Chapter 1178: Chapter 1178: The Mistress He Had an Affair With

Jasmine Yale sat back down and silently ate her cake with a fork.

Despite feeling quite full, she continued to eat, even though it didn’t taste like much.

She hadn’t become so tactless as to go downstairs and disturb someone else’s wedding. It was for his betterment as well as her own.

After this trip back to Cakago, she would never return, and then she wouldn’t have to deal with these matters.

If she missed her flight, would she just make Sylvan Cheney compensate her for it?

She laughed to herself, not opposed to the idea.

Buying a plane ticket hadn’t been easy.

Jasmine was quickly finishing the small piece of cheesecake.

The creaminess was too much; she couldn’t eat any more. Without a word, she sat on the sofa and quietly watched TV.

In his bedroom, she couldn’t hear any noise from downstairs; the soundproofing was excellent.

Being locked in his bedroom, Jasmine suddenly felt a sense of desolation.

What did she resemble? A mistress sneaking around? Hiding to avoid being caught?

Thinking this, Jasmine laughed. Yes, that was about right.

This man really had no restraint; even with a girlfriend, he still held her in his sleep these past two nights.

She was confused, but was he confused as well?

Jasmine idly flipped through channels with the remote. She wasn’t accustomed to watching TV in the morning, and the programs at this time were truly uninteresting; she simply turned off the TV.

After taking off her coat, Jasmine lay back in bed and silently played with her phone.

She sent Ann Nolan a WeChat message: "Ann, have you started work?"

Ann, who was putting on her high heels, heard the message tone and hopped over to check her phone.

Seeing it was from Jasmine, she quickly replied, "I’m about to walk over now."

"What did you have for breakfast? I hope you ate well."

"Jasmine, isn’t it nighttime over there? I’m about to go out and buy breakfast. Have you had dinner? What are you doing?"

"I’ve had dinner. I’m messaging you. Go ahead with your day; I’m going out for a walk."

"Are you not doing your part-time job today?"

"No, the shop owner is out today."

"Okay, I’m off to work then."

"Mm."

Ann put her phone in her red shoulder bag and stepped out in her high heels.

She and Jasmine often kept in touch; Ann knew that Jasmine had a tough schedule with classes and part-time work.

Ann’s new apartment was conveniently close to her company, with easy access to breakfast right downstairs. She had been living there for months, now accustomed to it, and Zaiden Santos rarely came to bother her.

She was busy, and so was Zaiden.

Ann stepped out of the elevator and walked downstairs in her high heels.

Suddenly, a familiar Ferrari stopped right in front of her!

This car, once an acquaintance, had not been seen for quite a while.

The car stopped, the man in the back seat opened the door, "Get in, let’s go to the company together."

Ann brushed a stray lock of hair behind her ear and smiled, "CEO Santos, what brings you here?"

Zachary Santos smirked, "Today is my first day going to Golden Growth Group. I need you, my secretary, with me."

Ann knew he had acquired Golden Growth a while ago but hadn’t made an appearance until now. As CEO Waverly’s secretary, she naturally became Zachary Santos’s secretary as well after the acquisition.

However, since Zachary Santos hadn’t come around, her role as the CEO’s secretary had been largely ceremonial.

Today was an unexpected change.

Ann nodded and got into the car.

Sitting next to him, Zachary Santos casually handed her a breakfast he had bought in advance.

"Take this."

Ann was even more surprised, "Thank you, CEO Santos. Have you had breakfast?"

"Why so formal all of a sudden? I’ve eaten."
