Chapter 38: Seeking Permission.

Chapter 38: Seeking Permission.

Bethany quickly washed off the second batch of arousal that had pooled in her legs again as soon as she made it into the bathroom.

They were doing things to her. So many things she wouldn’t dare to admit.

She knew why they were here. To talk.

To talk about her request of last night.

She wasn’t sure why they wanted to speak to her in person, all at once. But she couldn’t do anything about it. Seeing all of them in her bedroom didn’t remotely piss her off. It did the complete opposite.

She’d never had anyone in her bedroom except her parents and Kevin who came in once by mistake, and never again since then.

But now, she had three handsome men littered across her room, like they’d rather be there than to be anywhere else.

They’d really turned her life around.

Sighing, she patted down her worn out top and shorts that stopped mid thigh but held her wobbly butt firmly, silently hoping her choice of clothing wasn’t inappropriate.

She silently creaked the bathroom door open, peeking alittle to see if they were still sitting in her room. Not seeing Theo on the bed, she opened the door completely to find an empty room.

Stepping into the room, she couldn’t help but feel the block of sadness that grew in her chest slowly.

As she approached there dressing table, she found a folded sheet of paper. Carefully picking it and opening it, her eyes ran across the letters.

It read; "Tristan thought it best to wait downstairs for you, so we’re there waiting. We’re sorry for invading your privacy, but something tells me you’re not sad at all. See you soon. Theo."

A small chuckle broke through her lips as she read the last part of the letter. She wasn’t angry at all. Not the slightest.

Sighing, she folded it neatly and put it in her lowest drawer then begun brushing her hair, her mind drifting to the way they looked at her earlier, the way their eyes glossed as they took her in, like they were looking at a very shiny gem.

Blushing, she put down her brush, packing her waist length hair in a loose ponytail, letting her bangs frame her face.

She considered putting on make up for a while before settling for a just little lip balm. It was a hot cherry shade that gave this sweet sizzling feel to your lips.

Puckering her lips a bit, she took in her appearance. She wasn’t one to be conscious of her clothing so she wasn’t exactly sure of what to look out for, but she did anyway and in her opinion, she looked just fine.

Taking a deep breath, she picked her phone and walked out of her room barefooted. She’d cleaned the floors earlier and wasn’t about to announce her presence.

On getting to the bottom of the stairs, she smiled, seeing they were playing a round of solitaire with her father’s cards, Troy slapping the back of Theo’s head.

"What?" Theo complained, rubbing the back of his head.

"You’re a jackass. You just tried to play me." Troy chipped, his eyes on his cards. All of them acting like they didn’t know she had come down.

"How else are my supposed to win?" Theo said.

"By playing honestly." Tristan muttered, winning the game, a smug smirk on his lips.

"You slimy bastard." Theo swore, dropping his cards.

"What? You play obvious games." Tristan said, turning to where his mate stood. "Come sit beside me." He said, patting the chair beside him.

Like a good girl, she went to sit on the chair he pulled out, Troy and Theodore arranging the cards.

"You guys better place it how you saw it. Dad doesn’t joke with his cards." She said lowly, her eyes following their movements as she tried to ignore the electricity that shot through her from Tristan’s hand on exposed thigh.

"You smell nice." Tristan muttered, sniffing her hair.

Pushing him away lightly, she chuckled in embarrassment. "That’s because I just showered." She said, her cheeks beet red.

"Nop. It’s because your sweet." Theo cooed from beside her.

"Alright, alright. Enough of the flattery." She said, shaking off their comments, and abit of the attention. "I believe you guys came to talk to me about something." She stated, her gaze moving from one person to the other.

"Yeah, we did." Tristan said, the atmosphere suddenly becoming thicker than before. "We think it’s a good idea."

"Oh. That’s good." She muttered, laughing nervously but stopped when she noticed that their solemn expressions hadn’t let up yet.

"What’s the issue?" She asked. "Why do you guys look so serious? Is there something I’m missing?"

"No, love." Troy said. "It’s nothing of that sort, it’s just.. during heat, there’s s very high tendency that the bond would be consummated and we wouldn’t want to go that far, without your permission." He stated.

"Princess." Theo called softly. "We might be Alphas, but it does mean we are immune to tbe pull, its even worse. I’m not telling you this because of sympathy, but because we want you to know all the facts surrounding this. Then you can decide." He stated.

Bethany sat still in her seat, absorbing everything they’d said.

Of course she had decided to go all the way with them on her own but knowing that it was a given from the upset made her feel weird, not exactly happy or sad.

’You can talk to mum about it later. That should help settle your doubts.’ Maria chimed, easing her mind.

’Okay. ’ Beth replied, her mind back to their conversation.

After a while of thinking, she was ready to talk.

"It’s okay." She said softly. "I wouldn’t mind going all the way with you guys, even though I don’t know what to expect. I’m not exactly experienced in that aspect." She muttered shyly. Her gaze lay completely on her fingers as they played with each other on the table top.

"Princess." Theo cooed, his palm on her thigh. "You have three mates. We can do all the knowing for you. We will guide you, every step of the way." He said softly, while she froze under his touch.

Was she ever going to get used to this?
