Chapter 1330: Chapter 1330: Aren’t you afraid that I will poison you?
He kissed her deeply, pinning her down to prevent her from moving.
Jasmine Yale reached out her hand, scratching his neck with her nails, and then bit his lip.
"Hisss—"
Sylvan Cheney winced in pain, his eyebrows knitting together, finally letting her go.
The orange light shone on his face, where a red streak now marked his neck.
Sylvan caught her hand, then slapped her backside, "So wild."
Only she would dare to scratch him, dare to slap him.
Jasmine grabbed the wine glass from the table and took another sip.
After one time, a second became much simpler.
Repeating the same motion, she gave him several sips of wine.
Sylvan didn’t say anything, letting her feed him, his eyes narrowing slightly, depth inscrutable in his gaze.
But, her soft lips touching his was, each time, an immense torment for him.
Sylvan’s brows were furrowed, his handsome face particularly captivating.
Jasmine stared at him for a long time, just like that, feeding him an entire glass of red wine.
In the past, she never would have done this.
After finishing the glass, she seemed to let out a sigh of relief, her luminous eyes looking at him.
He didn’t speak, nor did she.
After a while, she spoke indifferently, "Aren’t you afraid I might poison you?"
"If you’re feeding me like this, even if it were poison, I’d take it like nectar," Sylvan ran his fingers through her soft hair.
Her hair had grown longer, and he was accustomed to gently stroking it, sometimes twining her strands around his fingers.
Her hair was in good condition, jet-black and soft, glistening with hints of silver under the light.
Jasmine’s chest fluttered.
Her hands were still hanging around his neck, forgotten.
"Will you feed other men like this in the future?" Sylvan asked lightly.
The corners of Jasmine’s lips twisted bitterly, he still remembered to ask that.
She shook her head.
Sylvan laughed, his fingers tilting up her chin, "You shake your head now, but you’ll forget later. You’ve always been forgetful. But I can’t control what you do in the future."
Having taken care of her for more than a decade, the days without her by his side were indeed different.
The separation of these last two years was just an early adaptation; ahead were longer farewells.
"Yes, you can’t control it, I’m going to fly far away," Jasmine spoke softly to him.
She knew the effects of the drug wouldn’t be that fast.
He wouldn’t leave right away.
"Jasmine Yale, do you like your life now? In Cakago?"
"I do, I really do," Jasmine laughed heartily, "The life I aspire to is just like this. How could I not like it?"
But as she laughed, she couldn’t continue.
A bewildered light filled her eyes, the smile at the corner of her mouth unbearable in its bitterness.
The life she pursued was indeed like this, so why, after more than a year in Cakago, was her heart not as at ease as she’d imagined?
It felt like something was missing.
"As long as you like it," Sylvan patted her head, "Still working part-time at the bakery?"
"Mm, I’ll be interning next year."
"Work hard, find something you love."
"I don’t want to work, I want to open my own store," Jasmine suddenly leaned into his embrace, playfully whining, "I want to open a flower shop, a coffee shop, a shoe store, a bookstore... so many, which do you think is best?"
"With your head, can you do business?" Sylvan tapped her head lightly.
"I’m number one in every class at university, I’m very smart."
