Farming in a Parallel World and Becoming a God -
Chapter 359 - 299 Five-Willow War God Vajra_1
Chapter 359: Chapter 299 Five-Willow War God Vajra_1
One method was, like the previous Enlightenment of the Five-Willow, to absorb and guide negative energy into Weizemay Manor, even just as a channel, the amount of energy that was guided in was enough to receive enhancements and benefits.
This was not merely a personal conjecture but was backed by concrete evidence.
Gaven’s Special Ability, Life Empowerment, now had attributes that were no longer +1 Constitution and 15 Life Force points, but +1 Constitution and 17 Life Force points instead.
Those two Life Force points had been recently acquired as Dragon Oak Mother Tree channeled and transformed energy into Rose Tower.
Though this could not compare with the first time.
But it was still better than nothing, and when accumulations made little by little, it was quite significant.
Then there was Amanda, the little creature hidden in his shadow.
She had not only the ability to phase in and out of reality but also a terrifying ability to absorb life.
Wherever his shadow could reach, she could also arrive and launch coordinated attacks.
Her biggest problem right now was her poor combat awareness.
Playing at surprise attacks was one thing, but contributing to an intensely dynamic and changing battle was quite another matter.
Combat awareness is something that could be cultivated and trained.
He planned to increase her training in this aspect, making her a part of his combat strength.
"An impressive battle, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen such a high-level exchange," Olive applauded with enthusiasm, her face showing her eagerness for more, "It’s normal for Mr. August to have such formidable combat skills, but for Mr. Gaven to perform so exceptionally, it’s truly unexpected."
August smiled and said, "I’m not at all surprised by Brother Gaven’s strength; compared to his other talents and achievements, this is nothing remarkable?"
Olive nodded uncontrollably, "Not to mention anything else, just his ability to purify lands tainted with evil puts us to shame. His three days of purification work are equivalent to my three years, not to mention the negative energy here has been drained."
Even a portion of the negative energy within the Land of Sealing had been drained, leaving only the collection of the casting materials to start the Great Saint Residence spell and it would be done. In less than half a year, the purification here will be complete."
When Olive and the others raised the Sanctum in the Land of Sealing,
part of the negative energy was indeed neutralized, but much more was expelled, and then sucked up by the Five-Willow like a pump, all transferred to Weizemay Manor.
This unexpected situation made things much easier on Olive’s end.
Even Gaven, with his thick skin, couldn’t hold up under such praise, and he humbly smiled, "Accidental, all purely accidental."
"I hope for more such ’accidents,’ the more, the better," Olive said with a smile.
"I have something I wish to discuss with the two of you," Gaven said seriously, steering the conversation towards more serious matters.
"What is it?"
"Little brother Gaven, you don’t need to stand on ceremony with us, just speak your mind."
"I thought that both of you could stay here for some time, but now it seems that in a few days, the purification of this place will be complete," Gaven stated thoughtfully, "The Coffin of Sealing below is always a safety hazard if left here, so I want to remove it and take it back to Weizemay Manor for protection, until we find a suitable way to deal with it."
Though he was in a state of Enlightenment, he had a clear grasp of the entire situation at the Land of Sealing.
Whether it was on the surface, or the negative energy underground, it was all being drawn to Weizemay Manor through the Five-Willow, and the purification speed was set to increase by dozens of times.
"This is indeed a problem," Olive couldn’t help but agree with a nod.
She had initially estimated that she would need to live here for a year or even longer, but now it seemed that in another ten days or so, it would be almost done.
If she couldn’t think of a way to handle the Coffin of Sealing, she would be in a difficult situation, not knowing whether to stay or leave.
"Easier said than done, but how can the Coffin of Sealing be raised from the Underground River below? And how can it be transported out?" August frowned, "Your Treant Knight has enough strength for sure, but the entrance to the Land of Sealing is too narrow. It probably won’t fit through. If we dig up the entire surface, the amount of work would be tremendous."
"Thornspike can’t enter, but they should have no problem," Gaven gestured towards the five willow trees.
As if responding to Gaven, the five willow trees shakily uprooted themselves.
Several branches rustled and fell off, the trunks warped, and ancient faces emerged.
The five willow trees completed their final transformation, utterly morphing into Awakened Trees.
Compared to Thornspike, their stature was similar to Black Nanmu, quite sturdy, not very tall, and only around seven or eight meters in height.
They were actually sturdier than Black Nanmu.
Because Black Nanmu was like an explosion of branches, its height was due to its crown spreading out.
The willows, on the other hand, hung down their branches, with long hair reaching their waists, effectively reducing their apparent height.
The five willow trees were like identical twins, not only similar in size but even their shapes were as if carved from the same mold.
This situation was not natural.
Before this transformation, the sizes of the five willow trees varied considerably.
The largest, which was also the first to be Enlightened by Gaven, stood at a towering fifteen meters.
The smallest was around six or seven meters tall.
Now having the same physique was a result of their last transformation, where they had each made adjustments.
The taller and thicker ones shed most of their branches, reducing their size, while the shorter and thinner ones continuously grew and expanded.
An invisible force linked them together, allowing them to complement each other’s deficiencies.
This unique scenario left the onlookers dumbfounded.
This was the first time they had seen identically looking Treants, and to emerge five at once.
"Five?"
The Thorn Spirit Druid Ian’s eyeballs almost popped out as he watched the excitement unfold at the side.
The other party had enlightened five willow trees at once?
This scenario utterly shattered Ian’s understanding and recognition of the Enlightenment.
What kind of monstrous species was the other party?
They were capable of holding their own against a Transcendent Holy Knight in close combat for two rounds without falling behind.
The Enlightenment left this Transcendent Druid, Ian himself, utterly crushed with no place to stand.
As for purging evil, even that Transcendent Priest felt inferior.
August and the others were not very familiar with Enlightenment, so their shock was not as great, but the envy on their faces was undeniable.
Enlightenment was simply a game-breaking divine skill.
As long as the person with this skill wished, they could randomly turn a large tree into their ally.
But true Druids were often very stick-in-the-mud, with minds as wooden and knotted as the Treants themselves.
Talking about, "for the sake of natural balance."
Talking about, "to better nurture the Treants."
They seldom used this skill.
The Thorn Spirit Druid Ian was typical of this, didn’t you notice he was an old-school Druid with hardly a few Treants or enlightened trees around him?
On the contrary, Mr. Gaven, who was not originally from a Druid background, was very enthusiastic about this.
Those two Treants in the Thacel Refugee Camp probably came about this way.
Their combat prowess was witnessed by all.
Even August, who was skilled and brave, would never dare to engage in close combat with any of them, especially that Treant Knight, who could probably chop him into mush with a single axe blow.
Envious as they were, August and his companions were in good spirits, congratulating Gaven, "Congratulations, Brother Gaven, for adding a few more capable generals to your ranks. With their help, the problem isn’t too big, we can give it a try."
Gaven’s face was calm, but in reality, he too was shocked by this unique situation.
After all, this time’s enlightenment situation completely exceeded his expectations, so he couldn’t help but directly check the status of the Five-Willow.
Life Force: 116 (10D12+50)
Size: Ultra-Large
Attributes: Strength 22, Dexterity 10, Constitution 20, Intelligence 8, Perception 12, Charisma 13
Special Ability: Shapeshift (Special Ability) — The still enlightened trees look exactly the same as ordinary willows.
Paralysis Entanglement (Special Ability) — Creatures entering the range covered by willow branches will be entangled and restrained by proliferating branches, filled with Negative Energy in each attack. Those hit will be paralyzed upon failed Saving Throws, and if they cannot break free over an extended period, they will be strangled unconscious, or even to death.
Overwhelm (Transcendent Strength Bonus) — Those of a smaller size find themselves at a disadvantage in strength confrontations, more easily knocked down, trampled.
Negative Energy Regeneration (Transcendent Physique Bonus) — Capable of absorbing Negative Energy to heal one’s injuries.
Five-Willow Union (Special Ability) — Rooted and born of the same source as other willows, possessing a shared consciousness, they can make unrestricted contact within the same plane. When they are within ten meters of each other, they can enter Union state, requiring at least three to enter Union, and only with all five gathered can they form a complete entity.
The five willow trees not only looked the same but also had identical attribute panels, not even half an attribute point off.
All of them were enlightened Treants, but their Life Dice weren’t high, barely meeting the standard for Treants.
Gaven later found out in exchanges with other Druids that the biggest divide between enlightened trees and enlightened Treants was the Life Dice.
Enlightened Treants belonged to Transcendent lifeforms, never having less than ten Life Dice.
Enlightened trees could only have up to nine Life Dice. When they possessed ten Life Dice, that was when they gained Transcendent power and transformed into Treants.
So being an enlightened tree for the moment didn’t mean one was destined to be an enlightened tree forever, it depended on whether they had the chance to grow.
The other attributes of the five willow trees were fine, except that Intelligence attribute made Gaven frown — it was on the same level as the average Gnolls.
But upon reflection, their initial consciousness was incomplete, and the five had shared Enlightenment knowledge similar to Thornspike, so having this Intelligence was actually quite impressive. At least they didn’t fall into the disabled class and could execute most commands without issues.
Shapeshift, Overwhelm, Negative Energy Regeneration — these were all standard Special Abilities, nothing noteworthy.
What was interesting were the other two abilities.
Paralysis Entanglement, which was a unique ability of the willow trees stemming from their long, drifting branches — carelessly entangled, one could be hung alive.
A classic close combat control skill.
But what truly made Gaven exclaim in shock was that Five-Willow Union.
It remarkably confirmed his initial guess that they could form a willow tree War God Vajra.
If it weren’t for the fact there were too many people present and it was a bit too shocking, Gaven wanted to let the Five-Willow Union together to see what the so-called complete entity actually looked like.
"Let’s go, let’s go down and give it a try." Seeing no objections from August and Olive, Gaven naturally moved into action directly.
Taking the Five-Willow, he plunged toward the Land of Sealing.
On their way to the Land of Sealing, two Thorn Spirit Leaders from the Rose Tower approached them.
Deep apologized with sincerity, "Mr. Gaven, we have come to apologize. We previously misunderstood your goodwill. You have given our Rose Tower an unprecedented grand gift, and we truly do not know how to repay your kindness. From today on, you are the most esteemed guest of our Rose Tower, and our doors will always be open for you. When you depart, our Rose Village will present you with a grand gift."
"The Leader is too kind," Gaven replied with an indifferent smile, "I haven’t taken this matter to heart, nor do I need any gifts from you. If you really appreciate what I did, I’d like you to do me two small favors."
"Mr. Gaven, please say the word. Whatever we can do, we will do our utmost," the Thorn Spirit Leader said, thumping his chest.
