Chapter 1336: Chapter 1336: This is... Sylvan Cheney’s car

She wanted to kiss him, to have him, to long for him.

In a daze, Jasmine Yale was startled by her own thought.

She actually had such a thought.

That thought, which she had once had during her adolescent years, would make her blush and her ears turn red just by thinking about it.

Now, her face was also flushed.

The effects of the drug were kicking in, and she had such thoughts.

She wanted to suppress the thought, but it was no use; her mind was filled with nothing but those thoughts.

Not far ahead was a hotel, and she needed to get there immediately—who knows what might happen if she lingered on the street any longer.

Her feet felt like they were stepping on cotton, making it difficult to walk.

"Sylvan..."

She softly called his name, gaze hazy, hands incessantly tugging at her sweater’s neckline.

So uncomfortable; very uncomfortable.

Her neck was almost scratched with several red marks.

"Sylvan..."

She leaned against the wall and moved forward.

At that moment, a black Rolls-Royce suddenly stopped beside her, pinning her against the wall.

The car was luxurious and reserved, noble and cold.

Jasmine Yale was frightened; she lifted her blurry eyes.

It would have been better not to look, because the sight truly frightened her.

This was... Sylvan’s car.

His car.

She had been in it countless times and could not possibly mistake it.

She leaned back against the wall, thinking she was hallucinating.

But, the next second, the driver-side door opened, and a pair of black leather shoes stepped out.

It was none other than Sylvan Cheney.

Jasmine Yale was so scared that she awoke from her drunkenness; she anxiously braced herself against the wall, trapped with no way out, shaking her head vigorously.

Impossible, how could it be him; he was clearly at the hotel.

She was hallucinating; it couldn’t be him.

Sylvan hadn’t put on a coat and was still wearing that sweater. He got out of the car and strode toward her with his long legs.

Before he even reached her, Jasmine Yale could already feel his chilling coldness and his soul-piercing gaze.

His eyes, sharp as a hawk’s, were staring intently into hers.

Jasmine Yale was afraid.

She desperately wanted to run!

But she couldn’t muster any strength in her body and couldn’t move her feet.

As Sylvan took step after step toward her, her heart sped up incrementally, almost leaping out of her throat.

Whether it was the effects of the drug or fear, she trembled incessantly.

She dared not meet his gaze.

But Sylvan’s piercing eyes didn’t allow her the slightest chance to avoid them!

"Mr. Cheney..." she called out to him, trembling, her voice so soft only she could hear it.

A few steps later, Sylvan finally stood still before her, his sharp gaze not diminishing one bit.

He didn’t speak; he just stood there in front of her.

The street light cast his shadow long and lean.

"Mr., Mr. Cheney..." she called him, sounding guilty.

Her eyes burned as she looked at him; beneath them swirled shimmering waves.

He had driven here, and he seemed unaffected by anything... Had the drug worn off?

Then he and Joan Harry...

Jasmine Yale’s long eyelashes fluttered slightly, and a large teardrop rolled around in her eye socket.

She was afraid of the silent Sylvan; it was always like this.

If he didn’t speak, she felt even more guilty.

She bit her lip, turned around, and ran with all her might, sprinting forward!

However, with just a stretch of his hand, Sylvan grabbed her. He pulled her forcefully! He grabbed her powerfully!

Jasmine Yale was like a child caught in the act of wrongdoing, unable to move.

He wasn’t rough in his movements, but as her back knocked against the wall, she still hit it hard.

"Mr. Cheney..." she said, head lowered, sounding pitifully, calling out to him.
