Chapter 1273: Chapter 1273: Never Enough Embracing
The manor had a hot spring, elegantly set and very comfortable.
Jasmine Yale and Chale Cheney soaked in the hot spring together, and throughout, her gaze stayed on the little guy.
"Jasy, is baby especially handsome today..."
"Why do you say that?"
"Because you’ve been looking at me all the time." Chale Cheney covered his face, shy.
"Yep, Little Chale is the most handsome."
"Then who is handsomer, me or Elder Cheney..." Chale Cheney asked.
Jasmine Yale laughed. "You and your dad are not the same, you’re still little."
"But we can still compare, Jasy, who is handsomer?"
In terms of possessiveness, Chale Cheney was quite a match for his domineering dad.
"You’re handsome."
"Is that the truth?"
"The truth." Jasmine Yale held back her laughter.
Chale Cheney was delighted, slapping the water with his small hands. "Elder Cheney is not as handsome as baby."
"Chale." Jasmine Yale called his name tenderly, "Do you miss mom?"
Chale Cheney stopped his movements, his big eyes sparkling, but soon the light faded. He wanted to shake his head and yet he wanted to nod.
A five-year-old child, unsure of what to say.
If he said he missed her, would Jasy be unhappy?
"Miss her?" Jasmine Yale asked again.
Chale Cheney nodded honestly. "A little, but when Jasy is here, I don’t."
"She must miss you a lot." Jasmine Yale smiled, lifting the corners of her lips.
Missing, longing day and night.
Tossing and turning with the thought.
Dawn and dusk, the longing lingers.
Chale Cheney was after all just a child; he didn’t understand the words of Jasmine Yale.
But suddenly he didn’t want his birth mother anymore; he wanted Jasy, was that okay?
But reason told him, this seemed not quite right.
Chale Cheney disliked complicated matters, so he shook his little head, deciding not to think about it.
Jasmine Yale pulled Chale Cheney into her embrace and kissed his forehead.
She always felt like she couldn’t hug him enough.
Jasmine Yale’s damp hair fell over her shoulders, her eyes full of a hazy glow like the mist above the hot spring pool.
"Little Chale, Jasy will come to Lonton to be with you, okay?"
"But Jasy, don’t you have to attend classes?"
"Jasy will miss you."
"That’s not okay either, Little Chale also misses Jasy, but Little Chale is still seriously learning from his master. So, even if Jasy misses Little Chale, you have to study hard."
Although Chale Cheney was young, he was quite reasonable.
Not like his overbearing and tyrannical dad.
Jasmine Yale laughed and rubbed his little head. "Okay, I’ll listen to you."
"Mm, Jasy is obedient."
Suddenly, Jasmine Yale’s heart was struck by a jolt as if an electric current had passed through.
There was someone else who loved to say those four words—"Jasy is obedient"...
That person’s face, their eyes, appeared before her as if she could see him through the mist.
"Jasy, baby is really happy being with you..." Chale Cheney seized the moment to express his feelings to Jasmine Yale.
Therefore, if and when his mom came back one day, he might go with Jasy.
He used to beg Elder Cheney for his mom, but ever since he met Jasy, he no longer wanted her.
Just having Jasy was enough.
"Jasy is happy with you too, baby, don’t ever leave Jasy," Jasmine Yale suddenly held the little guy tight in her embrace, her eyes blurred with tears.
Don’t leave her again; that agonizing feeling was truly unbearable.
She didn’t want to go through it a second time.
Jasmine Yale’s voice was a bit choked, making Chale Cheney’s own heart tremble.
"Jasy, are you in a bad mood today?"
"No, Jasy is in a very good mood today."
