Chapter 544: Chapter 449: The Femme Fatale Offers a Plan_3

The scorn in the other’s laughter made Bunir stiffen, as he glared at them with eyes filled with substantial evil and a chilling aura.

The Elf before him was a Dwarves Elf, possessing a tall stature that most Dwarves Elves lacked, standing at least above one meter seventy, with a figure of perfect curves. She was draped in a thin layer of spider silk, moving in a fashion unlike any other; from legs to waist, coiling and twisting, not so much walking as slithering like a snake. The supple shape of her body was faintly discernible beneath the gossamer veil as she moved forward.

Even her face was flawlessly beautiful – a face that could make the Spider Queen envious. Her eyes emitted a powerful magic aura, like two deep pools seemingly ready to draw one’s soul inside.

However, upon laying eyes on her head, even as the Shadow Walker Night Shadow, Bunir still felt a degree of discomfort; dozens of gray venomous snakes writhed and twisted, hissing by her beautiful cheeks as they flicked their forked tongues, their blood-red eyes coldly fixated on him.

These gray snakes were not pets she kept; they grew directly from her head.

She was not a Dwarves Elf, but a new being who had offered sacrifices to the Evil Deity, gaining eternal beauty and life — a Medusa, also known as a Gorgon.

The one before him was a prominent figure among them, a powerful Medusa Lord, the high and mighty Lady Lilith of Delnox City.

Just a second ago, Lilith’s face was full of smiles, but in an instant, it turned frosty as she said icily, "Are you really sure that my petrifying gaze has no effect on a Shadow Walker Night Shadow?"

A terrifying magic aura exploded in the eyes of the Medusa Lord, casting her face and the snakes upon her head in an ashen-gray hue.

Bunir could clearly sense that something invisible around him had changed, a power that held dominion over all — the Law Force.

This damn beautiful serpent had launched a petrifying gaze attack against him, and it was the kind that directly twisted the laws — she wanted him dead.

This time, Bunir did not dodge but glared back fiercely, releasing a frightful chill from his body.

He was no longer the Velen Sacrifice, but a Shadow Walker Night Shadow, stepping into the realm of legend, a terror incarnate. He too could wield the power of laws, and even more forcefully than his opponent.

Two fearsome strengths met in the air and exploded with a ferocious noise.

Massive amounts of Earth Element and Negative Energy swept through the surroundings in a shockwave, catching several trembling, unfortunate slaves.

Two of them turned to stone sculptures, while three others became ice sculptures.

This indirectly showed that in this confrontation, the Shadow Walker Night Shadow had the upper hand.

The Medusa Lord’s expression subtly changed, the frost on her face thawing instantly as she revealed her sweetest smile, "Congratulations, City Lord, for your good fortune in gaining greater strength, truly making the name Terror Nightshadow fitting. It was just a little joke just now; I hope the City Lord won’t mind."

"You know I don’t like jokes, especially ones of that sort," Bunir replied with unwavering firmness, understanding the whole situation clearly in his mind.

Shit joke.

You’re saying it’s a joke because you couldn’t kill me.

If you had managed to kill me, would you still say it was a joke?

Don’t think I’m unaware that behind those fools seizing power, you, the beautiful serpent, have been whispering encouragements.

But he had no choice but to go along with her explanation, treating the matter as a joke.

Because his anger wouldn’t flare up now, he needed her and the power she held in her hands now more than ever.

The Rebooter from Mesnoel had much more energy than he had imagined, and if he didn’t drive him out of Mesnoel quickly.

Not only would their chances of obtaining Mesnoel significantly dwindle, but it might even become the biggest obstacle to their taking control over Mir Forest, like a poisoned thorn wedged between the three cities.

You can imagine what kind of wrath the Master of the Masked will unleash upon me by that time, right?

"Don’t let it happen again," the Medusa Lord’s eyes flashed with smug satisfaction. She had leveraged her position fearlessly from the beginning, keeping her adversary tightly in her grip.

Indeed, she was a Medusa, but not one by birth.

Before this, she was a Priestess serving the Spider Queen Rose and had secretly pledged herself to The Masked King Velen, becoming his Masked Renegade. After her identity was unfortunately exposed, she fled Rose’s web and gained the promised immortality from the Master of the Masked — though such immortality came with a price.

While her appearance had transformed into a Medusa, her inner essence remained that of a Dwarves Elf, with desires for power more intense than any Dwarves Elf, employing more cunning and underhanded methods.

If it weren’t so, how could she have deceived Rose and escaped her wrath?

With a grunt, the Shadow Walker Night Shadow asked, "Why are you here?"

"Of course, to offer my counsel and lighten the City Lord’s worries," replied the Medusa Lord with a smile. "I have a plan that can strike at Mesnoel and free us from the control of the Blade of Venom, consolidating the City Lord’s rule over Delnox City."

The beautiful serpent obviously came prepared, fully aware of Bunir’s current predicament.

"Does my rule over Delnox City still need consolidation?" snorted the Shadow Walker Night Shadow. "All those dissenters are right here."

The Shadow Walker Night Shadow gestured toward the massive altar behind him, shrouded in dark mist, where the angry and miserable screams never ceased. Countless shadows moved back and forth trying to break free, yet they were bound in place by a tremendous force.

Those were the fruits of the purge he had just orchestrated in Delnox City; he had turned all the rebels into shadows.

These weren’t any ordinary shadows but the real Nightshadows that had taken their victims’ place after killing them, having metamorphosed into a weakened version of themselves.

Bunir’s rule over Delnox City hadn’t been a fluke; it was secured through his ruthless tactics.

This time, he took it to the extreme, killing those rebels twice.
