Chapter 561: Chapter 455 The Ultimate Shame_2

For they were the most adept race at torturing others.

To use oneself as the measure of all things is a common flaw among all intelligent beings.

A pursuit unfolded in the dense forest.

Gaven did not join the chase. Instead, he cast the Tower of Dominion Teleportation Spell immediately to return to the control room.

This was his main battlefield, where only he could maximize the search capabilities of the Tower of Dominion’s radar to lock onto more Dwarves Elves.

In this kind of forest hunt, the key was to pinpoint the prey.

Once locked on, the rest was much simpler.

The instigators of this war, the Sodalite Treants of the Silent Tribe, were thoroughly relegated to a minor role. For the moment, no one at Mesnoel had the time to deal with them.

And the ring of fire that trapped them, now devoid of the magic force to sustain it, was full of gaps and hardly able to contain them anymore.

The two leaders looked at each other, and Blue Crown asked, "What should we do now?"

"Isn’t that obvious? Chase them. Kill all of those forest destroyers," Green Crown declared forcefully, swinging a Giant Wooden Club, "In this respect, we have an absolute advantage."

"Good." Blue Crown nodded in agreement and shouted, "All out pursuit of the forest destroyers. Spare none."

The Sodalite Treants needed no encouragement; the mere mention of ’forest destroyers’ provoked their united wrath.

One by one, they swung their wooden shields and Giant Wooden Clubs, charging headlong into the trees, breaking into a sprint.

Their ability to move through the trees allowed them to take shortcuts in many places. Coupled with their skill to use trees for Perception, they could observe a wider area and were more likely to find the Dwarves Elves.

Although their Giant Wooden Clubs had limited lethality, their magic of Bend Wood Art combined with their ability to burst out from the trees unexpectedly caused considerable delay for the Dwarves Elves who were busy trying to escape.

And such delays often proved fatal.

The surrounding soldiers hunting Mesnoel would gather upon hearing the noise.

With a pincer attack, a large number of Dwarves Elves lost their lives in the dense forest.

Gaven and his allies were now unrestrained, going all out with their firepower.

After killing the Dwarves Elves, the Shadow Wraiths led by Daphne directly tapped into the Tower of Dominion’s Negative Energy to drag the corpses straight into the Tower of Dominion.

The thirty-first level below became a large morgue, with neatly arranged bodies filling the space, and more were slowly materializing.

Of the Dwarves Elves that managed to escape the reach of Mesnoel, barely one in ten survived.

The pursuit halted here: not only did the soldiers of Mesnoel stop chasing, but the Sodalite Treants also simultaneously ceased their pursuit.

For the forest was too vast, and chasing further would be like looking for a needle in a haystack, purely a matter of luck.

With that effort, it was better to turn back and deal with the straggling Dwarves Elves.

This battle concluded with an absolute victory for Mesnoel.

Although there were losses on their side, compared to Delnox City, they were negligible, as their Souls had not been lost. The core fighters would be resurrected in an ongoing sequence; only a Life Dice was forfeited, with many receiving an unexpected compensation for it—Summon Shadow Wraiths.

The losses for Delnox City were far more severe.

Setting aside the various enslaved soldiers and creatures, the intelligent lives lost totaled two thousand, half of whom died in battle, with the other half captured.

Out of eight hundred Dwarves Elves, six hundred were killed on the spot, and fewer than two hundred were captured.

Add to that an unexpected gain: Shadow Walker Night Shadow, Bunir, had brought with him over a hundred and thirty True Wraiths.

Not one managed to escape, each and every one becoming a prisoner beneath the Tower of Dominion, with Shadow Walker Night Shadow himself contributing to the nutrients of Weizemay Manor.

Facing an embarrassment of riches from the haul, Gaven had to contend with a pleasant problem.

It was that he now lacked enough points for carrying Shadows.

The way he controlled the transformation of Shadows wasn’t through contracts or summoning like the Velen Sacrificers, but through the Shadow carrying points of Weizemay Manor.

Up to now, the Shadow Construction carrying points in Weizemay Manor were barely over a thousand points in total, with over one hundred fifty points slowly increasing through Undead Divinity. The remaining three hundred fifty points came from the Red Dragon Wraith, Winged Night Shadow, and Shadow Walker Night Shadow, who were utterly dispersed and absorbed.

Even though these Shadow Construction carrying points were amplified tenfold at the Tower of Dominion,

their foundation still lay in Weizemay Manor. A portion belonged to permanent structures and could not be relocated, accounting for nearly three hundred points.

The remaining seven hundred points, once amplified tenfold, tallied just seven thousand points.

If employing these points to carry Shadows, it was not calculated based on the number of Shadows but on their Life Dice.

One Life Dice required the use of one Shadow Construction carrying point.

If all of them were ordinary people transformed by a single Life Dice, indeed, seven thousand Shadows could be accommodated.

But for those with six, seven, or even more than ten Life Dice, the number of people that could be accommodated drastically reduced.

Moreover, this was the theoretical limit. Gaven had to keep at least two thousand carrying points as a tactical force.

If they were all filled, the ability for Shadow Drag would be nullified,

and Daphne and the others could only remain in the Tower of Dominion and would not be able to return to Weizemay Manor, as the ratios were different at each location.

Reluctantly, Gaven could only choose the best of the best, starting from those with the highest Life Dice and working his way down. The previously inadequate candidates had to be eliminated.
