Chapter 953: Chapter 584 The Potential Value of Blood Horn_2

If one must find a similarity, it somewhat resembles the divine power of All Gods fused with Divine Nature—Undead Divine Power.

If it indeed were divine power, accomplishing this feat wouldn’t be difficult.

But the question is, how could a mortal grasp both Undead Divinity and Undead Divine Power?

Old puzzles were solved, only to extend into more new puzzles.

Blood Horn, vast as it was, lacked a powerful Necromancer like Arms, so neither the Undead nor the Shadow Power could put up any real resistance.

On Gaven’s side, there were unique beings like the Six-Armed Snake Demon, Daphne, and Estelle, putting the two sides on completely different levels. Their occupation of Blood Horn was visibly swift—the ash-grey devoured the black.

And as they progressed, they became faster, because they faced the same situation as they had in Efanso City Hall: the victor took everything.

The Undead being slain were all transformed into part of the Shadow Power, and the Shadow Power of Weizemay Manor entered a new round of explosive growth.

Together, killing Corpse Spider Elves and converting Blood Horn could bring Gaven an additional two thousand five hundred points of Shadow Power.

However, as the conversion progressed, Gaven discovered that the Shadow Power at his disposal was decreasing, not increasing.

These Ghost territories required the use of Weizemay Manor’s carrying capacity.

Not only Blood Horn, but also Efanso City Hall operated the same way. The latter, being smaller, required only a hundred points or so, and the Souls harvested from there far exceeded the need, so the loss wasn’t keenly felt.

But Blood Horn was too expansive, and Dilila and her companions hadn’t intended a thorough conversion, so it was incomplete. For Gaven to fully occupy it, he naturally had to invest a hefty amount of Shadow Power.

Even pouring all the Shadow Power he possessed into it would not be enough to completely convert Blood Horn, let alone drag it to the Three Rivers Region.

Upon discovering this, Gaven immediately called Estelle and the others back, halting the process, and said to Valon, the Grand Inquisitor, with a wry smile, "I just overestimated my strength. Dragging Blood Horn back to the Three Rivers Region is going to be more challenging than I thought. I need to gather more Shadow Power. But rest assured, gentlemen, this place is now connected to my manor, and the True Shadow Brigade will be stationed here. We don’t want to bother the creatures of the Shadow Plane. They should consider themselves lucky, as they lack the power to invade this place."

More accurately, Gaven would have welcomed an invasion by creatures from the Shadow Plane; it would be a prime opportunity to harvest Souls and enhance his Shadow Power.

Valon, the Grand Inquisitor, couldn’t help but laugh, "If you moved Blood Horn back to the Three Rivers Region in the blink of an eye, I believe many would go insane. Since your True Shadow Brigade will be stationed here, we can rest easy."

"It does seem so," Gaven couldn’t help but laugh too. Moving mountains was no small feat, especially an entire mountain; that was beyond mortal power, touching upon the mighty strength of the gods.

This matter, not only could it not be achieved now, but even if it could be, it shouldn’t be done immediately. It needed to be carefully planned to maximize benefits—not just material benefits, but also spiritual and religious ones.

"Although this place poses no threat, the Death Knight can’t be ignored. I will not return to the manor with you all. I will stay and track down the Death Knight to prevent him from causing greater disasters," Darnell volunteered.

"The Conqueror Army will pass through the Goblin Margins and is bound to have a major battle with evil forces there. You will be much more useful in that fight, Darnell. I will take over the task of tracking the Death Knight!" August suggested an alternative.

"But..." Darnell opened his mouth as if he was about to say that it was a Legendary Death Knight, who you might have a hard time defeating, but decided not to, as it would hurt the old Paladin’s pride.

August guessed what Darnell wanted to say and candidly said with a laugh, "Tracking doesn’t mean engaging him in combat. I might not be able to destroy a Death Knight, but he would also find it difficult to capture me. If it really comes down to it, I’ll run here. I’m sure you wouldn’t stand by and watch me die."

The old Paladin remained as humorously broad-minded as ever.

Gaven nodded with a smile, "Should you require it, sir, we will surely respond. But I must inform you in advance that their reach will be confined to the shadow cast by Blood Horn, at most not beyond twice the mass of the mountain. To leverage their strength, you must reach it on your own."

"Understood," August replied.

Valon, the Grand Inquisitor, decisively concluded, "This arrangement is indeed more sensible. Let’s settle on this."

"Alright," Darnell accepted, as the task of safeguarding the safety of tens of thousands of immigrants was equally important.

The Monastery of the Hammer of Justice and the Sword Monastery provided reinforcements to the Conqueror Army, not only because of faith and friendly relations with Gaven but also to advance their own interests, to spread the faith of their gods, to recruit new members into the monasteries.

These interests didn’t require much discussion. By accepting their help, Gaven implicitly consented to this, but how much they could gain depended on their own efforts. In this matter, Gaven was going to be like most other Kings and Lords, unbiased— at least toward beliefs that weren’t affiliated with evil deities.
