Chen Ningxi understood this reasoning too, so she hadn’t planned on distributing the coupons as gifts either.

She said, "I’ll save them for giving to people from time to time, so I won’t have to call you for discounts every time."

Cheng Qiaobei chuckled, "When it comes to rewards, honor should be the main focus. The nature of work at your unit is different from our company’s. You could make an honor wall, for example, where you display photos of everyone’s award-winning moments in a prominent place at the unit. As for the rest, you’ll have to figure it out yourself."

Chen Ningxi nodded, recalling last year’s winter training event. "I got third place in pulling the line last year, and the prize was a bar of soap. Second and first prizes were towels and bath towels."

Cheng Qiaobei gave her a thumbs-up, "Impressive, impressive. So, where is that bar of soap now?"

Chen Ningxi said, "I used it long ago."

Chen Ningxi looked at his sly smile, "I’m really leaving now."

"Always leaving in a rush," Cheng Qiaobei held her hand playfully, "Have you figured out how to increase participation?"

Cheng Qiaobei said, "Low participation might be due to the way you set up the technical skills projects for the training. Either the training is too routine, or the technical content is too singular. I might not be saying it in a very professional way, but you should get my point."

Chen Ningxi said, "I understand."

Cheng Qiaobei continued, "Think about it, they’re dealing with the same things every day, and then they have to do these same things during the big industry training. It’s not challenging for them, and there’s nothing fresh about it. It’s like this Chunwang beef, no matter how good it tastes, if you make me eat it for a month, I’d get tired of it. Lu Xingyan said, "I’m with the inspection and maintenance department, telling you wouldn’t understand anyway."

Lv Jianglan asked in surprise, "You’re doing inspections? Not working in an office?"

Lu Xingyan was annoyed, "Mom, stay out of my business."

"If your dad doesn’t bother, and neither do I, what decent position would you hold at your unit?" Lv Jianglan said, "I need to have your dad make a call."

Lu Xingyan grew anxious, "Make a call for what? I’m quite happy here. Please, don’t get involved."

Lu Xingyan quickly pushed the shopping cart to catch up, "Manager Chen, are you also here to buy groceries?"

Chen Ningxi said, "Yes, I’m just passing by."

Lu Xingyan positioned himself between the two, "No need for introductions, right?"

Lv Jianglan had an elegant aura from within, a full forehead and rounded cheeks, carrying the demeanor of a wealthy woman.

She smiled and said, "What’s there to introduce? Manager Chen, do you often shop here?"

Chen Ningxi said, "Occasionally."

Lv Jianglan’s gaze was hard to decipher, but she maintained a polite smile on her face.

From their conversation earlier, it was apparent that Lv Jianglan wasn’t an easy person to talk to.

Lv Jianglan said, "We live nearby, next to Golden Bay, so it’s convenient for us, just across the street. Today Xingyan came back and said he was too tired and wanted something good to eat, so I brought him here."

Living in a standalone villa in Golden Bay meant wealth and status. Her next comment hinted at dissatisfaction with Lu Xingyan being assigned to the maintenance department.

Chen Ningxi took the fish and said, "Sister-in-law, I won’t hold you up for shopping. I have someone waiting for me to cook at home."
