Fishing Livestream -
Chapter 672 - 672 659 Confrontation
672: Chapter 659: Confrontation 672: Chapter 659: Confrontation The little flurry of a short circuit inside the house didn’t attract much attention among the Fisherman, as the Winter Fishing Hall continued to yield fish, and everyone’s focus was quickly drawn there.
At this moment, probably the most frustrated person was the electrician buddy, who had taken on a big responsibility by promising Boss Zhang to help with the wiring.
Now the bites in the house were becoming more frequent, almost reaching a continuous streak; neither leaving nor standing there could alleviate his itch to fish.
Yue Feng, while continuing to fish, grinned and swept his gaze across the audience, saying to the friends in the live streaming room, “There was a little hiccup just now, but overall, it’s still pretty good!
The bites are picking up again, and who knows, we might be able to snag a few more!”
“Something doesn’t feel right, Feng bro, did you do something sneaky!”
“I have that strange feeling too!
Usually, when Feng bro live streams fishing, he rarely gets up to go to the bathroom!
But this morning, in just a short while, he went out several times in a row!”
“That aside, why would there be a short circuit out of nowhere, I feel like there’s a conspiracy afoot!”
“Don’t even mention it, the fish activity is bizarre, and Feng bro is also acting out of the ordinary today!
What in the world is going on?”
After the base of viewers in the livestream grew, some keen-eyed people emerged, and after a few who could be called Sherlocks stirred things up in the public chat, everyone started to realize that there was something unusual about the event.
Yue Feng smirked and said noncommittally, “You guys have seen through me, I did have a little discovery just now!”
“Holy smokes, you guessed it?
Is there really something fishy going on?”
“Spill it, what’s the deal?
I’m totally confused watching this!
I just feel like something’s off!”
Yue Feng, while pulling in his line and spearing fish, said with a grin, “The bites suddenly stopped for no good reason and I had a bad feeling about it, so I took a stroll and noticed a little problem!
In the southwest corner, by the big side, that guy was getting drifts!
Later, I took a walk around and found out that the boss was secretly drawing well water into the pond!”
“Drawing well water?
Why draw well water if it’s unnecessary?
The water levels are sufficient, aren’t they?
Evaporation in winter isn’t that serious, right?”
“The guy upstairs, are you really clueless or just pretending?
It’s way below zero degrees outside during this season, how cold must the well water be!
Once well water is drawn in, the water temperature in the pond drops, and the fish stop biting!”
“Damn, that’s something else, that’s a bit dirty, ain’t it?
So the sudden stop in bites was because the water was too cold at the bottom!”
“Then what?
What happened after that?”
“Crap, then the short circuit happened, and a big fireball burst out!
Feng bro, you didn’t…”
Yue Feng shook his head with a smile, “You can’t just say anything, all I did was go to the bathroom, I didn’t do anything!
You know what I mean!”
With a knowing “you know what I mean,” the viewers in the live stream immediately understood, realizing it was no good deed and indeed inappropriate to discuss openly.
“Now with the short circuit, there’s no way to draw more water, and the fish have started to bite again, resuming the spree!”
“This sleazy pond boss is too damn harmful, what goes around comes around; Feng bro did nothing wrong!”
“Throw out some more Loose Powder and fish them all out!
Can’t they take a joke?
Boss was a bit shady last time I came fishing, and now he’s playing new tricks!”
Yue Feng: “Enough of this, let’s continue with the fishing!
How many were counted just now, let’s keep going!”
“87!
Counting this one it’s 88!”
“Grab a few more and we’ll be home free, haul ’em in!!”
For the better part of the next half-hour, the pond was lively once again, and only gradually did the bites begin to thin out.
By that point, Yue Feng’s catch had broken through the significant milestone of 120 fish.
Just when everyone thought that today’s drama was over, the small door of the Winter Fishing Hall was violently pushed open, and Zhang Wenliang stormed in furiously.
“Which son of a bitch short-circuited the wires next to the toilet?
If you’re a man, step forward!”
Hearing this, Yue Feng’s heart sank; Zhang Wenliang had discovered the short circuit!
Though Zhang Wenliang seemed to be addressing everyone present, his eyes were fixed steadfastly on Yue Feng as he spoke.
When the electrician was replacing the wires, a cursory inspection of the problem area quickly revealed the root of the short circuit: the neutral and live wires at the mouth of the submersible pump’s shaft had been tampered with.
After reporting this to his boss, Zhang charged in, seething with rage.
Needless to say, the timing of the incident pointed to Yue Feng, who had been in the vicinity of the well prior to the occurrence, making him the prime suspect.
Yue Feng hadn’t planned on bringing the matter to light, but now that Zhang had barged in, practically cursing at him, Yue Feng was no pushover.
He couldn’t stand being treated like a spineless coward.
So the next second, Yue Feng set down his fishing rod and stood up calmly from his spot.
“I was the one who connected the wires,” Yue Feng admitted in front of everyone.
Zhang, although angry, wasn’t sure of himself.
The toilet area was a blind spot for the cameras; as long as the culprit didn’t confess, he had no way to prove anything regardless of his suspicions.
He thought venting his anger inside the warm shed would be the end of it without any real intention to seek accountability.
Unexpectedly, Yue Feng didn’t bother with concealment, admitting his actions openly in front of the dozens of anglers at the pond.
Seeing Yue Feng stand, Zhang strode over in his direction.
The child looked over nervously at first, and Qiangzi along with Wang Meng also stood up from their spots.
“We’re here to fish in peace.
Why would you short-circuit things?
It’s lucky no one was hurt.
If someone had been burned badly, or if a fire had started and the place burned down, could you have taken responsibility?” Zhang questioned assertively.
Yue Feng smirked, “Don’t you know what you’ve done?
Or do you need me to expose you publicly?”
Upon hearing this, all the anglers in the pond were bewildered.
How did fishing turn into a riddle of short circuits and confrontations?
They couldn’t grasp what the two men were talking about!
“What have I done?
You better give me an explanation for today’s incident, or I’m calling the police to see if the government will hold you accountable!” Although Zhang’s momentum wasn’t as strong as before, he stood his ground.
Yue Feng replied, “We paid our money, naturally to fish here!
But what about you?
In order to control the number of catches, you secretly siphoned well water into the pond.
Did you think you were flawless?
That no one else knew?
I didn’t feel like bursting your bubble, but you act like you’ve been gravely wronged?
Each person pays 808 for a ticket; that’s almost 20,000 for twenty anglers!
Go on, call the police now.
I want to see who exactly the cops will take away!”
A moment ago, the crowd was utterly confused, but in the next second, they understood the whole story.
Zhang had been covertly drawing well water into the pond, no wonder today’s catch felt a bit off!
“You’re making things up!
I didn’t do anything!
Where’s your proof?” Zhang’s expression froze, and his assertiveness waned even further.
The corner of Yue Feng’s mouth turned up slightly, “What’s that PVC pipe by the position in the southwest corner used for?
I went outside and saw it connected to a hose that led directly to the submersible pump in the well!”
