Chapter 808: Chapter 536 Conqueror Gaven

These six female mages did not realize that Gaven was observing their attributes panel with his special ability. They merely felt his gaze as shockingly intrusive, almost as if he could strip off their clothes and see what was underneath. They became somewhat uneasy, no longer exhibiting the bold, flirtatious demeanor they had when they first met, because they knew they still bore the weight of a special mission. This was the price they paid for being nurtured by their clan’s resources from a young age. As for the man before them, he seemed to be a decent choice, certainly better than those pot-bellied, septuagenarian barons.

After retracting his gaze, Gaven asked, "How long will their training mission last?"

He needed to decide how much resources he should invest in their training based on how long he could use them. He did not want to invest in them only to have the Roinhein Clan pull them out just after he had done so. Although unlikely, it was still better to be clear about it.

"Three years," the Mage Anbala gave a timeframe that was neither long nor short, realistically, with no actual guarantee.

If Gaven were to later prove less capable than he appeared now, this time would certainly be shortened.

If he were powerful enough, it would definitely be extended indefinitely.

"Very well." Gaven nodded, then turned to Veranika and said, "Starting now, they are under the Chief of Staff’s command, serving as your advisers. We can discuss their specific tasks when we have time."

Veranika’s position was called Chief of Staff, but in reality, she had always been a solitary commander. Now, she gained her first batch of staff members.

"If there’s nothing else, I won’t impose any further, Sir. I will go and hurry along the matters of the warhorses," Mage Anbala, very perceptibly alert, stood up to take his leave. He knew that a queue of people was waiting to see Gaven, and being received first by him was already a great honor. He could not afford to linger.

"Veranika, please see the gentleman out."

"Of course, Sir."

After Veranika and Mage Anbala had both left,

Gaven then turned to the six female mages with a smile, "Ladies, don’t be so nervous. I am still the same person as before, not going to devour you just because the setting has changed. I just returned this morning from Anfield Village. I heard you were sent out for training, but I didn’t expect you to be assigned to me. Moving forward, I will indeed need your assistance in many matters, so I hope you will not hold back."

Upon hearing the mention of Anfield Village, the nervousness on the six female mages’ faces eased significantly.

Still serving as their pillar of strength, Oliela smiled and spoke, "Actually, three days ago, we did not know that we would be following and learning from you, Sir. Even a day ago, we were unaware of your distinguished status. What we have seen and heard in this past day has shattered our previous perceptions tremendously. We ask for your forgiveness for some inappropriate behaviors we might have exhibited at Anfield Village."

The predominant thought rolling through the female mages’ minds now was how unpredictable life could be.

They vividly remembered their first encounter—out of sheer boredom, the six sisters intercepted the young, handsome man on an extraordinary steed midair, hoping to pass the time.

Little had they expected, he quickly turned into a big fish, stirring up industries in Anfield Village within less than a month—industries that others wouldn’t manage in their lifetimes. Then, with a flick of his sleeve, leaving nothing but legends behind without taking any clouds.

They thought they wouldn’t cross paths much in this lifetime, but suddenly, the six sisters were packed off to join his grand army, where he transformed into their new leader, someone they had to revere and follow.

When they first heard this news, they simply couldn’t believe their ears, and they had to confirm multiple times with Teacher Anbala whether this Gaven was the same Gaven they knew, although deep down, they had already known the answer.

What they saw and heard in a day with the migrating army, shattered their previous understanding completely.

When did paving roads become so straightforward?

When did Treants and the Fae Race become so commonplace?

When did Hobgoblins even have Giants swearing fealty to a human and guarding them?

When did low to medium level spells become so commonplace, completely incorporated into daily life?

When did Humans, Gnolls, Treants, the Fae Race, and Hobgoblins—such a mix of races—coexist without any conflicts but instead work blissfully together?

All these, they witnessed within the migrating army, created by the young man before them, nearly five to six years their junior.

Gaven revealed a sly smile and said, "Ladies, did you really behave inappropriately previously? I don’t seem to remember. All I recall is how much you helped me. It was you who facilitated my horse trade in Anfield Village and introduced me to Teacher Krewen and Miss Goser. I hope our upcoming collaboration can be as pleasant as the last."

"Sir, you are as humorous as ever," a brief conversation with him already lightened Oliela and the sisters considerably. The only change in him was his title; his personality remained as they had known before. Being around such a person promised an exciting experience, at least ensuring access to many sights and events they had never encountered before.
