Chapter 1409: Chapter 736: Decisive Killing_2

The Orcs produced by the former threaten the safety of Waterdeep City to the north and invade Baldur’s Gate to the south.

The Orcs produced by the latter, more than a decade later, surged out under the leadership of a tribe called the Multiple Arrows Tribe, and established an Orc Kingdom named Dark Arrow near the Silvermoon Alliance, considered the greatest threat by the Silvermoon Alliance.

Just like how Devils and Demons would start fighting upon meeting, the Hobgoblins and Orcs, both being monster races of the wilderness, have a negligible potential for peaceful coexistence. More often, they compete for survival resources, enslaving or driving each other to extinction.

This characteristic also restrains each other, slowing their development in the wilderness.

Usually, these Orcs oppress others, forcing them to pay tribute and pray for peace. Now, the Hobgoblins of Blood Gorge City arrogantly try to extract benefits from them, leaving them enraged. If the opponent hadn’t proven themselves not to be pushovers with swords, they would have already swung their giant axes forward.

The Orc tribes vaguely follow a leader called Ulcruna, the Half-Beast Giant Troll. This guy is like stacking buffs; he has many distinctive advantages layered on him. He has Troll Bloodline that grants him formidable regenerative capabilities, and he is massive in size, comparable to those Noble Giant Trolls, starting at six meters.

In terms of body type, he leans more towards Orcs, with explosive muscles and a pair of exposed tusks resembling small elephant tusks. Even just sitting there, he has the ability to look down on everyone.

The mixed blood flowing through his body not only grants him influence among Orcs but also dominion among Trolls. After the collapse of the Troll Kingdom, most of the dispersed forces on the Giant Plains were annexed by him, including no fewer than ten Noble Giant Trolls.

Even though this guy is a result of two races not known for intelligence, his own intelligence is quite remarkable.

When Blood Gorge City, supported by the Conqueror’s Army, showed an unstoppable rise, he immediately led his tribe to migrate to the Giant Run Mountain Range, raising the banner of resistance to Blood Gorge City, gathering forces defeated or harmed by Blood Gorge City to strengthen himself.

After the Conqueror’s Army stirred up storms on the Giant Dragon Coast, he immediately colluded with the Eight City Alliance, extracting great benefits from them empty-handed.

The reason is simple: his Beast Demon Tribe will help the Eight City Alliance hold back Blood Gorge City on the Giant Plains, preventing them from continuing to grow here.

Just this alone leaves the Eight City Alliance unable to refuse.

Fully turning disadvantages into a favorable situation for his rise is not something just anyone can do.

"If you want war, I will give you war, Clan Leader Ulcruna. Do you believe that as soon as I give an order, your Beast Demon Tribe will be buried in the dust of history in less than three days?

Don’t think that hiding in the Giant Run Mountain Range keeps you safe from us. Are you sure the cave you hide in is sturdy enough to withstand the large-scale demolition of the Gnoll Tremor Bombs?"

Blood Claw knows well the strategy of hitting where it hurts most.

Currently, the resistance forces on the Giant Plains are led by Ulcruna, so there’s no need to bother with others. Just focusing on him will suffice; once he concedes, the remaining matters become simple.

How did you know our tribe is hiding in a cave?

Ulcruna, the Half-Beast Giant Troll, forcibly swallowed back this foolish question, recognizing that the opponent couldn’t be unaware of his schemes on the Giant Plains and Giant Dragon Coast. They must have conducted scouting on his tribe, perhaps even infiltrating spies.

With the large-scale expansion of the Conqueror Path, the once unobtrusive Gnoll Tremor Bombs have become well known.

These are powerful tools for breaking through mountains and rocks, especially in narrow caves, where they have extraordinary power. Once they cause a large-scale cave-in, even if the people inside aren’t crushed to death, they will be trapped alive.

From now on, those dark caves are no longer safe havens.

"If you have the ability, try it. Let’s see if your tribe will be sent into history, or if I will ensure you don’t return." Ulcruna was not one to be scared easily. If one threat or bluff could make him yield, then he need not be the clan leader of the Beast Demon Tribe. He might as well obediently be a slave for the Hobgoblins of Blood Gorge City, leading horses and herding cattle.

"Please calm down, Clan Leaders. We are here today to seek a chance for peaceful development. Winter is coming; continuing to fight will not bode well for either side. It would be better if we each took a step back and maintained the current status quo, each developing on our own, without engaging in conflict?"

"Clan Leader Haru speaks the truth. Continuing to fight is not beneficial for any of us. In contrast, those Humans to the north might take advantage of the situation. They have now formed an alliance, building their Regular Army on a large scale. Although they claim to oppose the Conqueror’s Army, we, as their closest neighbors on the Giant Plains, might become targets of their expansion if we’re not careful, especially with the convenience brought about by the Conqueror Path."

"I believe that the Conqueror Path is the source of calamity for our Giant Plains. For thousands of years, the Giant Plains have remained in our hands precisely because there was no human trade route here. Now that it’s here, the wealth belonging to our Giant Plains tribes is rapidly flowing out. This place will gradually fall under the control of those who fancy themselves as civilized races.
