Fated Love With the Billionaire
Chapter 367 Seduction

Chapter 367: Chapter 367 Seduction

In this society, only change is the unchanging truth.

Shao Kang wasn’t in a rush to finalize the transfer paperwork, but Fan Jiaqian insisted and threatened that if the hotel wasn’t transferred to her name immediately, she’d go straight to his wife.

Under pressure, Shao Kang finished the transfer procedures yesterday afternoon.

Faced with the current situation, Cheng Qiaobei had no choice but to sit at a negotiation table with the new owner of Golden Faction Boutique Hotel—Fan Jiaqian.

As per the agreed time, Cheng Qiaobei arrived at the manager’s office.

Behind the desk sat a young, beautiful woman with exquisite makeup, her eyes hinting at something far from ordinary.

The moment she saw Cheng Qiaobei, Fan Jiaqian’s eyes lit up—it was a clear upgrade from Shao Kang, the greasy middle-aged man she’d dealt with before.

Shao Kang had mentioned to her that the boss from Danjiang was capable, and conditions had already been negotiated—all that was left was to sign.

Originally, Fan Jiaqian did plan to sign immediately, but now she felt the process needed a bit of "ups and downs."

Just as Deng Yan was about to follow behind Cheng Qiaobei, Fan Jiaqian stopped him, citing that his presence was oppressive.

Cheng Qiaobei turned back and signaled to Deng Yan, taking the contract handed to him. "Wait for me in the hallway."

Deng Yan nodded.

After closing the door, Cheng Qiaobei walked to the table. He was about to hand over his business card when Fan Jiaqian stepped out from behind her desk, proactively extended her hand, and greeted him with a seductive smile.

"Hello, Mr. Cheng."

Cheng Qiaobei lowered his gaze, briefly looking at the softly held handshake. Just as he was about to pull his hand away, Fan Jiaqian let go first, casually taking his card.

Her fingertips subtly grazed the back of his hand like a feather—an action seemingly unintentional but one that Cheng Qiaobei was keenly aware of.

Just as some female animals use scent to attract males, Fan Jiaqian was using fleeting touches to signal Cheng Qiaobei. If he accepted her bait, something might well happen between them today.

But Cheng Qiaobei acted as though he hadn’t noticed, maintaining his polite greeting:

"Hello, Manager Fan."

Fan Jiaqian’s smile faltered slightly, murmuring to herself—she’d seen plenty of outwardly righteous men who hid their lustful nature before.

She was certain Cheng Qiaobei was one of them.

Fan Jiaqian had the patience to play this game. In fact, the initial teasing was even more exciting—because men enjoyed the process of conquering women.

She pretended to carelessly shrug off her shawl, revealing snow-white shoulders and a full chest—any man would find it hard to look away.

Letting her hair fall seductively, she stood up and asked, "Manager Cheng, tea or coffee?"

Cheng Qiaobei politely avoided looking at things he shouldn’t and replied, "Thank you, water will be fine."

Swaying her serpentine waist as she walked to the mini-bar, Fan Jiaqian poured a cup of hot water, then returned to Cheng Qiaobei’s side. Leaning over, she placed the cup in front of him. "Manager Cheng, please enjoy your water."

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a flash of snow-white skin and quickly shifted his gaze to the side.

"Thank you."

Fan Jiaqian’s figure was full in all the right places and slender where needed—her light grey silk dress clung tightly to her alluring curves.

Cheng Qiaobei placed the file on the desk. "Manager Shao probably mentioned it—joining Eastern First-class. This is the franchise agreement; please take a look."

Fan Jiaqian looked confused. "He did mention it, but not in detail. Could you explain it again?"

Cheng Qiaobei lifted his eyes to her, gesturing, "Sure. Please open to the first page."

Fan Jiaqian obeyed and opened the file, while Cheng Qiaobei began carefully explaining the contents of the partnership. However, Fan Jiaqian’s eyes never left him, paying no attention to what he said.

After over an hour, Cheng Qiaobei closed the file and asked, "Manager Fan, that’s the entirety of the agreement. Do you have any questions?"

"Huh?!" Fan Jiaqian’s mind was yanked back to reality. She feigned composure and said, "I was following most of it."

Cheng Qiaobei handed her a pen. "Any objections to the content?"

Fan Jiaqian shook her head. "None at the moment."

Cheng Qiaobei pointed to the signature line. "If there are no objections, you can sign here."

Fan Jiaqian took the pen, intentionally brushing her fingers against his, but paused just before signing.

She looked up and said, "Manager Cheng, I’d like to review this more thoroughly and give you a reply later—is that okay?"

Some collaborators liked to negotiate last-minute changes; Cheng Qiaobei didn’t rule out the possibility that Fan Jiaqian might pull such a move. As long as it was within his expectations, he could handle it.

Checking his phone, Cheng Qiaobei said, "That’s fine. But I’ve booked a flight for tomorrow. If you haven’t decided by seven, then the partnership’s off the table."

Fan Jiaqian had another idea in mind and agreed readily.

"No problem. This is an important document—I should be cautious."

Cheng Qiaobei acknowledged. "Understandable."

He rose to leave, and Fan Jiaqian walked him to the door.

As they reached the entrance, Fan Jiaqian remarked, "A man as exceptional as Manager Cheng—I didn’t expect you’d marry so young."

Cheng Qiaobei glanced at his finger, where he always kept his wedding ring unless necessary to remove it.

He smiled. "My wife is exceptional too—I wanted to marry her early to lock her down."

"Oh? Manager Cheng is showing off his love life in front of me?"

Fan Jiaqian chuckled, her gaze sweeping upward as she appraised him—broad shoulders, slim waist, a well-toned physique. A premium man.

Cheng Qiaobei replied with subtle depth, "Not showing off, just avoiding misunderstandings."

Fan Jiaqian’s eyes glimmered; so he was making it clear she stood no chance.

But Fan Jiaqian wasn’t the type to let a man like Cheng Qiaobei slip through her fingers—she hadn’t yet met a man who didn’t eat meat.

She opened the door. "Take care, Manager Cheng."

Cheng Qiaobei nodded. "You’re too polite, no need to see me out."

Deng Yan immediately sensed something off about the way Fan Jiaqian looked at Cheng Qiaobei. He cleared his throat politely, said his goodbyes, then followed Cheng Qiaobei to the elevator.

The searing gaze behind them never left Cheng Qiaobei, yet he didn’t turn around.

Only after the elevator doors closed did Fan Jiaqian finally retreat.

She wasn’t pleased—she hadn’t managed to reel him in.

Once inside their room, Deng Yan closed the door and asked, "How did it go?"

Cheng Qiaobei’s expression was cold as he loosened his collar, walked to the desk, opened a bottle of water, and took a sip before answering. "She didn’t sign immediately—said she’d let me know later. I gave her until seven tomorrow, otherwise, it’s off."

Deng Yan frowned. "What’s she unhappy with?"

Cheng Qiaobei thought to himself—surely it wasn’t the contract she had issues with, but him?

Deng Yan considered for a moment. "Should I give Manager Shao a call?"

Cheng Qiaobei raised his hand to stop him. "No need—she’ll give us an update tonight."

Deng Yan froze for a second. Had he misheard?

"Tonight?"

Cheng Qiaobei’s gaze sharpened as he said pointedly, "Exactly what you’re thinking."

Deng Yan’s eyes widened, momentarily unsure how to respond. "... And you? Aren’t you worried...?"

Cheng Qiaobei capped the water bottle and placed it back on the table. "Why worry? It’s just a business discussion."

"That’s not what I’m worried about." Deng Yan sounded exasperated. "What if she makes unreasonable demands?"

Cheng Qiaobei sneered. "Depends on how unreasonable."

Deng Yan clenched his fists. "That’s not funny. What kind of person offers up their boss on the first deal?"

Sure enough, at ten o’clock at night—

Cheng Qiaobei received a text from Fan Jiaqian, asking him to bring the agreement to Room 508 for a discussion.
