Chapter 769: Chapter 524 Dwarf Statue City_3

The gathering place of these Gnolls was the Twin Gates Square of the Dwarf Statue City.

The Dwarf Statue City had two entrances and exits, one to the south and one to the north, eight hundred meters apart. The reason for the twin gates layout was that they were situated on the two feet of the statue.

Between the two feet lay a huge plaza, and the faces of the two feet were both massive speech platforms.

Don’t assume they’re small just because I mentioned feet.

This Dwarf Statue was carved out of a mountain and stood at a terrifying height of twelve hundred meters. If you stood close to it and looked up, you couldn’t see the whole thing—just the feet alone were over a hundred meters long.

The Gnolls below, though they hailed from dozens of completely different tribes and the longest any had been there was only ten days, were orderly organized, sorted into queues according to their profession and abilities.

This was partly due to the efforts of the Cangya Legion led by Cangya, and partly due to the Gnolls’ inherent orderly nature in communal living.

Instead of forming a protective ring on the periphery, the Gnolls of the Cangya Legion had dispersed and integrated with the other Gnolls.

The Gnolls were mainly divided into two groups.

The ones standing at the very front were the local speciality—the Great Gnolls.

These giant Gnolls were as tough as Hobgoblins, usually towering over two meters and one, and at first glance, resembled Lizardfolk more than Gnolls, except that their faces were shorter and their scales were more bluish-grey than green.

The nearly three thousand Gnolls behind them were about the same as regular Gnolls, with scales also tending towards bluish-grey, and their height ranging from sixty to seventy centimeters to one meter twenty-three.

Aside from genetics, this variation was primarily due to the abundance of nutrients they received daily.

Generally speaking, most Gnolls from the Troll Mountains fared quite well, with an average height of over one meter since this was Monster Tribe territory and they were near the resource-rich Giant Plains.

Gnolls, one of the few natural miners among monsters, not only provided for themselves but also engaged in basic trade with other Monster Tribes using minerals, and with complex caves and traps for defense, they obviously led a more comfortable life.

"Do you know why we’ve all been called together?"

"I’m not sure, I just arrived too. You should ask those who followed the King of the Gnolls first. Do you guys know what the great King and Queen intend to do?"

"It’s not our place to fathom the Lord’s intentions. You just need to watch quietly. It will surely only be to your benefit and not to your detriment. You newcomers haven’t yet experienced the Lord’s omnipotent methods."

"Looking at this setup, it seems like it’s time for a Dragon Seeking Ritual Ceremony!"

"Since you know the name ’Dragon Seeking Ritual Ceremony,’ you must be an old-timer. It’s now called the Ascending Dragon Ritual. Does that mean you’ve participated in an early Dragon Seeking Ritual Ceremony?"

"Of course, I’m one of the first Gnolls who followed our Lord. I witnessed the rise of us Gnolls with my own eyes."

"Could you explain what this Ascending Dragon Ritual is? It sounds like it has something to do with Giant Dragons?"

"You’re new here, aren’t you, if you haven’t even heard of the Ascending Dragon Ritual?"

"Yes, I just arrived yesterday."

"No wonder then. Have you ever heard of Dragon Seeking Meditation? Or Dragon Seeking Ritual Ceremony? How about Dragonization?"

"Dragonization? Are you referring to those Commanders with Dragon Wings? Their abilities aren’t innate? They were unlocked following the King of the Gnolls?"

"You’re not too far off. Right, it’s not only Dragonization but also Dragon Vein Abilities that were discovered by our Lord... Shh, the Lord is coming."

As Gaven and Queen Shanoba, transformed into Flying Dragons, appeared, the chattering Gnolls below immediately fell silent. The next second, their silence turned into an excited howling.

To display their strength, they flew over the heads of the Gnolls at high speed.

Most Gnolls weren’t highly perceptive, but they were exceptionally sensitive to Magic Power, particularly that related to Giant Dragons. They could feel the vigorous strength emanating from their bodies.

What puzzled them slightly was that Gaven, who appeared to be the stronger King of the Gnolls, had a Giant Dragon’s aura that was less pure and intense than what emanated from Queen Shanoba.

But soon, they no longer cared about that, because Gaven’s subsequent speech was directly related to their personal interests.

Gaven, landing on the Dwarf foot’s platform, didn’t bother with idle chatter with the Gnolls but got straight to the point and shouted, "I am a fair person, reward the meritorious, punish the culpable, and reciprocate acts of kindness. Since you have offered up your most precious treasures to, I must give you a substantial gift in return.

I have something in my hand here, some of you may recognize it, others may not, I’ll assume you don’t and explain it to everyone.

This potion is called the Red Copper Dragon Blood Potion, it can help you dig out the potential within your bloodline and start the Ascending Dragon Ritual, as to which stage you can reach depends on yourselves.

After receiving the reward, do not drink it casually, later, City Lord Shanoba will lead you to perform the Ascending Dragon collectively. When I call your name, come forward, Aiwis, Kien, Andis..."

Gaven read out as many as fifty names in succession, four-fifths of which were Great Gnolls, with only a pitiful eleven regular Gnolls.

This wasn’t decided by Gaven, but rather by the Strength they possessed and the status they held within their own tribes previously.

Just like those Noble Giant Trolls, these Great Gnolls gained more than just double body size; their internal Attributes also improved to varying degrees.

Given their exceptional Strength and Intelligence compared to their peers, it was difficult for them not to occupy high positions.
