Chapter 935: Chapter 578 Five-Willow Overstate Full Form_2

Not only were the Koutao Fishmen onshore affected, but even those in Yewen Pond who hadn’t managed to escape far were impacted, each crawling ashore on their own accord and walking toward the Corpse Spider Elf.

Initially, only about half of the Koutao Fishmen ashore were affected, with many not having time to come ashore.

The Corpse Spider Elf’s control ability clearly had a range of influence, with Koutao Fishmen closer to it being more severely affected. Many, particularly those in the water or beyond the range of the clicking sound, were not controlled; they fled like a spooked herd of animals away from the Corpse Spider Elf.

The Koutao Fishmen, completely dominated by fear, lost all sense of direction. They did not uniformly flee toward their homeland, the Black Prison, but scattered in all directions. Some directly swarmed into the upstream of the Ashaba River, others followed the current downwards, and yet others went upstream along two other rivers.

Hou!

Several Hobgoblin Wolf Cavalry, who were closer to the Corpse Spider Elf, were also affected. Unlike the dazed Koutao Fishmen standing still awaiting their doom, both the Hobgoblins and their mounts fell into a madness similar to a Barbarian’s Berserk, foolishly charging at the Corpse Spider Elf without regard to the terrifying difference in their size.

The outcome was predictable: every single one of them was crushed underfoot by the Corpse Spider Elf, both man and wolf reduced to mere nutrients for its body.

Speaking of which, from the moment the Corpse Spider Elf emerged through the Shadow Walk Spell from the Shadow Plane to when it started its mass slaughter and devouring of numerous corpses, merely a few seconds had passed.

Gaven reacted loudly on this side, shouting, "Five-Willow Union."

The five dark willow Treants following him instantly linked head to foot, forming one larger composite entity, with Gaven naturally comprising its head.

When he received the warning from Serlemon, the first thing Gaven thought of was the Five-Willow and this particular Special Ability.

If the size disparity between the two sides was just one to two times, the battle could still be manageable. However, exceeding three or more times presented virtually no way to engage normally.

If the opponent was a biological entity, made of flesh and blood, some unique methods might be conceivable.

But as an Undead, especially pieced together from other Undead, many unique methods were not applicable, such as internal disruption or bleeding tactics.

Even high-tier Attack Spells had a relatively limited effect on it; a Fireball landing on the Corpse Spider Elf was unlikely to inflict substantial damage. Blasting away a layer of corpses, another layer was probably right underneath, and just a few devoured corpses could replenish its strength quickly.

Back then, Gaven and his group had indeed faced entities with even more terrifying size, like the Divine Root, which, like the Dragon Oak Mother Tree, was an entity that transcended size. The Divine Root, however, wasn’t strictly a biological creature but was more like a horrifying Construction temporarily animated by Corruption Power.

The Corpse Spider Elf was different; though pieced together, it was considered an independent entity, not only possessing its own Life Dice but also its own Special Abilities.

Life Force: 500 (Life Dice 38D12 + 266)

Attributes: Strength 42, Agility 8, Constitution —, Intelligence 25, Perception 22, Charisma 24

Reading the surface data of the Corpse Spider Elf was essentially effortless.

Although it was an independent entity, it wasn’t quite the same as a Six-armed Snake Demon; this wasn’t just a flaw of its terrifying size but also its pieced-together nature, which prevented it from meticulously tending to every detail.

The life dice of the Corpse Spider Elf were stunningly high, breaking through the Legendary limit and stepping into the Divine Stage, an existence of this level inevitably possessing Divine Nature, becoming a Divine entity.

Divine entities and Quasi-gods were not the same concept. Just like Weizemay Manor possessing Undead Divinity without turning into a God Kingdom, it allowed them to have some unconventional properties, such as the Shadow Power of Weizemay Manor, which was fundamentally based on Undead Divinity. Without Undead Divinity, it would merely act as dispersed Negative Energy, never enabling its Manor Attributes.

And Divine Nature in divine entities primarily served to sustain their existence. Like the Corpse Spider Elf, if it lacked Divine Nature in its body, it wouldn’t manage to absorb Koutao Fishmen corpses to enhance itself uncontrollably; it would have disintegrated by itself.

This indicated that the Life Dice and Body Attributes of the Corpse Spider Elf were not static but expanded continuously as the number of absorbed corpses increased. When it first emerged from the Shadow Plane, it had only 32 Life Dice and Strength Points below 40.

While specific Special Abilities were not visible, a series of traits it displayed enabled several aspects to be conjectured.

Firstly, the being possessed the ability to evolve by devouring corpses, and it was far from reaching its potential in this capability.

Secondly, it held a Profane Vigor-like Special Ability similar to that of Bone Claw, which substantially enhanced its Life Force.

Thirdly, purely in terms of Strength, it held three major Special Abilities: Transcendent, Legendary, and Divine Rewards, which activated respectively as its attribute values broke through 20, 30, and 40 points; just the Legendary Reward alone was terrifyingly powerful, not to mention the Divine Reward that could glimpse into the realm of All Gods.
