Chapter 1415: Chapter 738: The Hidden Treasure of Colossus City_2
The one reporting information to Gaven wasn’t a Dwarves Elf, but a Naga with a human face and a snake body, Alhashan, the former Vizier Spirit Soul Naga of the Lizard Court, who is the leader of this Shadow Wing Task Force.
This snake had survived for so many years under the temperamental Lizard Queen, not by flattery, but by possessing extraordinary abilities. The current state of the Lizard Court owes at least half of its success to him.
If not for Gaven previously holding the cheating Undead Divinity, he might have really escaped.
If you want strategy, he has strategy; if you want patience, he has patience; if you want capability, he has capability.
The only concern worth worrying about is loyalty, but it can be disregarded since his soul’s essence is under control.
As for whether he is merely pretending to be loyal, like he did with the Lizard Queen, while secretly planning to escape again,
Gaven doesn’t care much, his way of controlling the Spirit Soul Naga is different from the Lizard Queen’s, he doesn’t carry the Naga Stone with him, but hides it, possibly in Weizemay Manor or the Dragon Oak Mother Tree.
The Spirit Soul Naga needs to first find out where his Naga Stone is to break free.
Before that, he must be diligent and do his utmost to serve Gaven loyally.
He and Dog Demon Andrew are now collectively known as Gaven’s Snake and Dog, the most loyal ones. If Gaven points east, they certainly won’t go west. If they can use 100% of their strength, they certainly won’t use just 80%, at least on the surface.
Because they clearly understand that their origins determine that Gaven can use any means on them without worry. No matter how dark the methods used on them, it won’t arouse public anger, but rather applause.
Their new master is more treacherous than a Devil, as ruthless as a Demon, and adept at disguise like All Gods.
"The main passage is located in the middle Dark Domain, which is good news and will greatly facilitate our demolition operation. However, for this operation to succeed, the key is to find all the passages, whether they are in the middle Dark Domain or the upper layer."
The Dark Domain is the term Felen surface dwellers use for the subterranean world.
The hollow earth theory has many staunch believers on the Felen Continent.
They believe Toril’s earth is hollow and contains another world. As to what this world is like, opinions vary widely.
Some say it’s an earthly paradise, peaceful and as beautiful as heaven.
Others firmly believe it’s a hell, a prison sealing ancient evil beings that are more terrifying than demons and devils. When they escape the prison and charge out from the earth, it will also be Toril’s destruction.
The numerous underground caves are strong evidence supporting the hollow earth theory.
However, mages have their own explanation for the Dark Domain—elemental pulse.
This is the trace and gap left by elemental converging pulses when the Planet Toril was formed. These pulses still exist today.
Each pulse can trigger catastrophic events like earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions, causing doom for intelligent life.
This process creates new Dark Domains while destroying old ones.
No matter which explanation is correct, one thing is certain, the Dark Domain has existed on the Planet Toril since ancient times, as long-standing as this world.
This region became truly known to Felen’s surface dwellers due to the rebellion within the Elf Pantheon, leading to the descent of the Dwarves Elf.
Under the guidance of Queen Spider Rose, the Dwarves Elf betrayed the Elf Pantheon and migrated to the dark, damp Dark Domain to escape the curse of the Elf Main God Corellon—sensitivity to sunlight. Though not as extreme as vampires, who are killed by sunlight, they suffer serious allergies, facing disadvantages in all aspects.
Led by the evil gods of the Dwarves Elf, they used conspiracy to rule this land, enslaving its inhabitants with deceit.
After thousands of years of development, they have gained an absolute dominance in the Dark Domain, at least in the eyes of surface dwellers. Mention the Dark Domain, and people immediately think of the Dwarves Elf.
But those with deep knowledge of the Dark Domain know that the Dwarves Elf at most occupy a significant advantage in only a small part of it. The evil entities residing here are far more numerous and powerful than the world imagines.
Mentioning any of their names is like a nightmare for ordinary people, such as Mind Flayer, Abyssal Mawfish, or Eye Demon.
Fortunately, for most people, the Dark Domain remains quite distant.
The Dark Domain is divided into the upper, middle, and lower layers.
Simply using the distance from the surface to classify them is not entirely accurate. Another crucial factor that cannot be ignored is whether this part of the Dark Domain has a direct exit to the surface.
If it does, then no matter how deep it sinks, even thousands of meters, it must be counted as the upper layer passage.
If it doesn’t, even if it lies only a hundred or even tens of meters deep, it must be counted as the middle layer Dark Domain.
Such exceptions exist, but they are ultimately in the minority. Most divisions are still based on their distance from the surface.
The upper Dark Domain is close to the surface, with passages directly connected to it. Their numbers and depths vary, ranging from tens to hundreds of meters.
