Chapter 443 - 443 432 Moving Grand Opening of the New Store

443: Chapter 432: Moving, Grand Opening of the New Store 443: Chapter 432: Moving, Grand Opening of the New Store This is a specially researched model of moldy reed float, and just from the exchange price alone, it is at least a class higher than the common commercial versions.

A set of five, the float shape is a robustly versatile triple-split long jujube nucleus, covering all the commonly used fishing conditions in freshwater Taiwan Fishing from small to large sizes.

Liu Fengnian opened the Float Box and took a glance, and his gaze never left it again!

As previously mentioned, the material used to make reed floats is not actually reed, but a common aquatic plant in the south called Southern Rush.

Southern Rush also has grades, and there’s an older version of Southern Rush that has been exposed to the sun and wind for a very long time.

Over time, the moisture and sugar content naturally degrade, making the material very light.

Floats made from this material perform much better than those made from ordinary Southern Rush.

What’s more captivating is that after being exposed to the elements, the surface of the Southern Rush develops a layer of uneven, mold-like speckles.

These spots, paired with the natural texture and processed by sanding, polishing, and painting, look particularly beautiful.

However, good moldy reed material is scarce and hard to come by.

If the exposure to sun and wind is too brief, the core of the Southern Rush float remains moist, and the fibers contain too much sugar, making the performance unstable and not meeting the requirements, which is worse than the normal process of dehydration and sugar extraction.

If the exposure is too long, the tough outer skin becomes overly decayed.

Though lighter, it loses strength and becomes very fragile and unusable.

To create an exceptional performance and perfectly appealing moldy reed, one needs to select the materials very carefully before production; it’s not excessive to say that the best quality moldy reed is one in a thousand at the material stage.

“Moldy reeds!

Fuck, a whole set of moldy reeds!” Liu Fengnian couldn’t help but swear in awe.

“Brother Liu, isn’t this just a reed float?

What’s there to be amazed about?

It’s just prettier with the paint, I don’t see any difference from the last one!” Qiangzi said, not thinking much of it.

Liu Fengnian pursed his lips and said irritably, “You know shit.

This is moldy reed, not ordinary reed!

These floats made from moldy reed have slightly greater buoyancy!

It’s very rare to find suitable materials to make a whole set of various sizes and thicknesses!”

“Oh, that intricate, huh?

Pretty rare, right?

Then I’ll take a set too!

Not to use myself, but to give away!” Qiangzi scratched his head and said.

Yue Feng said with a smile, “You three each get a set.

Fair share!

No need for money, but you’ll have to help me move house this afternoon and tomorrow!

We need to move everything in the little shop to the city!”

“This is a bit too precious though!” Liu Fengnian said while lovingly examining the floats and somewhat disagreeing with Yue Feng’s offer to give them away for free.

“It’s decided then!

If we’re brothers, let’s not make it so formal!”

Ultimately, it was the rarity of the floats that prevailed, and Liu Fengnian nodded without insisting on paying.

Apart from floats, Yue Feng also purchased several concentrated medicinal syrups and bait companion additives using Points.

These items didn’t take up much space, and after merely asking and learning that they were semi-finished raw materials, Liu Fengnian and the others didn’t inquire any further.

For lunch, Yue Feng and a few colleagues went to a dog meat restaurant on the street, celebrating moving house in advance.

Depending on someone for food makes you beholden; Liu and the others ate and took, mindful of the afternoon work, so they naturally didn’t drink much at lunch.

After a quick rest post-lunch, they started helping Yue Feng pack and organize the store goods, being busy until evening before finally taking a break.

Though Yue Feng’s small store had been in operation for less than a half-year, he had intentionally adjusted the variety of products, and describing it as small but complete in every detail was very apt.

A small twenty-something square meter shop, yet nearly thirty big boxes of various product goods were neatly organized.

By the next morning, a moving van would arrive, load everything in one go, and transport it to the new store—that’s it!

After finishing work, it was time for meals again, Yue Feng called out, “Alright, continue, let’s go to the barbecue stand!”

In the evening, drinking became much more casual, they kept drinking, chatting, and playing until almost eleven o’clock, and then they dispersed.

The next morning, Liu and the other two arrived at the shop before seven o’clock.

They were all robust old guys.

After the moving truck arrived and a round of tidying up, Yue Feng’s little shop that he had run for nearly four to five months was completely emptied.

Upon arriving at the new store, they separated the stock from the sample area.

The samples continued to be displayed, and the stock was stored in the warehouse.

In one day, the four brothers, including Yue Feng, along with the four workers in the shop, neatly sorted out the moving.

After the move, the grand opening of the new store was officially scheduled.

At Liu’s reminder, the procedures for ordinary private businesses were a bit delayed, so they went straight to a professional and registered a small company.

Afterward, various contracts, taxes, factory cooperation, etc., were also easier to handle.

The registered company name was Yue Feng Fishing Cultural and Sporting Goods Company.

The main business covered the production of fishing gear and baits, and the dissemination of fishing culture, among other aspects.

A week later, after all procedures were completed, they picked an auspicious day for the grand opening!

Over these six months, Yue Feng had also accumulated quite a few regular customers and friends from fishing.

On the opening day, most of Liu Fengnian’s friends from his circle came, as well as influential leaders from the City Fishing Association managed by President Lu.

In addition, fishermen who heard the news came to congratulate, and the hotel had to set up six big tables.

After opening, Yue Feng entered an adaptation period.

He stayed at the shop every day, smoothed out various issues, and contacted channels to restock critically low inventory products, just like a normal shopkeeper running a wholesale fishing gear business.

However, looking the part didn’t mean he was just that.

During this period, Yue Feng reorganized the shop’s inventory system and directly dealt with a portion of the products that were targeted at the super low-end market.

This meant the most basic retail street stall goods were no longer handled.

This freed up more space and resources for new products.

In a week’s time, all the express deliveries from the last merchandise supply were shipped, and Yue Feng’s newly organized flagship products were already taking shape.

Seeing the opportunity was ripe, Yue Feng once again posted a notice, “Big announcement tonight!

And there’s limited edition goodies lined up for everyone!”

At eight o’clock sharp, Yue Feng started the live stream on time.

“First!”

“Front row!”

“Folks downstairs, rank how handsome dad is!”

“First!”

“Reserving a front-row seat!”

“Finally, a live stream, Yue Bro disappeared for a week!

Last time he mysteriously ended the stream after checking rooms, is there some secret?”

“Yue Bro posted about a big announcement, does anyone know?

Spill some gossip first!”

Yue Feng glanced at the live stream, “Hello everyone, brothers, I’m here!

Been a bit busy this past week, handled a few big things, and today on the stream, I’m going to report back to the brothers!”
