Chapter 430: Chapter 430: Don’t Follow Me
Yuan Xiao watched Cheng Qiaobei leave, yet a trace of puzzlement flashed in her eyes.
Upon reaching the cabin, Cheng Qiaobei didn’t find Huang Yuanwei but ran into Bai Ze.
Bai Ze was particularly warm upon seeing Cheng Qiaobei, "Cheng, I thought you might come too."
Cheng Qiaobei observed the crowd while chatting with Bai Ze, "When did you arrive?"
Bai Ze replied, "I’ve been here for a while, playing pool with a few friends upstairs. What about you?"
Cheng Qiaobei nodded knowingly, "I just got here."
"What a coincidence. I just came down and saw you." Bai Ze suggested, "The bar is on the sixth floor; shall we go and have a seat?"
Seeing more people boarding the ship, it wouldn’t be leaving anytime soon.
"Let’s go." Cheng Qiaobei followed Bai Ze into the elevator.
Since they parted ways during the last paragliding session, Bai Ze hadn’t had enough and was still thinking of inviting Cheng Qiaobei to the paragliding club again.
Bai Ze: "Are you free next weekend? Let’s go have some fun."
Cheng Qiaobei said, "There’s a lot going on at the company; I probably won’t be free until the end of the month. I’ll contact you if I find some time."
Bai Ze readily agreed, "Sure, do reach out when you’re free."
The two stepped out of the elevator, and Cheng Qiaobei ran into many acquaintances but still didn’t see Huang Yuanwei.
Meanwhile, in a private room on the seventh floor casino of the cruise ship.
Huang Yuanwei was playing Texas Hold’em with three friends; they all say that Texas Hold’em is a game of brainpower, calculating probabilities and engaging in psychological and probability battles with opponents.
The poker table at this moment resembled a miniature battlefield, tense and full of unknowns.
The dealer finished dealing cards, and instead of revealing his cards, Huang Yuanwei silently observed everyone’s expressions. Fan Dayong furrowed his brow, showing displeasure, Ni Kun seemed confident with a certain smile on his lips, and Feng Haisheng appeared impassive yet his eyes carried a sly hint as if calculating the others’ poker hands.
It seemed that Ni Kun and Feng Haisheng had good hands.
Huang Yuanwei unemotionally withdrew his gaze, picked up a corner of his poker card, and set it down expressionlessly.
As expected, Fan Dayong placed the smallest bet, followed by Ni Kun and Feng Haisheng, leaving it to Huang Yuanwei, who, after doing his calculations, chose to raise the bet.
Fan Dayong remarked, "Mr. Huang, are you trying to clean us all out?"
Ni Kun glanced at Huang Yuanwei and said, "Mr. Huang, take it easy; with you playing like this, I have no confidence."
While he spoke of having no confidence, he still chose to follow.
Feng Haisheng also smiled smugly, "Looks like Mr. Ni also has a strong hand."
The dealer dealt the cards again, and this time Huang Yuanwei went all in without hesitation.
In the end, Huang Yuanwei became the victor of tonight’s poker table.
Suddenly, the door behind was pushed open, and a stunning beauty approached Huang Yuanwei. She didn’t disturb his game but instead picked a grape and fed it to Huang Yuanwei.
He spat out the grape seed, and the beauty caught it with her palm.
Huang Yuanwei won again. Fan Dayong, losing over seven hundred thousand, decided to quit.
He left in a huff, while Huang Yuanwei leaned back leisurely in his chair, casting a disdainful glance at Fan Dayong until the door behind closed.
Huang Yuanwei asked, "Still playing?"
Ni Kun lost thirty thousand, Feng Haisheng over ten thousand. Both knew that continuing would mean more losses.
Using Fan Dayong’s departure as an excuse, they also opted out of playing further.
Huang Yuanwei stood up, gave the croupier chips worth fifty thousand as a tip, and instructed her, "Send the rest to my room."
The croupier took the money and obliged, "Okay, Mr. Huang."
Behind Huang Yuanwei, Ying Siyu glanced at the croupier, noting that in terms of looks and figure, she was no lesser. Moreover, the croupiers on this ship were all extraordinarily beautiful women.
Considering Huang Yuanwei’s nature, he might have taken a liking to her.
Ying Siyu clung to Huang Yuanwei’s arm, pressing her voluptuous chest against him and cooed, "Come on, I’ve been waiting for you forever."
From Huang Yuanwei’s perspective, the low-cut dress lifted her fair breasts, as if beckoning to him.
"You really can’t wait a bit." Huang Yuanwei laughed boldly, wrapping his arm around Ying Siyu’s slim waist as they left the room.
Ying Siyu recalled seeing someone propose on the deck earlier. As they walked to a secluded spot, she softly asked Huang Yuanwei.
"When do you plan to marry?"
Huang Yuanwei responded dismissively, "Everything’s fine, why bring that up again? What’s made you unhappy?"
Ying Siyu let go, pouting, and turned away from him. Huang Yuanwei quickly embraced her, trying to soothe her, "Why are you upset again?"
"Don’t you know why I’m angry?" Ying Siyu retorted.
Huang Yuanwei shook his head, "Is it that time of the month?"
Ying Siyu stomped her foot in anger and pushed him away, "Huang Yuanwei."
She decided not to bother with him and headed toward the resting room.
"Hey, hey," Huang Yuanwei caught up to her, now visibly impatient, grabbing her wrist with obvious displeasure, "Don’t take my patience for granted, who are you showing this face to? If you’re not happy, you can get off now."
With those words, Huang Yuanwei flung her hand away and turned back to leave.
Fearing he might go after the croupier from earlier, Ying Siyu went to chase him again.
"Huang Yuanwei, stop right there." Ying Siyu hugged him from behind, "I’ve been with you for four years, how long are you going to drag this on? You owe me an explanation."
Huang Yuanwei unclasped her hands from his waist, "I have nothing to say."
He took large strides away, and as Ying Siyu pursued, Huang Yuanwei suddenly turned and pointed at her, "Stop following me, I’m not joking. Go back to the room by yourself."
Ying Siyu stood frozen, watching him head towards the croupier, exasperated yet helpless, she could only hold back her frustration.
She knew from the start that Huang Yuanwei was just playing around, and she only wanted to gain benefits from him, but being together for four years was enough to form a habit. When you become accustomed to someone, it’s hard to break that habit.
Huang Yuanwei pushed open the room’s door; the croupier was counting the chips.
Hearing the door, she turned to see the man who’d been playing cards earlier.
The croupier said, "Mr. Huang, I just finished counting the chips and was about to send them to you."
Huang Yuanwei locked the door behind him and walked toward the croupier, pressing her down against the card table. As she struggled, he poured all the chips over her, making his intentions clear.
The croupier ceased her struggle but protected her chest and said, "There are cameras here."
Huang Yuanwei picked her up and moved her further inside.
The white shirt was torn open, buttons flying everywhere.
A wall away, the chair hit against the wall, making rhythmic sounds.
The banquet started promptly at seven. The president, Huang Kangtai, came to the deck but didn’t see Huang Yuanwei.
His son had been rebellious from a young age, though thankfully he was smart, never having given him trouble academically. After graduating from a prestigious university, he founded Zhengtong Capital and started investing, making quite a name for himself in the investment world over the years. Today, seizing the opportunity from the banquet, he planned to introduce more top-level resources to him.
Glancing at his watch, it was already six.
Huang Kangtai took out his phone and dialed Huang Yuanwei’s number, which rang for a long time before being answered.
"Where are you?" Huang Kangtai asked.
Huang Yuanwei, holding the croupier’s nape with one hand, tightly fitting together with her, grinding slowly, "Playing cards."
