Fishing Livestream
Chapter 307 - 307 296 Master Ku Diao

307: Chapter 296: Master Ku Diao 307: Chapter 296: Master Ku Diao Wang Quan casually lit a cigarette, took a puff, and said with the cigarette in his mouth, “Who cares about him?

Looking at the way he prepares his bait spot, there’s no technique, and he’s just using ordinary corn and pellets or whatever!

I glanced over earlier and he’s using a 7.2-meter rod, while on each side of us, we have an 8.1-meter one.

Even if we get surrounded, we’ll snuff him out!”

“We’ll just fish normally, and if he starts live streaming, then let him embarrass himself!

The corn I got from a friend out of town is no joke.

I catch fish splendidly—it’s like every bean takes down an enemy!

As long as there are fish at the bait spot, it’s a sure thing!

Let him keep his live stream on and watch us smoothly catch fish continuously!”

“Alright!

Xiao Li was quite generous this time.

It started to bite last evening just as it got dark, and I reckon it will be the same today.

We should replenish the bait spot a bit after six o’clock to be on time!”

“No problem!”

The two guys by the water each had their own schemes, but Yue Feng was quite comfortable in the car, lying back in the back seat playing with his phone, parked under the shade of some poplar trees.

From time to time, he glanced at his fishing box; even without casting a line, he felt pretty good.

Before he knew it, the evening arrived, past six o’clock, and the sun had already set in the southwest direction.

Under normal circumstances, it would be dark around seven o’clock.

Taking advantage of this time, Yue Feng filled his stomach with some bread in the car and seeing that it was about time, he unloaded the fishing rods and other equipment from the car and officially began to fish.

Before fishing, Yue Feng specifically recorded a short live broadcast preview clip.

“Water released upstream, night fishing at East River for big catches, lots of oblivious fish, hurry over!”

When choosing his fishing spot and preparing the bait spot earlier that afternoon, Yue Feng had used his skills to survey the area around the bait spot.

Overall, the spots around the plowshare were all good locations, and with his secret bait prepared, the fish activity wasn’t likely to be poor tonight.

Back at his fishing spot, having set up his rod holder, fishing net, and all his gear, Yue Feng officially began to fish.

After casting a few rods, Yue Feng realized a problem: the rods used by the two fishermen next to him were both longer than his, at least around 8.1 meters, and they weren’t lined up evenly.

“Buddy, how long is your rod?

It looks pretty long?” Yue Feng casually asked.

“Eight point one meters!

I’ve joined onto someone else’s spot!” Wang Quan replied.

Yue Feng nodded, “Oh!

Alright!”

If the rods on the other side were longer than his by a full size, it put him at a disadvantage, especially when fishing for slightly bigger fish.

Being next to each other, an inch longer is an inch stronger, a timeless truth.

However, Yue Feng remained calm knowing this news, figuring the advantage of his bait might compensate for the difference.

As the sun slowly set and night fully fell, the waterside, quiet for several hours, began to yield fish again.

Yue Feng observed that most of the catches were large crucian carp weighing around three or four taels, golden yellow in color, unlike the white-bellied native crucians downstream—a clear indication they came rushing down from the reservoir.

They were large and quite plump, looking very decent.

While he was eyeing others catching fish, Yue Feng’s electronic float suddenly gave a big tug, taking him by surprise as the float shot up to the surface.

It was then Yue Feng reacted, lifted the rod and caught a crucian carp weighing over half a pound.

Seeing that fish were being caught, Yue Feng opened his fishing box and took out his drone.

“Sorry guys, the fish have started biting, so I’m going to start the livestream!

If it bothers you, please bear with me!” Yue Feng added, afraid that the fellow anglers nearby might mind.

“Oh, you’re a streamer?

Drone streaming?

That’s some advanced equipment!

Go ahead with your stream!

No worries!!” Wang Quan’s heart stirred, and he pretended to speak nonchalantly.

“Hehe, thanks a lot!” Yue Feng thanked him, then the drone took off and the livestream began.

“Front row!”

“Haha, Brother Feng is fishing in the wild again, front row +1!”

“Have you started fishing yet, Brother Feng?

How’s the bite?”

Yue Feng adjusted the camera’s position and whispered, “Hello everyone, I’m Yue Feng!

I heard from the anglers at the shop that they’ve released water into the East River, and the fishing’s good, so I couldn’t resist coming out to stream for a bit!

I arrived around four in the afternoon, prepared the bait spot, and only started fishing after it got dark!

So far a fish over half a pound!!”

“There are quite a few people, huh?

The spots by the harrow are packed with people.

Did anyone catch a big fish?”

“This feels just like the angler density during those spring weekend carp fishing sessions.

Brother Feng, the fishing atmosphere over there is really lively!!”

“Brother Feng, I’ve already received the Medicinal Wine.

That was fast, I only ordered it yesterday, and it arrived this evening!

I’ll try it out tomorrow morning and see how it works!!”

Yue Feng replied, “The fish are biting fairly well, I’ve heard someone caught a seventeen or eighteen pounder, but I got here late and didn’t see it with my own eyes!

Tonight we’ll fish into the early morning and see how our luck turns out!”

As Yue Feng was still warming up the chat with his audience, Wang Quan sneakily opened his fishing box, took out a corn bean from a tea-colored glass bottle and, treating it like a treasure, hung it on a single hook with number nine Ishiyama thread.

This corn bean was different from those commonly sold for hooking; whereas those are mostly made from fresh corn, his were old corn beans, the kind that had fully matured, dried out, and then processed by boiling until they burst open.

The old corn emitted an indescribable smell—not unpleasant, but hard to describe, akin to a mix of traditional medicine and animal innards, a far cry from the usual sweet fragrance of ordinary corn.

Strangely enough, after hooking the corn and casting it into the bait spot, it didn’t take long for the float to show some movement, with a large, 5-gram, night-light float showing a slight undercurrent, but quickly stabilizing.

Seeing the subtle movement of the float, Wang Quan immediately started gripping the handle of the rod, ready for the fish to bite more aggressively.

From his actions, it was obvious that this guy was quite experienced and must have had his own understanding of the float behavior.

Sure enough, after the float hesitated slightly, it abruptly slid sideways, and in a blink of an eye, it went under completely!

Wang Quan was using a Big Running Lead with a single hook; the bite was invisible, and after the float disappeared he didn’t hurriedly lift the rod.

Instead, he silently counted to three, delaying half a beat before finally striking!

With a whoosh, the rod lifted into a big, bending arc—fish on!

Yue Feng was busy chatting in the livestream when suddenly, the sound of a fish being struck attracted his attention.

“Damn, the angler next to me got a big one!” Yue Feng called out, immediately maneuvering the drone to focus on Wang Quan.

In night vision mode, except for a slight difference in the color of the clothes, everything else looked almost the same as in daylight.

An eight-meter Big Fish Rod was fully bent into a massive arc, suggesting the fish was no small catch.
