Fishing Livestream -
Chapter 664 - 664 651 Underweight
664: Chapter 651 Underweight 664: Chapter 651 Underweight The whole process took about twenty minutes, with Yue Feng and Doll eating two servings of piping hot braised chicken with rice and a few additional side dishes in front of the live camera.
After eating his fill, Yue Feng let out a satisfied belch and took a slurp from his thermos cup of hot tea.
He was feeling rejuvenated.
Having had a hearty meal, the half-hour oxygenation break soon came to a close.
One after another, anglers who had finished eating returned to their fishing spots to wait for the aeration to stop before fishing, but Yue Feng didn’t rush to fish.
Instead, he activated his ‘Skill’ and took another look inside the pond.
After the second addition of ‘Fish Relief’ and appetizer medicine, the fish activity in the pond turned to a fishing-friendly green.
Confident, Yue Feng baited two hooks with elastic grain pellets and cast them out again.
“Alright, brothers, we’ve had our food and drink, back to work!” Yue Feng called out.
No sooner had he spoken than the float was still on its downward path when it bobbed distinctly, signaling a bite.
Yue Feng lifted the rod to set the hook, and off they went!
The first fish was hooked and landed after a satisfying meal!
“Wow, Brother Feng finally caught another fish.
It seems that the braised chicken with rice really does the trick!”
“Yeah, you up there are spot on, braised chicken with rice really keeps the hunger at bay!”
“Not just keeping the hunger at bay, my point is, after Feng ate, the fish started biting!”
“If the fish don’t eat, Feng will; now that Feng is full, the fish should start feeding too.
Call me the logic genius!”
Yue Feng scratched his head: “What are you all on about, making no sense like a cotton sleeve!
Those who haven’t shared the live stream yet, please help share it.
Time to get to work, folks!”
A few minutes later, the oxygen machine stopped, and Boss Zhang, who had shut off the power, sauntered back into the shed.
But when he got inside, he was taken aback—to see more than a dozen people, all energetically casting their lines.
The usually effective two-scoop fish-stopper medicine seemed possessed today; even after three heaped scoops, it still hadn’t worked!
It might be said that the fish-stocking wasn’t properly managed, but Boss Zhang had used this fish-stopper medicine before with very satisfying results.
Why wasn’t it working today?
With three hours left until the end of the official fishing period, if the frenzy of catching fish continued, the pond’s thousand-odd pounds of fish would be wiped out!
What to do?
What to do?
Boss Zhang racked his brain, but couldn’t come up with a single solution that would have an immediate effect.
After five more minutes of observation and seeing fish continuously being pulled out, the pit owner’s heart ached unbearably.
He couldn’t stand it any longer and left the shed.
He had collected the fishing fee and stocked the fish, but without understanding how to apply the fish-stopper, there was nothing else to do but admit defeat.
He wouldn’t be at a loss since the event was fully booked; he just wouldn’t earn as much as he could have.
Out of sight, out of mind, he decided to go back and drink his sorrows away.
The situation with the fish became much simpler after that.
Yue Feng dipped beans and ‘Doughballs’ every now and again, kept a low frequency, and the bite got faster and faster, resulting in a burst of successive catches.
The whole venue had been lively for nearly an hour after the aeration stopped, and only then did the fish bite gradually come to a halt.
After such a long period of frenzied activity, the pond was virtually emptied of fish.
In this nearly hour-long span, Yue Feng had taken at least thirty more fish, taking the live stream’s final tally to an astonishing 85 fish.
Even if each fish weighed a minimum of 2.5 pounds, the total haul exceeded 200 pounds.
He was far ahead of the others.
When the bite stopped, Yue Feng didn’t end the live stream and leave, instead, he engaged in banter about all and sundry with his online friends, sticking it out until the official fishing time was up.
Now, of the twenty people in the fishing venue, only the last seven warriors remained; the others had long since packed up, sold their fish, and gone home.
Boss Zhang, face flushed and reeking of alcohol, rudely pushed open the tarp curtain and shouted, “The official fishing time is over, everyone reel in!
Anyone who keeps fishing will be charged extra for trying to steal a march!”
There had been virtually no bites in the pond for more than an hour; not to mention donkeys, even the wooden stakes used to tether them had all been taken.
No one was foolish enough to keep fishing and waste their money.
Yue Feng packed up the fishing rod, line, and everything else, placing it neatly on a trolley box and setting it to one side.
“Brothers, the main fishing session for today has ended.
Let’s showcase our catch!”
After a greeting, Yue Feng took the Fish Guard off the clasp of the Fishing Box, grasped it with both hands, and hauled the fish up with effort.
The new generation of Black Pit owners, upgraded by Yue Feng, boasted extra thick and strong horse rubber fishing lines.
It wasn’t a problem to fill a Fish Guard with two to three hundred pounds of fish; these owners were known as “Thousand Pounders” in the angling circles.
Once the fish were pulled out of the water and splayed out, the sight was incredibly impactful for the viewers in the live stream.
“Holy crap, that’s a huge pile!”
“Filling failed, the undefeated legend continues!”
“Bringing it ashore with a twist, that’s just how badass it is!”
“Does the Fishing King play around for nothing?
Just do it.
When Yue Feng moves, he solves all the tough problems!”
Yue Feng: “That’s all for our catch, let’s call the boss over to weigh the fish.
After we’re done with that, we’ll prepare to end the stream.
Boss, time to sell the fish!”
Upon hearing “sell the fish”, Boss Zhang came over with a cart and plastic baskets, wincing at the sight of the many fish in Yue Feng’s Fish Guard.
Boss Zhang disingenuously said, “Bringing a pretty lady to the fishery for fun, and you ended up catching so many of my fish, not bad, young fellows!”
Yue Feng grinned and replied, “You have good quality fish here, quite satisfying!”
“Help me out, let’s get the fish into the basket.
Each basket’s weight will be reduced by eight pounds, just to be clear beforehand!”
“Sure!”
A normal plastic basket weighs around six and a half pounds, and they were reducing eight, but Yue Feng didn’t quibble and promptly agreed.
The fish in the Fish Guard filled two baskets to the brim and, straining, he lifted them onto the cart.
Boss Zhang pulled the cart toward the weighing area.
Knowing that the boss was a bit shady, Yue Feng followed with his live streaming phone in hand.
“Two baskets of fish, 211 pounds, minus 16 pounds for the basket weight, that gives a net weight of 194 pounds!”
Boss Zhang glanced at the display with a droopy eyelid and, after announcing the total, was about to dump the fish into a temporary storage bag.
“Wait a minute!” Just then, Yue Feng stopped Boss Zhang’s actions.
“What’s up?”
“Your numbers seem a bit off,” Yue Feng said unapologetically.
He may dupe others, but Yue Feng had a sharp eye.
A normal basket of fish filled to that extent should weigh at least around 140 pounds, and the other basket a bit less, but definitely at least 100 pounds.
Together, that would be at least 240 pounds.
Compared to Yue Feng’s estimated weight, allowing Boss Zhang to weigh them haphazardly like this meant a difference of at least several tens of pounds of fish!
At three bucks a pound, that’s over a hundred dollars.
Yue Feng might not be short of cash, but he certainly wasn’t going to let this unscrupulous boss benefit unjustly.
“What do you mean ‘a bit off’?
It says 211 pounds right there!
The display’s clear as day!” Boss Zhang argued, pointing at the monitor.
Yue Feng lifted both fish baskets off and had the kid step onto the electronic scale.
The kid may seem to eat without restraint usually, but he’s always had a very standard figure and weight—fasting weight of 101 pounds, and even with heavy clothes in the winter, it’s only about 105.
But when the kid stepped on, the display only showed 84 pounds.
