Chapter 472: Chapter 410 Target Darama_1

Gaven communicated with Lord Virginia through consciousness, "Issue the war mobilization order, we’ll focus all our strength on the right foreleg, aiming to get it moving first."

"Understood." Lord Virginia was now in tune with Gaven’s intentions and instantly grasped the essence of his tactics. Her voice instantly enveloped the sky above the Dragon Oak Mother Tree, reaching the ears of every being related to it.

"Everyone, take your battle positions. Repeat, this is not a drill. The Dragon Oak Dream Realm permissions have been released. Those without battle positions, enter the Dragon Oak Dream Realm and deeply synchronize with the dream. We need your strength now. Everyone, secure yourselves. You have ten minutes to act."

The same message was repeated every half minute, clearly not from Lord Virginia herself but from a pre-set audio recording.

"What’s going on? What battle positions? Why do we have to enter the Dragon Oak Dream Realm?"

"Ha ha... Your words reveal that you’re new here. Hasn’t anyone told you that the Dragon Oak Mother Tree could potentially move? We all are part of that strength."

"We too are part of the strength? How is that possible? It’s so big, we’re so small, how much strength can we provide? How do we provide it?"

"Haven’t you heard the saying, ’Many hands make light work’? The strength of one or two people is certainly not enough, but when tens of thousands of the Fae Race join forces, then there’s no problem. Don’t talk nonsense, just by entering the Dragon Oak Dream Realm you are providing strength. I’ll tell you the detailed reason when I have time."

"Ha ha... I never thought this day would come so soon. I’ve waited a long time for this day. The moment we get the Mother Tree moving will also be the moment we launch our revenge battle against the Black Mirror Kingdom. We will take back our homeland and crush those bastards completely."

The reactions of the Fae Race on the Dragon Oak Mother Tree varied. Some were bewildered and helpless; others were excited. However, all of them responded.

Even though they were not soldiers, what the Dragon Oak Mother Tree needed them to do was easy, and they naturally obeyed such orders.

Those who lived nearby slipped back into their houses, and a mass of vines stretched out, fixing them and their homes securely to the surrounding walls.

Those who lived further away went to the nearest wall of the Dragon Oak Mother Tree, leaned against it, and vines stretched out from the wall, binding them tightly. This included both their own strength and that of the Dragon Oak Mother Tree.

Treants and Enlightened Trees entered a rooted state nearby.

All animals burrowed into nearby caves, and once they had settled, vines extended from beneath them to secure them in place.

All the birds took flight from the Dragon Oak Mother Tree at once, forming a vast assembly without regard to species or size, hovering and circling around it.

If someone were far enough away, they would notice that the Dragon Oak Mother Tree was clearly gathering strength. All of that strength was concentrating on its right foreleg, which was emanating an increasingly intense green glow, with a vast array of Mysterious Runes coalescing.

A "crack" and "snap" could be heard coming from the tree leg that rivaled skyscrapers.

The sound was so loud it was as if a mountain range was fracturing.

This right leg went through another round of streamlining, becoming more slender and more solid, and the ground around it was cracking. It was pulling itself completely out of the ground.

But this task was taking far longer than Gaven had anticipated. It was uncertain if Zalanda could hold on the other end.

As one flower blooms, each reveals a different branch.

Gaven had taken Veranika back to the Dragon Oak Dream Realm to seek reinforcements, while Zalanda was also busy, quickly adjusting tactics and formations.

Zalanda said, "To prevent the Divine Root from changing its direction, I’ll follow and monitor it with Lady Shanoba. You should still set the traps you had planned here. Even if they are useless against the Divine Root, they will still work against the corrupted creatures that follow it."

"I’ll take on this task, my speed is a bit faster," volunteered the Half-Moon Colt.

"No," Zalanda refused, shaking his head. "It’s obviously targeting you. If you get too close, It might bring about other changes. What you need to do now is stay here as bait to draw it in, not scatter in other directions."

"How about I accompany you there? If we are in the air together, we can take care of each other," offered Regina, summoning her gryphon mount. "I’m not of much use staying here."

Regina left unsaid that she wanted to gather materials on the scene.

Although the memory images of Zalanda and Shanoba could also be accessed later, she believed that she had a better eye and advantage in this area, capable of capturing more spectacular and beautiful scenes.

In contrast to how to kill the Divine Root, she was more concerned with the issue of producing a great movie. That was her main purpose for this trip and related to another ability she had recently unlocked.

Phantom Film Creator (Special Ability) — You have created an unprecedented type of phantom film. With every hundred viewers who truly enjoy your phantom film and acknowledge it, you gain a point of Musical Magic. This magic can only be used to improve Bard Professional Level. Each viewer can only contribute once to your Musical Magic with the same film; additional views are ineffective.

Your projection illusions will inherently be of Extreme efficacy with an expanded effect.

You have an advantage in countering projection illusions.

The capabilities of the creator of the Sounds of Terror were already formidable, and yet the abilities of the Phantom Film Creator were even more terrifying.

Because the former was too limited, confined by the speed at which Weizemay Manor itself collected Fear Points. But this was Felen, where tourism wasn’t developed; even with the reputation of Weizemay Manor, very few people came for a horror experience.

Phantom films were different as they could be taken out and affect more people.

Setting aside other factors and just considering the creator’s effect, after several days of continuous broadcasts, over eighty percent of Darama’s citizens had witnessed this phantom.

No one dared say it was absolute, but at least ninety-nine percent genuinely liked it since it was an unprecedented, public entertainment.

This directly harvested seven to eight hundred points of Musical Magic for Regina. It might not seem like much.

But that was just one city and one memory film’s broadcast. Provided there was enough material, it wouldn’t be a problem for Regina to make ten or eight pieces in one year.

Once they had success in multiple locations and had hundreds of thousands, or even millions, watching simultaneously.

Earning tens of thousands of points in Musical Magic per day wasn’t an unattainable dream.

Just the thought of it made Regina shiver with excitement, uncontrollably.

Right now, advancing one Professional Level for a Bard only cost her about ten thousand points of Magic Power. To ascend to a Legendary Bard from her current state, one hundred thousand points of Musical Magic would suffice.

Before, it was a distant dream, with no hope in sight for ten or eight years.

Now, Regina was confident that within one or two years, she could realize this dream, and by then, she wouldn’t dare claim to be the youngest Legendary of Felen, but she’d definitely be the youngest Bard.

That single thought gave her an abundance of motivation, and she felt Gaven was like a huge mine of phantom films, his experiences ripe for deep exploration and could definitely be made into a film series.

Zalanda was the second, Darnell and August were the third and fourth.

Zalanda had no idea that the beautiful woman before him was calculating fervently in her mind. After a brief pause, he nodded, "Alright, let’s go."

Finding the advancing Divine Root wasn’t difficult—it could be heard thundering from afar. Watching a memory image was one thing; observing it up close was another—like a moving mini-mountain range. Everything seemed insignificant before it, and the stench of decay reached them on the wind before they even saw it.

Facing it was a dual challenge for the senses, both visual and olfactory.

Its advancing footsteps showed no new changes; it aimed in the direction Zalanda and the others had initially come from.

"It seems Miss Luna’s abilities have thoroughly shocked those Moando Servants, driving them mad to act so recklessly," sighed Regina.

Zalanda didn’t entirely agree with her. "It’s probably not just because of a simple ability counter. The enemy may have plans we don’t know about. Because anything that happens comes at a price, especially something as huge as this Divine Root moving. It’s not minor; otherwise, Moando would have let it run amok, spreading corruption and harvesting divine nature and Divine Power a long time ago."

"That makes sense," Regina started with a nod then shook her head, "But don’t forget they’re a group of cultists devoted to a chaotic evil True God with no rationality. They’ve done plenty of self-destructive things—no telling if they’re doing the same this time. It could be a simple loss of control or a surge of madness."

"If it was merely out of control or a surge of madness, it wouldn’t be fixated on chasing Luna, rather it would head straight for Darama and start a massacre... Damn... it’s really going to do that."

As Zalanda and Regina hung back from the Divine Root to discuss the situation from afar,

Suddenly, it halted its progress and turned towards Darama, sprinting wildly.

Clearly, the large Pet Servant Caroline controlling the Divine Root had realized that the Pegasus’s speed was far too great. Though immensely formidable, catching a fleeing Pegasus was out of question.

Since catching up was impossible, the next best thing was to force her to reveal herself.

This was the fatal weakness of the kind races and good people who would lay down their own blood for a greater good or the lives of many. That Half-Moon Colt would likely be no exception.

This abrupt change numbed the scalps of both Zalanda and Regina. "I’m heading back to Darama ahead to coordinate the evacuation," Zalanda said, "Miss Regina, go notify the others to move towards Darama."

"What if it’s a feint?" Regina countered.

"There will be no feint. It’s using this strategy to force Miss Luna to reveal herself willingly. It’s a common tactic of the cultists, and this time is no exception. It’s preparing to use the entire population of Darama as a hostage."

Zalanda added, "Tell Miss Luna not to do anything foolish. There’s no bargaining with cultists. Even if they get what they want, they will not have any mercy or honor. This situation isn’t entirely bad. According to its current pace, it’s going to take it at least an hour to reach Darama. We will see if there’s any response from Gaven’s side."

"How do we notify Mr. Darnell, and what about Duke Gaven?" Regina asked the most critical question.

"We have no way to notify him; we can only hope that the reinforcements he’s seeking are strong enough. We also can’t put all our hopes on him. I will make a third contingency plan in Darama. If it dares to massacre the city, the gods will have a valid reason to intervene." Zalanda was putting his hopes on Lady Strategy Red Knight.

Darama had now become her largest Land of Faith, and she wouldn’t watch it be destroyed.
