Chapter 693 - 693 680 Wolf Pack Tactics
693: Chapter 680: Wolf Pack Tactics 693: Chapter 680: Wolf Pack Tactics After several days of festering, these arrogant guys had come to know Yue Feng’s background: the youngest Fishing King of China, who had claimed three world records in different fish species from the World Fishing Association in less than half a year.
Now, he was competing on Smith’s Black Pearl,
From any dimension, he was not an existence that an ordinary angler could easily manipulate.
Pete and his bunch wanted to get to know this advanced angler from the mainland but couldn’t lower their faces due to past resentments.
So they just stood there stiffly, and nobody came up to greet him, squandering the chance to change their impression.
In contrast, Joe Smith’s perception of Yue Feng was already quite prejudiced, soaring beyond the bounds of rationality.
Over the past few days of inquiring, Joe Smith had learned the true reason his nephew’s application was denied and it enraged the old angler greatly.
Joe Smith had driven in his Raptor pickup, trailing a new six-seater fishing boat, and he was accompanied by his nephew, Bob.
Arriving late at the rendezvous point, Joe Smith immediately noticed Yue Feng’s presence.
Instead of confronting him directly, he gathered all the members from his shop.
“My dear fellows, I’ve found out the real reason behind Bob’s rejected application!
Today, I need your help to make that arrogant guy pay a price!” Joe Smith stated very seriously.
“What’s going on?”
“What happened?”
“Who are you referring to?”
Outraged, Bob said, “Who else could it be but that Chinese angler we met at the club last time?
He’s the one who took my spot!”
Joe Smith nodded in agreement, “I have solid evidence to prove it, but I can’t go public to protect my friend’s privacy!”
“Damn, this is dereliction of duty!”
“What do you need us to do?
I used to admire his technique!
But now, it seems his achievements aren’t so honorable!”
“Right, a fisherman who climbs the ranks by underhanded methods is not a true Fisherman!
What do you need us to do?
We must definitely give him a big surprise!”
Joe Smith said, “Remember last year’s wolf pack tactics?
Let him have a taste of that trick!”
“Ok!”
“Alright!”
“Let’s do that!”
Provoked by Joe Smith in such a way, the two parties who once had a chance to reconcile had now ended up completely opposed.
And the catalyst was merely the spot in a registration.
At 7 a.m.
sharp, a white-haired man around his fifties called all the contestants to attention with a megaphone, ready to start the drawing for the competition.
The way Americans draw lots isn’t fundamentally different from Taiwan Fishing’s method back in the mainland, with a whole bunch of numbered balls being publicly taken out for verification, confirmed to be correct, and then placed into a large box for the draw.
When Yue Feng’s name was called, the gaze of all the American anglers converged on him in unison.
The rare occurrence of a yellow-skinned Chinese person registering for a state-level bass fishing competition had taken place.
It was an event many anglers, even those who had competed times over, had never witnessed an Asian participating in.
“Young man, good luck to you.
Now, take any ball out of the number box!” The white-haired man greeted Yue Feng amicably.
This Asian angler’s participation on the Black Pearl was proof of his connections, warranting the old man’s initiative to greet him.
“Thank you!” Yue Feng smiled, nodding his thanks, and casually drew a ball.
F09
Yue Feng had some recollection of this spot; it was near the middle of the eastern shore of the entire competition lake.
He had seen it when he checked out the site and tried fishing the day before.
“Not a bad fishing spot, it can give you a slight advantage in the early stages of starting to fish, good luck!”
“Thanks again for the reminder!” Yue Feng nodded and left the crowd that was drawing lots.
With the lot drawing completed, it was time for everyone to go to their respective boat launch positions and wait for the start.
To better manage the event, all competing anglers were given a walkie-talkie each, to contact the referees and staff within the area.
Throughout the lake’s competition area, at least a dozen groups of referees patrolled and ruled, ensuring any issues could be addressed immediately.
Taking advantage of the fact that the competition hadn’t officially started yet, Yue Feng turned on his drone equipment and started the live broadcast for today’s competition!
Bass State Tournament Day One in Florida, United States!
An eye-catching room name appeared in the list of live broadcasts.
“Hello, finally started the broadcast!”
“Has the fishing started, Brother Feng?
How was the lot drawing?”
“Front row!”
“American fishing, just a gimmick to deceive people, right?”
“Are you stupid upstairs?
Look at who’s speaking in the broadcaster’s profile on the homepage!”
Yue Feng smiled at the camera and then turned it around to give everyone a view of the surroundings.
In the camera shot, not far away, was a Black staff member wearing a life vest, and farther away, other boats were already in the water waiting for the competition to begin.
This thing isn’t easy to fake, and the cost is pretty high.
“Hello everyone, I’m Fisherman Yue Feng!
Today I’m bringing you a live broadcast of a boat lure fishing competition for Big Mouth Bass at the state level in Miami, Florida!
As you can see in the video, I’m currently at the competition site!”
“Holy shit, he really is in the United States, even the Black uncle with a work badge made it on camera!”
“Brother Feng is so awesome, participating in a fishing competition abroad?”
“Compete well, if you get good results, it’s like bringing honor to our country, teach those Americans what fishing is all about!”
“Attention all competing anglers, the competition will officially start in one minute, please have your assistants start the boats!
Countdown sixty seconds!”
The genuine American English accent came through the walkie-talkie on his chest, and the Captain nearby heard it and started the boat’s engine.
Yue Feng: “State-level competitions aren’t that high in terms, sort of like the Taiwan Fishing Category Four level in our country, China.
This kind of competition has things like Points as well, but our participation this time is just for fun, we’re not too interested in higher-level competitions.
After all, registering for advanced competitions requires a points threshold, and we don’t have the energy to chase after points by competing!”
You all must have heard the voice from the walkie-talkie just now.
There’s one minute left until the competition starts.
Those who haven’t shared the live broadcast room please hurry and share; the competition is about to begin!”
After another ten seconds or so, the walkie-talkie announced the start of the competition.
Yue Feng’s fishing boat left the simple dock and headed for the nearest spot.
The competition officially began.
The competition area was vast, and there were no other anglers discovered near the same spot.
About five minutes later, the boat slowed down and stopped at a spot.
“2 o’clock position, right in front, around 30 meters!” The Captain gave a precise range for the spot.
In fact, without the Captain’s guidance, Yue Feng had already noticed this spot.
In his field of view, this fishing position showed a distinct blue color, clearly different from other areas.
He raised the rod, swung his arm, and the Lure traced a beautiful arc in the air, landing accurately within that marked area.
