide his shame. He had a rational mind that he chose to ignore while talking to Aiden. When Aiden asked him some intimate questions, he let it get to his head.

He was mad not only because Aiden was the guy who made her suffer and change her personality but also because he was pitying himself for not being intimate with his wife.

"What do you have against Rudolf?" He asked mostly to stop thinking about his shameful behavior. He must apologize to her but rather than apologizing, she would appreciate it if he doesn’t repeat that behavior again.

"Rudolf?" Marcella shrugged.

She has something that would destroy his future but she didn’t want to tell Tony about it.

"Rudolf will not mess with you, trust me. He will not go against me," she said.

"You’re not going to tell me?" Tony was surprised.

"No," Marcella was open.

"I’ve had a doubt about him. Is it true?" Tony asked.

"What doubt?" Marcella played with his shirt.

"Like he’s into..." Tony took a deep breath and Marcella got raised and lowered with his chest. "Maybe we should not hit him below the belt, huh?" he said after a while.

Marcella said nothing. Maybe he already knows the truth. The secret she knows of Rudolf is that he likes men. She once saw him kissing another man in an alleyway. Well, they were doing more than kissing. It was a shock for her to see two men in that position. She ran away as if she was running for her life. She didn’t talk about it with anyone else.

After that, Rudolf tried to talk to her but she avoided him. She didn’t know what to say to him. After that, he avoided her.

As she thought about it deeply, she understood why Rudolf bullied her and called her derogatory terms. She was an easy target and he tried to show himself to be masculine by bullying the weak. It was wrong obviously but she could understand him.

She didn’t know how that kind of relationship worked but she was not one for judging. But his respect would drop to the floor if his truth gets out.

"What do you think he will do, Tony?" she asked.

"Like the others, he will marry a woman to hide who he is and... I don’t know... I don’t know..." Tony let out a deep breath.

"There are many others like him? Do you know a lot?" she asked.

"Not many. But they are there..."

Marcella listened to his heartbeat. She at times wonders if Tony has a heart. But she could sense Tony sympathizing for Rudolf. He’s not a bad man.

"I asked Louis Fletcher to talk about other lobbyists about the bill you’re trying to pass," she said.

She wanted to tell him that before he gets information from someone else. She didn’t want to fight another day. She wanted to let it all out and if he wanted to get angry at her he can do that today itself so that she can move on.

She expected him to shout at her. But he hummed in acknowledgment and started to caress her hair.

"You’re not mad I overstepped?" she asked.

"I think we’ve already talked about this," Tony said.

"I think we did... Will it be helpful?" she asked.

"Will you think I am trying to use you or manipulate you if I say yes?" he asked.

"No, I want to be of help to you," she said. "Tony," she lifted her head and looked at him. "I am really glad you were there that day. I am glad I got to marry you."

She wanted to tell him that. Although she has resentment toward him for not letting her save her sister’s life, she was happy she got to marry Tony.

"You wouldn’t have asked anyone else?" Tony asked.

It was nice to hear her say that. He wanted to hear more.

"No," Marcella replied immediately. She’s thought about it and she didn’t have to think about it any further.

"But you wanted custody of Joey."

"Yes... I..." Marcella thought for a moment. If marrying was not an option, she would have...

"I would have kidnapped Joey and escaped to my father’s hometown in Italy. No one would have touched me there. My cousins there are born and bred mafia. Not even Paul Romano and the American government could have done anything to get to me."

Tony laughed. It’s the truth. The DeAngelo family are bigshots in their hometown thanks to Don DeAngelo. They are very grateful to him and will do anything for his family.

But then he hugged her closer.

She can still leave...

"I am glad you didn’t leave the country. I am glad I was there for you although I can’t imagine being anywhere else when you were in great pain. I wish you don’t leave me..."

Marcella hugged him back. She didn’t know if she wants to leave the country anymore.

"Tony... " she scratched his chest. "I don’t have any feelings for Aiden. So don’t let him get into your head in the future, please..." she said.

"I am sorry, Birdie. I am sorry for behaving like a thug in the restaurant. I am sorry for... everything," he said. "It’s... I don’t know why I am losing it when it comes to you. I become the ultimate coward or the most irrational fool. I can’t ever be... cool in front of you...’

"You’re plenty...cool," she said. She was glad he apologized. She didn’t want to say anything more. She has already forgiven him and she can now forget that little fight they had.

This probably won’t be the last fight they will have. They have a long life ahead. But they can move forward by talking about it and acknowledging their mistakes.

Tony definitely is not like Aiden who blamed her for everything, even his outbursts.

She was glad.

"Am I?" Tony rolled over and ended up on top of her.

He apologized. He felt relieved she accepted his apology. She ignored it altogether and in her book, that means she has accepted the apology. He will have to not repeat his stupidity in front of her ever.

"What is the time?" Marcella asked. She had an idea of what her dear husband is planning.

She didn’t know what that pulsating feeling was in her lower belly when he got on top of her. It was... great, just the same as when they were kissing in his office. She wanted to feel it more.

"It’s five past two..." Tony said checking the time. "Do you want to sleep? If so, we can~"

"I want to sleep," Marcella said without thinking.

Tony sighed and leaned on her. "Oh, Birdie... Can’t you understand... I was saying that just to..."

Marcella giggled covering her lips. "I know..."

"Can we..."

"Geez, Tony..." Marcella covered her face. "You can’t just openly say you want to..."

"I want to what?" Tony held her hand and tried to look at her face.

Marcella turned to the side. Her entire face was burning out of embarrassment and she was glad there was only a dim light inside the room.

"Shut up, Tony..."

"Why?" Tony pried her hands out of her face and held her cheeks. "Look at me, Marcella DeAngelo..."

"I’m Marcella Crawford, Antony," she corrected him.

She has already filed for a name change. She should get used to this new name. She loved her new name.

Tony pressed his lips on hers. "I love you, Marcella... I love you..." he said as his kisses intensified.

Marcella Crawford.

He didn’t know why when she said that, he felt a surge of happiness bubbling in his heart. Well, he knew why. It means that she is his wife. She is his to love and hold. She is his body and soul. She is his.

Marcella sank into the depths of his kisses. He said ’I love you’ to me!! He did!! He loves me!!

She slipped her hands to his back and gripped his shirt as his kisses intensified. His kisses traveled south and so did his hands. He kissed her all over as his hands trailed her legs.

As his fingers teased her down there, his velvety tongue tasted her all over. He was like a current of strong wind and she soared high up because of him.

Before she knew it, their clothes were on the floor and she was on the bed with him on top of him.

"I’m going in," he said.

She nodded. She had a lot of thoughts in the past.

Will it hurt? Will it feel good? Will I bleed a lot? Will I disappoint him?

But right now, as he said that with a shaking voice tinted with burning desire, all she could think was to get one with him. All other thoughts disappeared and only the man in her eyes ruled her heart.

Never in her life would she have expected to say something cheesy. She might not have any experience, but she has dreamt about this time with an imaginary person who greatly resembled Tony many times. In her dreams, she was always proactive and was on top.

But when it came to the actual situation...

"I’m yours to take, Tony," she said.

That’s what she felt. She wanted him to take her.
