Chapter 566 - 566 553 Delicious Delights from the Mysterious Eastern Country

566: Chapter 553: Delicious Delights from the Mysterious Eastern Country 566: Chapter 553: Delicious Delights from the Mysterious Eastern Country At this point, Yue Feng hadn’t exaggerated at all; they had reached the Clearwater area, and the rod and line they used were of a larger size, which allowed for a very high margin of error.

The big fish underwater sprinted in three or four bursts, but still failed to create a miracle.

After about five minutes, its energy was depleted, and Yue Feng pulled it to the side of the boat.

The drone gave a close-up shot immediately.

Peacock Bass, giant Peacock Bass!

Compared to this giant, the two peacock bass they had caught earlier were like a tiny prince next to a raptor pickup truck; not just a younger brother, but truly a grandchild in scale!

“Big Peacock Bass, slow down on controlling the fish!

A size like this depends on luck!

Even the locals rarely encounter them,” Zhou Jie hurriedly reminded Yue Feng.

Yue Feng nodded and smiled, reached behind his waist to get out the fish control tool and strapped it onto his left wrist before clamping it onto the giant fish’s mouth—sealing its fate.

Using the Lure pliers to remove the hook, Yue Feng lifted the fish.

What a specimen, broad and thick, one entire size larger in length, this fellow seemed to weigh at least ten kilos!

The fish’s body had three striking black bars, which looked quite stunning.

“Guys, we are rather lucky, we got this giant Peacock Bass in Clearwater area!

Tonight back at camp, I’ll show off a bit, prepare steamed Peacock Bass for us to taste!”

“Damn, that’s big!

If this was in China, such a big one would be quite valuable!”

“Don’t we have a digital scale?

Weigh it, let’s see how much it weighs!

I seriously doubt this big fellow is over six kilograms!”

“Yes, yes, yes, on the scale!”

Yue Feng: “Alright, let’s weigh it and see how much exactly!”

Yue Feng gave a callout to the kid, who then turned and fetched a hanging digital scale from the toolbox.

The digital scale was quickly found and handed to Yue Feng.

“Hang the digital scale to the fish control tool, lift it, subtract the skin after weighing, the final net weight 6125g!

About twelve kilos and a half!” Yue Feng read out the weight displayed on the digital scale.

After weighing the fish, as Yue Feng handed over the digital scale, he glanced at the kid, who seemed a bit dazed with a slower response and slightly red around the forehead, which seemed somewhat off.

“What’s wrong?

Are you feeling a bit unwell?” Yue Feng asked, putting aside the fish and showing concern.

The kid shook her head slightly: “I feel a bit dizzy, but it should be nothing!

Just continue the broadcast, I’ll rest for a bit!”

Being abroad, Yue Feng was always highly vigilant about safety.

Even though the kid said it was nothing, Yue Feng quickly removed her hat and scarf to check on her.

The young girl had unconsciously sweat a lot on her forehead, and her complexion looked somewhat pale.

“Zhou Jie, check if the kid has heatstroke!” Unsure, Yue Feng turned to seek help from the accompanying Zhou Jie.

Zhou Jie looked and asked a few questions, then confirmed, “It’s a slight heatstroke, the temperature here is too high, and it’s hard to adapt when you just arrive!

Going back to rest in a shady place should be fine!

The camp also has Huoxiang Zhengqi water for heat relief!”

Yue Feng glanced at his phone, and it was now just past ten fifty.

Heading back would get them to the camp around eleven thirty, just in time for lunch.

“Let’s go back!

No more fishing,” Yue Feng decisively said.

“Fengfeng, I’m fine!

You’re live streaming!” Wawa persuaded.

Yue Feng: “Listen to me, head back to camp!”

“Brothers in the live stream!

Wawa is feeling a bit heatstricken and uncomfortable, so we’ll end our fishing session this morning here!

The first target fish has been successfully caught, and if given the chance, after resting at noon, I will continue the stream in the afternoon!

Signing off now, bye-bye!”

After a quick greeting, Yue Feng turned off the live stream!

Zhou Jie and Fabio said goodbye, and the Captain turned the boat around toward the camp.

Back at the camp, Wawa’s face had turned bright red, and she was sweating profusely, looking very distressed.

Zhou Jie, experienced with heatstroke, found some Huoxiang Zhengqi Liquid for Wawa to drink, and got some ice wrapped in a towel to cool her down.

After a flurry of activity, Wawa’s condition finally improved.

“Whew!

Silly girl, if you feel uncomfortable, you should say so earlier, you scared me to death!” Yue Feng said caringly as he lightly pinched Wawa’s nose.

Wawa pouted: “I thought it was just because of the hot weather!

I didn’t want to disrupt your streaming.”

“Nonsense!

This is the foreign jungle, not our backyard!

Go lie down inside the house, and I’ll have them start the generator, so you can use the fan.”

“Okay!” Wawa nodded obediently, feeling extremely happy to see Yue Feng so concerned.

Once the generator started humming and electricity reached the camp, Yue Feng breathed a sigh of relief.

That was when he remembered, the fish caught had not yet been dealt with; he had promised his viewers a cooking segment.

With that in mind, Yue Feng quickly located Fabio.

Fabio, was not idle on returning to the camp, he was already under the shade of a tree, helping with the fish due to the high temperature, if the fish weren’t processed quickly after leaving the water, they could spoil easily.

At that moment, the Captain had nearly finished preparing the fish.

The two men, not speaking the same language, used simple gestures to approximately understand each other’s intentions, trading the smaller PiIranhas, while Yue Feng took the largest one himself!

He pulled out his cell phone to record the segment for steaming Peacock Bass.

In the local indigenous community, the methods of cooking fish were basic, either grilling or frying, very monotonous.

When Yue Feng expressed a desire to cook the fish using a method from China, it piqued Fabio’s interest.

Yue Feng searched through the supplies bought from Zhou Jie, finding scallions, ginger, and black pepper powder from a Chinese supermarket along with various common seasonings like oyster sauce.

He made cross cuts on both sides of the big fish, stuffing it with sections of scallions and ginger slices to marinate for a while.

Steaming soy sauce and oyster sauce were mixed, and along with the fish, placed in a large iron pot with a lid to steam for 10 minutes.

Once the fish was steamed, heated oil was poured over the surface, and the job was done!

This dish in China was a simple homecooked meal that any family could make, but in the Amazon, it seemed quite alien to Fabio!

The spices labeled in Chinese were mostly unfamiliar to him, nor had he seen locals use scallions and ginger or marinate fresh fish with cross-cuts.

Could this be tastier than deep-fried fish?

When the hot oil was poured over the fish and the aroma released, Fabio realized he had been wrong!

Truly delicious!

As soon as the steamed Peacock Bass came off the stove, its aroma spread throughout the camp’s wooden huts, attracting several logistical staff members, who were drawn in by the smell to the separate kitchen designated for cooking for guests, drooling and eager to taste the delicacy from the mysterious East.
