Chapter 1364: Chapter 1364 Mrs. Cheney’s Business to Handle

He really just left like that.

Jasmine Yale was quite angry, but she still had to keep smiling.

She leaned over and took the cake box out from the front passenger seat.

The cake was neither too large nor too small, just enough for two people, and the Flower Home cake box was as beautiful as ever, with embossed patterns and delicate bows.

Overall, it was in pink tones, giving off a sweet aura.

Jasmine Yale had loved their cakes since she was a child; later, afraid of gaining weight, she rarely ate them.

She carried the cake box towards the living room.

She also deliberately didn’t call Sylvan Cheney, just watching him walk ahead.

This man had lost a lot of weight compared to before, but it was his own doing.

Yet, his silhouette remained as profound and captivating as ever.

Once in the living room, Jasmine Yale deliberately stood at the door not entering: "It’s heavy, I can’t hold it anymore."

Sylvan Cheney knew her little tricks and did not turn back: "If it’s too heavy, don’t eat it."

"Would you help me hold it for a while? Are you still a man? Watching a woman carry things and not helping?" She stood at the door, refusing to go in.

"..." Sylvan Cheney took off his coat and removed his gloves.

Jasmine Yale wore only a sweater and hadn’t worn gloves; now holding the cake box, her little hands were frozen red.

"I’m cold!" she exclaimed.

"..."

"Stingy man." Jasmine Yale gave in, not wanting to freeze herself, so she carried the cake box and went inside.

Was he jealous or angry?

Was it necessary just because she had a phone call with Mr. Carbon?

Jasmine Yale opened the cake box, and indeed, it was her favorite chocolate flavor, topped with a layer of animal cream, white and delicious.

She cut a piece.

It had been a long time since she had the cake from Landon, and Jasmine Yale couldn’t contain her excitement.

Sylvan Cheney wasn’t interested in sweets; he just frowned and glared at her: "Eat less."

"Hmm."

In the past, he would only buy her a cake during her birthdays, and even then, it was not bought personally but mostly just asked the servants to handle it.

She thought about it, although her birthday was still a long time away, Sylvan Cheney hadn’t celebrated her birthday for many years.

Jasmine Yale took a bite, it was really delicious, sweet but not greasy, the cake was soft and tasty.

Sylvan Cheney sat down to make a cup of tea and looked around the living room.

He didn’t know when there were fresh flowers added to the living room, they were baby’s breath and forget-me-nots.

Due to these flowers, the whole living room gained additional decoration and vibrancy.

"When did you buy these?" Sylvan Cheney looked at the flowers.

"This afternoon when Butler Santana went out, I asked her to bring them, do you like them?"

"They’re alright."

"Don’t you think the house is too quiet? Why don’t you call back the old servants, I miss Aunt Hurst and the others."

"That’s not your business."

"Isn’t this exactly what Mrs. Cheney should be managing?"

Sylvan Cheney gave her a cold glare: "Who gave you that title? Huh?"

"Then who do you plan to give this title to?" Jasmine Yale walked over with a piece of cake and sat beside him.

She puffed her cheeks, feeling indignant, her large watery eyes looking at him, waiting for his answer.

Wasn’t planning to give it to her?

"Jasmine Yale, are you annoying? Huh?"

"Complaining about me being annoying the moment I come home, how are we supposed to live together in the future?"

Sylvan Cheney simply had a headache and rubbed his forehead: "Who said anything about living together? I don’t plan on marrying a nuisance."

"You think I have a good temper and won’t get angry? You call me a nuisance? You actually called me a nuisance..." Jasmine Yale felt very aggrieved.
