Chapter 765: Chapter 752: Cross-Border Hunting, Using Heavy Fishing Rods to Catch Wild Boars

This robust fishing rod was the sturdiest Victor had ever seen in his life. When he had fought with the sturgeon before, it was almost always the big fish pulling the boat along, but this rod had maintained enough strength without any damage.

If he used it to fish for wild boar, there might even be a chance! Even if it proved impossible, at most he would just cut the fishing line and give up! Wild boar had little capability in the water, and as long as a person didn’t fall in, there would be no danger.

“This is an idea worth trying!” Victor nodded.

With the captain’s permission, Yue Feng immediately got excited. He raised the fishing rod in his hand and said, “Brothers, Uncle Victor has agreed to help us!

Next, I plan to use fishing methods to challenge this big wild boar crossing the river! Watch me!”

Yue Feng casually took a pair of scissors from his waist tool bag and readjusted the fish hooks on his rig.

Disregarding wear and tear, he didn’t need the carbon line anymore, directly tying the huge fishing hook onto the thick main line and locking it, then fine-tuning the weights suitable for casting.

Within the span of several seconds, just as Uncle Victor had turned the boat around to chase after the wild boar in the water, Yue Feng had already readjusted the fishing rig.

Yue Feng, “The rig is ready, let’s test if it works! Now, it’s time to witness a miracle!”

Ten seconds later, the fishing boat stopped about ten meters away from the wild boar. Yue Feng made a final check of the drum reel and the fishing rig, aimed at the spot where the wild boar’s head and neck connected, and cast it out.

The rig, with the sound of cutting through the air, landed accurately on the wild boar’s back. The next second, Yue Feng forcefully pulled the fishing rod to one side.

The hook, designed with barbs and an inward bend to prevent big fish from escaping, was extremely sharp and also very tough. Influenced by the pull of the fishing rod, it easily penetrated the skin at the side of the wild boar’s neck and secured itself.

“Got it on the first try! Let’s go!” Yue Feng excitedly called out, immediately bracing the fishing rod against his abdomen to prepare for the fight.

But the following force was somewhat disappointing to Yue Feng.

Though this wild boar weighed several hundred pounds, its strength in the water wasn’t that great.

The hook piercing its flesh caused it to cry out in pain and struggle desperately, its short legs splashing wildly in the water, but the generated force was mediocre. At most, it was like the sturgeon’s effort after more than an hour of struggling—almost lifeless!

Yue Feng was even confident that he could completely exhaust it to death just by using the drum reel, without relying on the captain steering the fishing boat to reel in the line.

This wild boar, which would make even tigers in the mountains back off, was now experiencing the most miserable moment of its life.

Its body floating in the water with no leverage, desperately flailing its four legs, the pig’s digging power was far less than that of fish of the same kind.

A large, sharp, robust hook with barbs was stuck in its neck, and no matter how desperately it struggled, it couldn’t break free, instead causing the fish hook to embed deeper.

Seeing how Yue Feng had managed to control the wild boar not far away with just a rod in merely a few minutes, the live streaming room erupted into chaos.

The audience in the live stream room were prepared to see big fish caught with heavy equipment, especially since they had seen fish weighing a thousand or two thousand pounds hauled in when they were in Kanas.

But using fishing equipment to catch a typically arrogant forest overlord like the wild boar was something nobody was prepared for!

“Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit! What was Yue Feng thinking, coming up with this move! Fishing for wild boar with a fishing rod, he’s the first person on the whole internet!”

“My mom asked me why I was kneeling while looking at my phone, I told her Yue Feng was fishing for wild boar with a fishing rod!”

“The pig gets hooked by the gaping hook, now it’s in big trouble! A foreseeable rage quit is incoming!”

“The filth above! That’s a frickin big male boar, goddamn pig sister! Destroying my childhood, now that you mention it, I have the image in my head!”

“Outdoor fishing live streamer, goes abroad to furiously fish for hundreds of kilograms of male wild boars on the Heilong River! Yue Feng, you’re definitely hitting the trending list tomorrow! You heard it here first!”

“Damn, start recording the screen, this is way more eye-catching than feeding bear cubs with Emperor Crabs! Yue Feng, are you going to allow us to record and post? The kind that tags you below!”

Seeing how easily his plan was achieved, Yue Feng was secretly pleased with himself at the moment. Seeing the live stream viewers start to heckle and ask questions, Yue Feng cheerfully said, “Record anything, post anything! Just remember to tag my account name! Strive a little more, and tonight we’ll add to our meal, wild boar meat!”

While speaking, Yue Feng swung his arm and reeled in a long stretch of the fishing line.

Poor big fellow, despite vigorously jumping, didn’t get very far; he was brutally pulled back.

Yue Feng’s main goal was to totally exhaust its strength, so he didn’t cut it any slack, locking the force very tightly, making the wild boar exert all its strength to barely move the line.

Yue Feng wasn’t in a hurry; at first, he stood to one side, giving his all until he confirmed there was no danger. Then he simply clamped the Fishing rod’s handle under his armpit.

This posture, much favored by deep-sea iron-plate anglers for its energy savings, felt pretty good used here for dragging pigs; it was certainly less strenuous than pressing it against the lower abdomen.

Over the next hour or so, Yue Feng pulled the wild boar in, then let it go, repeating who knows how many times. When he felt tired, he handed the rod over to Uncle Victor for a break.

Unbeknownst to them, the sun inclined to the west, and the sky gradually darkened. The wild boar, after over two hours of torment, had completely drained its strength. Its struggles weakened, and eventually, it just floated motionless on the water’s surface.

Seeing he had nearly reached his objective, Yue Feng, well-rested, stood up from his seat.

Yue Feng: “Almost there!”

“What do you plan to do? Bleed it with a knife?” Victor pulled out a field knife he carried.

Yue Feng shook his head: “That’s not safe! Didn’t you say? Safety first!”

“Then?” Victor was a bit puzzled, unable to keep up with the young man.

Yue Feng pointed to a net beside him and said, “Use this!”

“A net? That pig must weigh at least two hundred kilos; you can’t possibly net it up!” Victor shook his head.

Yue Feng grinned: “Naturally, it’s not about netting it up. Have you seen how they slaughter pigeons in restaurants?”

As they were discussing how to kill the pig, the thought suddenly leaped to killing pigeons, and Victor immediately realized.

“You want to drown it?”

“Right! Now, it’s just floating on the water due to buoyancy! We’ll use the net to press it down. It won’t be long before it suffocates and drowns!”

“That’s a good idea!” Victor immediately agreed.

“Guys, wild boars are too dangerous; we’re not going to grapple with it close quarters! Just press it down in the water and drown it! Now that it’s almost out of strength, it should be easy!”

While speaking, Yue Feng continuously reeled in, pulling the wild boar to about a meter away from the boat.
