Chapter 957: Chapter 585: Undead Divine Spark_3
Not to mention, her current mode of existence was tightly bound to Gaven.
Put simply, even Virginia’s gnolls in the Dragon Oak Territory might one day betray Gaven, the True Wraiths of Weizemay Manor would never be able to do so, just as the Heroic Spirits of a God Kingdom cannot betray their god.
He was the foundation of their continued existence; if he were to be no more, they would not escape disaster.
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that, especially after the birth of the Undead Divine Spark, Weizemay Manor had already taken on the embryonic form of a God Kingdom.
That is exactly why Gaven dared to let them know about the existence of the Undead Divine Spark—it would greatly motivate their fervor to strive.
Although it was not certain that they would get their hands on this Undead Divine Spark, even becoming a demigod and receiving divine rewards would allow them to transform into divine beings, obtaining a longer life span and stronger strength.
"Thank Lord for your trust; I definitely will not betray this trust," Daphne expressed her gratitude timely.
In fact, when she learned more about the Undying Goddess of Vengeance from Dilila, she couldn’t help feeling a tinge of regret.
Because, referring to the information from Dilila, her decision to defect was an utterly reckless and foolish choice.
A starving camel is still larger than a horse, the Undying Goddess of Vengeance was, after all, once a conspirator in the murder of the Demon Lord, the Undead Monarch Okas, and had seized his demon territory, the Tower of Demise, once reaching a state of Minor Divine Power.
Even though the Undead Monarch, under the guise of the Undying Prince, was resurrected and seized everything from the Undying Goddess of Vengeance, shattered her Godhood and reduced her to demigod status, the power she left in the world was still far above any mortal Blasphemer.
Looking back now, one can only say that ignorance led her to make a decision against the Undying Goddess of Vengeance.
Fortunately, Gaven displayed sufficient potential for development, making her decision not only not foolish but supremely shrewd and wise.
The criteria for judging many things were from the perspective of the victors, not the losers.
Gaven, however, was unaware of all the meticulous thoughts swirling through Daphne’s mind and continued to inquire, "Servants of the Blood Lord? Does his Demon Legion have a way to enter the Material Plane?"
He was well-informed about their Divine War and even had his own assessment of the strength of the Undying Goddess of Vengeance, Wensori.
The true force against this Blasphemer was not all the followers of the Undying Goddess of Vengeance, but a very small part of them; the main force was dealing with a much stronger enemy of Wensori, among whom the Undead Monarch Okas was the most important.
The Bottomless Abyss boasted an infinite number of layers, with new layers being born every day and old ones perishing, like the ultimate chaos it represented, a place devoid of reason.
Each layer had one or several Lords of the Abyss, innumerable as they were, yet most would go throughout their lives unknown to the people of the Material Plane, let alone the Multiverse.
Those who spread their fame to the Material Plane were without exception powerful beings; if they were enduring, then they were among the forefront of power amongst the multitude of Lords of the Abyss.
Okas was one such entity who could rank within the top ten, with followers in many of the Material Planes and many titles: the Undead Monarch, Blood Lord, Lord of Carnage, Ghoul Master, and so forth.
Each name represented a significant event.
For instance, the Undead Monarch title resulted because he was reputed to be the first creator of Undead Creatures and also the maker of the Primordial Death Knights, said to have tempted twelve Seraphs to embrace Dark Power, transforming them into powerful Primordial Death Knights.
It’s important to note that Seraphs are among the most elite combatants of the celestial realm, very limited in number; how many there were at their Peak State is unknown, but currently, it’s said that twenty-four Seraphs serve All Gods.
Okas’s conversion of twelve Seraphs at once was a matter of significant achievement, and the gains and losses from this event were enormous.
Yet, few remember this splendid feat because the glory was stolen by the Bottomless Abyss Lord, the Double-Headed Baboon, Di Gaomorgan, who lured the mightiest Primordial Death Knight to his side along with the method of Death Knight transformation. Due to the significant influence of the Bottomless Abyss Lord over the Material Plane and his successful enticement and conversion of countless Death Knights to form his own Death Knight Legion, many believe that he is the origin of the Death Knights, a fact that enraged Okas, leading to continuous skirmishes and wars with Di Gaomorgan.
The Undying Goddess of Vengeance coveted Okas’s strength in Undeath, aiming to steal his power to enhance her own Undead Divine Office; the method Dilila used to transform the Huang Hun Lord into a Death Knight was acquired from the Undead Monarch at that time.
However, the disparity in strength between them was vast, and the Undying Goddess of Vengeance’s success was due to her characteristic of the Dwarves Elf Pantheon—skilled in Conspiracy and intrigue—when she instigated the conflict between the Tyrant God Bane and Okas.
At the time, Bane, at his Peak State, stormed directly into the 113th layer of the Bottomless Abyss, the Belly of Death where Okas resided, dragged him out and gave him a severe beating, nearly destroying him completely.
What followed goes without saying; after the God of Tyranny withdrew contentedly, the Undying Goddess of Vengeance made her brilliant entrance, slaying the Undead Monarch who had just escaped death and acquired all his legacy.
