Chapter 45: White.

"Wow." She exclaimed, as they walked into his penthouse, her eyes scanning the place. "Troy, this is beautiful! Look at all these paintings. I’ve never seen black and brown look this good. You outdid yourself. Damn!" She exclaimed again, her legs taking her around the sitting room, as she checked out the place, her hands running across the surface of the cushions.

"You have a massive liking for black brown and white themes." She said, glancing at him.

"I most definitely do." He said chuckling nervously, rubbing his palms together.

"Are you cold? You can turn on the heat, if you want." She said, concerned.

"No, no. I’m not cold. It’s just.. let me show you your room." He said, already walking ahead.

Beth stood back with squinted eyes for a while, before going after him, shrugging her shoulders.

"Why do I have a room here? I already have one in the other penthouse." She asked, walking faster so she could catch up to him.

"You have five bedrooms, Beth." Troy said, keeping his voice steady as she threaded her fingers with his. "The one at your home, the one at the golden penthouse, and one each in our respective penthouses." He said firmly, holding her close.

Bethany walked speechlessly beside him, unable to form any words as she let his statement sit in.

These guys were really something.

He took her through a narrow hallway that had a couple of dark doors then stopped before door that was made of opaque glass, designed with intricate patterns.

"Mm, pretty." Beth commented, standing beside him, her eyes admiring the faint gold patterns.

"You can go in." He said, his voice a bit hoarse. Her scent was intoxicating him. It had been from the very moment they met at her house. Her intoxicating scent coupled with the nervousness that had consumed him since he woke up, were doing so many horrendous things to his mind and his body.

He had been keeping it in check, the entire time, but as it was, he was beginning to think he was loosing it, slowly.

"Okay." Beth chirped, turning the crystal knob, pushing the dorr open.

"Troy." She said breathlessly, her eyes scanning the stark white room, that had some golden accents.

The walls were painted white with streaks of gold, the tiles, the bed, the desks, the closet door, everything.

Everything looked so pristine, so pure, so calm.

"Troy!" She exclaimed, turning to him, her eyes almost popping from her sockets, her purse hanging loosely on her arm.

She was baffled to say the least.

Was she ever going to get used to their extravagance?

"This is too much." She whispered, tears forming in her eyes. Troy immediately pulled her to his chest, patting down her hair.

"This is too much, Troy." She whispered again, her tears staining his shirt.

"Nothing is too much for you, love. I’d do anything for you." He whispered back, placing his chin on her head.

After some minutes of sobbing, she leaned away from him, finding her footing. She wiped the remnants of tears on her chin, softly patting the wet patch on his dress shirt.

"I’m sorry." She said, her eyes on the patch, her hand digging into her purse in embarrassment.

"Sorry? I made you she’d tears of joy, Princess." Troy said laughing like she had said the most crazy thing. "If anything, I’m gonna frame this shirt." He teased, taking her hand in his.

"Come. Let’s check out your room." He said, guiding her into the room.

The room was way bigger than she thought it was. A king size mattress sat in the middle, dressed with pearly white bedsheets, it looked sinful to even sit on. A C-shaped desk sat at the corner of the room, a personal computer perched on it, and a very comfortable seat attached to it.

The shimmering golden curtains, covered half of her huge window, bigger than the one she had at home.

"I knew you loved your window at home, so I made sure you had one here as well, its attached to a balcony so you can swing out whenever you want." Troy said softly, coming up behind her, as she looked out at the other buildings.

"It’s beautiful, Troy." She said, leaning on chest.

It was quiet, it was pretty, it was soft, she had a massive window, and she could see a lot from there, unlike her window at home, where she could only see trees and the sun.

"I knew you’d like it." He said, wrapping his arms around her, taking a lung full of her scent. "I missed you." He muttered quietly.

"I missed you more. I couldn’t sleep last night." She admitted.

"We can remedy that. The sun’s too high out, so we can’t walk around. But if you want, I can take you to the mall or the museum or we could drive around, or fly around. Whichever one you want." He stated.

"I’d really love to see the city, but we can do that some other time. And I’m pretty sure you’re tired from driving so far."

"Baby, I’m an Alpha. Driving can’t tire me out." He tried to boast.

"Yeah, say that to the bags under your eyes. You guys were in town yesterday and came back early this morning, and you drove here again. You might be an Alpha, but your a human in the end." She said, poking him in the chest.

He caught her hand and suddenly took her lips in his, kissing her deeply, taking her by surprise. She leaned in almost immediately, her hunger bubbling to the surface, but he pulled away abruptly.

"I succeeded in shutting your smart mouth." He whispered, smiling lazily as he watched her frown.

"Not fair." She whined, making a move to catch his mouth with hers, but he dodged, laughing.

"Wicked boy." She cursed walking away from him.

"I’m going to shower and put on a movie in the theater." He informed her, already walking towards the door.

"Theater? I don’t know where that is." She pointed.

"You’re a smart girl, you’d find it." He said smirking, causing her to groan.

Asshole!
