Chapter 350: Chapter 290 Finishing Touches_1

"Let this be the proof," Gaven said, prepared. He pulled out a blood-soaked package from his combat backpack. Inside was a Dwarves Vampire Mage.

His eyes were half-closed, void of the sanguine hue they once held, replaced by an endless emptiness. His expression was extremely distorted, frozen in a mix of terror and disbelief, as if he couldn’t fathom his own death.

Then, Gaven took out two short swords of Dwarves Elf style from his combat backpack and said, "We blasted the head of that warrior to smithereens, unable to decapitate him, but we have his weapons in our possession."

"No need, no need, we believe you," the Thorn Spirit Leader said, unable to hide the ecstasy on his face. "We were just a bit incredulous. After all, the trouble and savagery of vampires are well known—a single one is a big enough menace, let alone three together. We just didn’t expect that you, lords, would be even stronger."

As he spoke, the gazes of the three Thorn Spirits inadvertently fell upon the Transcendent Priest and the two Holy Warriors.

Out of past understanding and instinct, they attributed the credit to these three, believing that their abilities were the bane of vampires.

Gaven didn’t bother to correct the misunderstanding but took the opportunity to introduce, "This is Lady Olive, this is Mr. August, and this is Mr. Darnell. They played monumental roles in this operation.

Especially Lady Olive and Mr. August—they possess a noble sentiment that we couldn’t match. For the next while, they’ve chosen to remain here to thoroughly purify this land of evil and heal the forest corrupted by malice..."

Before Gaven could finish, August quickly interrupted, "We are far from as grand as young brother Gaven has described. Our staying here is merely to fulfill our duty and for our personal cultivation, purifying the evil is just incidental."

He was clearly a bit overwhelmed by Gaven’s professional flattery.

While most of what the other party said was true, once it passed through his lips, the nature of it seemed completely altered.

"Great lords, is it possible for you to seal the Vampire Lord once more?" the excitement on the faces of the three Thorn Spirits intensified.

Honestly speaking, the distances were too close.

The Elf Mage Tower where they lived was originally built to keep watch over this Land of Sealing.

After the great retreat of the elves, only they remained in this place.

The Vampire Lord was simply too powerful. Even in a sealed state, the evil aura that leaked could corrupt the nearby forest.

If this continued for much longer, it would start affecting their village, and they would have to consider relocation.

"Not sealing again, but purifying this place. The Vampire Lord sealed here has been completely annihilated by us—no, by brother Gaven," August clarified.

"Completely destroyed? How can that be possible? That’s something even the Supreme Elf Mages were unable to do," the squinty eyes of the three Thorn Spirits suddenly doubled in size, nearly bulging out.

They could believe that the Dwarves Vampire was eliminated.

But the notion that the sealed Vampire Lord had also been destroyed was hard for them to accept.

If the Vampire Lord had been so easy to destroy, would those Supreme Elf Mages have gone through all the trouble to seal him here, leaving a safety hazard in the forest?

On the other hand, there really was no need for the other party to lie.

Such a lie would be very easy to expose because the Land of Sealing was just a stone’s throw away; one look inside, and the truth would be clear.

Sensing that Gaven seemed to want to address this issue, Regina stepped forward and said, "Stop explaining here and there. Let me handle this matter."

"Of course," replied Gaven, who would naturally not refuse. He had already experienced Regina’s prowess in storytelling firsthand, which was not something his own awkward praises could match.

It was a combination of story and reality, captivating like a legendary tale while blending in realism, making one unconsciously accept her words.

Most importantly, she could professionally extol himself, while he could only laud others.

Professional was indeed professional.

Regina began to speak, displaying her professional level immediately.

She started from the last intelligence exchange and ended with Gaven’s solo effort to destroy and purify the Demigod Ruptured Palm of the Goddess of Undead Vengeance.

It left the Thorn Spirits dumbfounded.

Indeed, by the time Regina finished her story, the Thorn Spirits listening weren’t just three, but nearly twenty.

They were all captivated by the unbelievable fantasy tale.

Throughout the story, Regina refrained from employing excessive hyperbole, narrating plainly and only occasionally using storytelling technique.

Because the story was already legendary enough, there was no need for unnecessary gimmicks, which could potentially weaken the story.

Sometimes, reality is more fantastic than fiction.

When Regina’s story concluded, the Thorn Spirits looked at Gaven as if seeing a monster, an inconceivable being.

As for questioning the truth of the tale?

They now found themselves within the Land of Sealing, witnessing with their own eyes the harrowing scene.

It only leaves personally inspecting the fine gold coffin in the underground river.

After listening to the entire story, the Thorn Spirit leader named Deep, declaring with a slap to his chest, said, "Assisting you in purifying this dark evil land is an inescapable duty of our Rose Tower. From now on, you are eternal guests of the Rose Tower.

While the two of you purify this land of its evil, do not camp in the forest. Instead, stay at our Rose Tower, where we will take care of your food and lodging."

Lady Olive quickly replied, "It would be our greatest honor to be guests in your village. A simple shelter to shield us from the wind and rain would suffice, and we will take care of our food."

Being a Moon Elf, she naturally did not lack experience in dealing with the Fae Race.

Knowing their shy and reclusive nature, the fact they would allow outsiders into their homes was an enormous honor for newcomers.

"No, you need not worry about such matters. Only by doing so, can you focus all your energy on purifying this dark evil land," the Thorn Spirit leader Deep insisted stubbornly.

Lady Olive thought it over and agreed, considering that purifying this Land of Sealing would be the best repayment, "Very well, we will do our utmost."

"In terms of purification, is there anything you need our help with? If so, just ask," the Thorn Spirit leader Deep inquired.

Lady Olive hesitated for a moment but still spoke, "We will start the purification from the Sanctum. I just measured it, and we need at least eight Sanctums to thoroughly connect them and form a Great Saint Residence that encompasses the entire Land of Sealing. I only have enough materials to cast two Sanctums, leaving a shortfall of six..."

"That can be easily managed. The Great Druid of our Rose Tower, Lord Ian, is also capable of casting Sanctum. When the time comes, I will invite him to assist the lady. He should have reserves for this, and if that’s still not enough, give us a list and we will prepare," replied the Thorn Spirit of the Rose Tower, sparing no effort in helping with the purification of the Land of Sealing.

"The Sanctum mainly requires herbs, oil, and incense. These three can be found in the forest, among which herbs are the most troublesome due to their large demand. We leave that in your hands," Lady Olive said without further courtesy.

If she were to purify this Land of Sealing alone, the most troublesome part would be collecting the various materials, especially the herbs. It would take her months to gather enough for casting so many Sanctums.

With the help of numerous Thorn Spirits, if she could delegate these time-consuming tasks to them and focus solely on casting Sanctum, things would become much simpler.

Especially since a Transcendent Druid would be aiding her, making everything even easier.

As long as the spellcasting materials were supplied properly, turning this place into a Great Saint Residence would only take about ten days.

Seeing that Lady Olive and the two Holy Warriors made no mention of the fine gold coffin in the underground river,

Gaven had to be the one to broach the most worldly topic, "How shall we deal with the fine gold coffin in the underground river?"

Although Gaven was the main one to defeat the Demigod Ruptured Palm, they were currently an adventure group, and naturally, the spoils should not be monopolized. Gaven didn’t intend to keep them all for himself either.

"If possible, of course, we should retrieve it and find an excellent blacksmith to forge it into equipment," said August, as if it was obvious.

He did not care at all that it was once a coffin.

"I think we should wait on this matter. This fine gold coffin was crafted by Supreme Elf Mages, and it contained a Legendary Vampire with an Undead Divinity for thousands of years. It certainly has its unique features. It would be a waste to dismantle it rashly,"

Lady Olive leaned towards caution, "Why not wait until this place becomes a Great Saint Residence and all evil forces are purified? After we’ve determined the situation inside the fine gold coffin and its true efficacy, it won’t be too late to discuss it then."

Mr. Darnell did not side with his teacher but supported the ideas of the Moon Elf Priest, "Lady Olive’s suggestion is more prudent. For now, let us shelf this matter. After all, it’s easy to extract the fine gold coffin, but to ascertain its harmlessness and to forge it into equipment is difficult. Such a task certainly cannot be entrusted to an ordinary blacksmith."

Lord Virginia shrugged, "I’m not concerned with this issue. You all can handle it."

Regina said, going with the flow, "I will comply with the group’s decision."

As for the Dog Demon, no one even asked for his opinion, and he knew well that he was not in a position to comment. In the presence of the two Transcendent Holy Knights, he was as meek as could be. If possible, he wished he could turn invisible and disappear.

The occasional glances from the Holy Warriors made him uncomfortable from head to toe, giving him the constant feeling they were looking for his weaknesses, pondering which spot would be most convenient for their warhammer when striking him down.

In the end, all eyes converged on Gaven, clearly, his opinion would be decisive on this matter. No matter how it was divided, he would have the lion’s share of the spoils.

"Lady Olive’s approach is indeed more cautious, we will proceed with her method," After weighing the options, Gaven thought the matter could be delayed.

Most importantly, his own gear was already luxurious, particularly his combat armor, which was made of fine gold alloy and enhanced by the infusion of the Dragon Oak Mother Tree’s life force.

The former can be replicated, but the latter is something you cannot just stumble upon.

Unless he was given a divine artifact level of powerful armor, his combat armor would still be practical, even if it reached legendary status.

Or rather, the combat armor is more formidable than many of the Legendary Warriors’ armors.

At least, the magic heavy armor from Gaven’s former life at his peak, was still inferior to it.

Speaking of which, if the fine gold coffin were to be forged into armor, it could definitely be modeled after the combat armor.

If a small squad of knights wearing combat armor were to charge into battle alongside him, the mere thought was enough to get the blood racing.

As for whether Lady Olive and August might take advantage for themselves,

The mere flash of this idea made Gaven feel ashamed of himself, thinking only the morally corrupt could measure others by their own sordid thoughts.

If they did so, especially August, he would not deserve to be called a Holy Warrior.
