Chen Ningxi took a deep breath, stood up, and walked toward the consultation room. Ye Yujun glanced back at the hall but didn’t see Cheng Qiaobei.

"Not waiting for Cheng?"

Chen Ningxi said, "He’ll come over after finishing his call."

The mother and daughter walked towards Room No. 3. Ye Yujun said, "My classmate went to a meeting out of town. Without someone around, it feels a bit uncertain."

Chen Ningxi said, "There’s nothing to be uncertain about. Whether he’s here or not, the doctor follows the normal procedure to see the patient. He can’t produce magic results for me."

She took out other test reports one after another. Cheng Qiaobei kept watching the doctor behind the desk, observing her expression.

This was one of the rare moments Chen Ningxi saw her mother lower her stance when speaking, and it was always for her.

The three of them left the consultation room. Ye Yujun said, "Cheng’s quick thinking really helps. Without her WeChat, we’d have to wait until next Wednesday to come back after completing the tests."

Cheng Qiaobei said, "Mom, if it weren’t for your support, she might not have added me as a friend."

Ye Yujun said, "If my classmate hadn’t gone to an out-of-town meeting, it would have been even easier to talk."

Ye Yujun asked, "Did you ask the guide?"

They returned to Room No. 3, where others were still consulting inside.

The door of Room No. 3 opened, and as people inside left, they hurried to enter.

Ye Yujun said, "Doctor Zhang, lucky us, we managed to complete all the tests."
