Chapter 855: Chapter 551 Overbearing_3
In several of the rooms, there were not only slave traders lying around but also some slaves who had been reduced to mere playthings.
Gaven couldn’t help but sigh lightly, recognizing that where there was war, there were inevitably casualties, and all he could do was ensure that such casualties were kept to a minimum.
"Let us go," tell your Leader to let us go or we’ll destroy the Pirate’s Turbine. This thing is worth a fortune; don’t you care?"
"You are not allowed to come close, no one is allowed to come close; you won’t be able to destroy the door faster than we can destroy the turbine."
"Send someone out to talk; I’ll count to fifty, and if there’s no response, then blame us for both losing out."
The voice coming out from the sealed chamber was somewhat hysterical. The demands it made lacked any rational consideration, and it didn’t take into account that even if the other party agreed to trade, they would still have no way to leave.
It was no wonder General Kopofiel had requested his intervention; these types of people were the most terrifying. It wasn’t their combat ability that was frightening but the destruction they could cause. Once desperate, they would perform acts detrimental to others and themselves.
Without further hesitation, Gaven draped the Shadow Cloak over himself, entering an invisible state, then activated Fairy Step and teleported directly into the sealed room.
He had already synchronized with the Barrier Key he had obtained from the Evil Beast Spirit, rendering ineffective any bans on flying, teleportation, or stealth in this area.
Once inside the sealed room, Gaven did not pause for a moment, heading straight for the slave trader closest to the Pirate’s Turbine.
There were four slave traders putting up a fight here; all of them had considerable strength, each possessing at least ten Professional Levels, but they were purely warriors and completely failed to detect Gaven’s invisibility.
By the time the first attacked slave trader realized something was wrong, his head was already flying through the air.
Gaven didn’t even glance at him; with another Fairy Step, he moved behind another slave trader and delivered a horizontal slash, cutting him in half. Simultaneously, the roar of the Death Roar sounded, directly smashing a third slave trader’s head into a pulp.
As for the fourth slave trader, he collapsed onto the ground, unable to even lift his sword as overwhelming fear seized him.
Three attacks had ended the lives of three colleagues of similar strength. Throughout it all, the enemy only became briefly visible as a vague silhouette when launching an attack, a foe they simply could not combat.
Gaven, not bothering with words, directly granted this slave trader his death, allowing him to atone for his sins.
Previously, he had faced powerful enemies and hadn’t felt much.
But now, dealing with these ordinary slave traders, Gaven realized just how significant his advantages were; picking out one or two abilities was enough to toy with them effortlessly.
And the Shadow Cloak was genuinely useful; no wonder its market price had soared to forty thousand Gold Coins and was still in high demand.
Just wearing the cloak could turn even an ordinary person into a dangerous assassin or skilled thief, not to mention in the hands of Combat Profession Practitioners.
He should continue to invest more production efforts into this area in the future, not just for selling but mainly to equip some special forces personnel. If each Scouting Cavalry had one, both their scouting ability and safety would significantly increase.
"That was quick, wasn’t?"
"Of course, did you see who we are dealing with? Lord is handling these small fries effortlessly!"
"Lord is mighty!"
When Gaven pulled off his hood and became visible again, stepping out from the sealed room, the Tesser Sailors looked at him with barely concealed reverence.
For them, a troublesome problem was as simple as drinking cool water for this man known as the Conqueror.
Compared to the countless wonders and splendors they had witnessed along the way, this seemed entirely natural.
Gaven smiled and saluted them, then with a flicker shadow fade, used two Fairy Steps and appeared directly on the deck.
He sensed someone waiting for him on the deck; it was Commander Veranika, who had been attacking the other two Three-Masted Warships, undoubtedly there to report the results as her battle had likely ended as well.
Before Gaven could ask, Veranika began with a smile, "General Kopofiel was right; the two ships we attacked were auxiliary vessels. The soldiers stationed there had limited capabilities and were powerless against our strong assault.
We had only a dozen minor injuries, and no deaths.
We captured over a hundred and eighty slave traders and rescued over a hundred slaves.
Both armed sailing ships are now completely under our sailors’ control, ready to sail at any moment, and await your further orders, Lord."
"Leave ten Hobgoblin Giants on each ship; all three Three-Masted Ships are to be commanded by General Kopofiel, following Sarod to other cities, clearing out and emptying the Petrified Lizards’ Slave Traders Group’s secret lairs and depots before the remnants of their forces hear the news."
Gaven instructed without hesitation, "The remaining men will come with me to escort all the captured slave traders ashore, adhering to the original plan to capture Ilip before dawn."
"At your command," everyone responded in unison.
Only Veranika cast an extra glance at the recently surrendered Half-Blue Dragon Hobgoblin, somewhat skeptical of his loyalty.
But Gaven wasn’t someone to be imprudent. Since he had entrusted him adequately, there must be good reasons or methods, so Veranika refrained from interrupting.
After handing over the captured slave traders to some regular subordinates, Gaven and Veranika, along with twenty or more Hobgoblin Giants, returned to the shore to join forces with Thomas and the remaining Hobgoblin Wolf Cavalry to attack Ilip, finding the task unexpectedly easy.
