Chapter 1182: Chapter 1182: Not Leaving Now, Are You?

Jasmine Yale stopped talking and continued to play with her head lowered.

She knew that Sylvan Cheney never played games, but she didn’t expect him to watch for a long time at her side.

She finished one round and started another, over and over, staying silent.

Yet, Sylvan was very patient, even if she didn’t utter a word.

After watching a few rounds, Sylvan took her hand and joined her in the game.

"Don’t move; you don’t know how to play; you’ll lose," Jasmine said angrily.

"I won’t." He had watched a few rounds and felt there was no difficulty, his gaze calm and steady.

At that moment, the bedroom was exceptionally quiet, the only sound being that of the game.

Jasmine’s hands were small, perfectly held by his, unable to move.

It became completely his lead.

They played a round and didn’t lose.

Sometimes Jasmine felt that the world was so unfair, some people just could do anything.

In front of his intelligence, she seemed so foolish, creating a stark contrast.

At least when she had started playing, she was really bad, unlike him who learned quickly and could win.

Jasmine was even more frustrated.

She closed the game: "I’m not playing anymore; you owe me a plane ticket."

"You’re not leaving, are you?" He wrapped his arms around her waist, unwilling to let go, his eyes gleaming, like peach blossoms over spring water, rippling.

Jasmine looked up in astonishment at his handsome face: "Not leaving? Then when do you say we’ll leave?"

Suddenly, Sylvan didn’t know how to answer her.

Jasmine moved her arm, trying to pry his fingers open: "If you’re unwilling to buy me a plane ticket then forget it; I’ll buy another one myself."

But his strength was greater, and she couldn’t pry open his fingers.

He held down her shoulders: "I’ll buy it for you, and I’ll take you to the airport. Until then, stay at the Cheney Residence."

"You say whatever; I’m not in the mood to fight."

On the large bed, Sylvan held her, letting her lean against him, with no further movement, just holding her like that.

The sun shining outside the floor-to-ceiling window illuminated the ground and the bedside.

The bed was tidy, the bedroom clean, everything was quiet, as if a still ink painting.

Jasmine’s gaze rested on the window, her eyes shimmering vaguely: "The sun outside is so nice, but I can’t go out; it’s so unfair."

Her petite body was held by him; her eyes grew distant.

She didn’t want to bring up the Harry Family because they had...nothing to do with her.

"I’ll let you go back to Cakago."

"I’ve packed my things; let me go now. Buying a plane ticket is no big deal for you."

"There are no flights today."

"How do you know there aren’t any?"

"I know how many flights there are from Landon to Cakago."

Jasmine was astonished; she wasn’t too sure, but she didn’t expect Sylvan to be so clear about it.

Of course, he was always smarter than she was, with a better memory too.

"Then tomorrow, I’ll leave tomorrow."

"Okay." He agreed while holding her tighter.

He didn’t know the difference between today and tomorrow, probably... just an extra 24 hours.

"Can I go downstairs? The plum blossoms in the yard have bloomed; may I go see them?" Jasmine sought his permission.

She withdrew her gaze and looked up at him, her doe-like eyes watery as if dew had settled, sparkling.

Sylvan’s throat moved, his gaze falling on her soft red lips, fierce as the blazing sun.

Ultimately, he still suppressed himself and nodded: "I’ll take you downstairs for a walk."

Jasmine put on her coat and followed by his side.
