Chapter 1337: Chapter 712: Melikai’s Big Move_2
Lord Virginia is currently considering creating a dedicated Dragon Oak Dream Realm Lower City District for the Gnoll community, essentially a Gnoll-exclusive zone filled with countless tunnels and caverns, even the work structure will adopt the mining mode that Gnolls are familiar with.
Do not assume there are no mines to excavate in the Dragon Oak Dream Realm. This is a True Illusion Realm, where dreams and reality overlap intricately. Here, the only limit is your imagination, and today’s impossibilities may become tomorrow’s achievements.
It is entirely feasible for Gnolls to mine within the dream realm and simultaneously affect the material world, thereby gaining the life they desire while creating value in the real world—a win-win scenario.
Once the Forest Queen grants her recognition, a part of her essence will flow into the nature of these Wilderness Kobolds, allowing them to rival Kulturmak.
That’s right—not overpowering, but rivaling.
Do not underestimate this Gnoll God of the Race. He possesses Intermediate Divine Power, no less potent than the Forest Queen.
This demonstrates how prosperous the Gnoll race is within the Multiverse.
For Gaven, this outcome is ideal. If the Gnolls fully aligned with the Forest Queen and transformed into an entirely new Fae Race, it would be far from satisfactory.
The reason lies in Kulturmak—the Gnolls and their god hold things that Gaven still has use for, particularly their mastery over mining and traps.
The hardworking mining nature of the Gnolls originates from Kulturmak.
Gaven plans to deftly manipulate this Balance: if Kulturmak’s divine influence needs to be amplified, most Gnolls will remain in the Material Plane; if the Forest Queen’s divine role is prioritized, they will be sent to the Dragon Oak Mother Tree to be immersed in and infused with Natural Forces.
In conclusion, the Gnolls of the Dragon Oak Mother Tree will no longer feel isolated. They will integrate completely into the world there.
As everything fell into place, the Forest Queen’s deep and resonant voice reverberated: "Corruption, degeneration, decay... These dark forces have inflicted endless pain upon nature and its inhabitants.
For far too long, we have passively waited, silently endured. The time has come for us to raise our voices and proclaim ’no’ to darkness, evil, and decay.
Today, we will raise the banner of counterattack, declaring war on all darkness, degeneration, and evil within the forest. We will heal our homeland; we will banish the shadows and malice.
Today, I will reform my guardianship forces. All Treants and Tree Spirits will form the Heart of the Tree Church. Your mission is to protect and heal—defend our forests from further destruction and restore what was injured. Queen Arosh Radanaxi shall ascend as the Great Druid of the Heart of the Tree, leading you forward."
All Priests and Druids will form the Branches. Your role is Balance—balancing the relationship between the forest and other Sage Races, pursuing paths of peace and harmonious development. You will expand the doctrine of ’Unity in Balance,’ teaching the myriad aspects of life to the world. However, remember not to overlook the essence of nature’s active growth. Gaven Nort will serve as your Pathfinder and Guide."
All Rangers will form the Needleleaf. You are the arrows that pierce the forest’s enemies. You are responsible for chasing them down, driving them away, punishing those who desecrate the forest, and justly reckoning with those who cruelly hunt the wild. Virginia Avar Madeline will uphold her oath with actions."
Gaven was profoundly shocked by Melikai’s grand plan.
He couldn’t help but marvel: none of these True Gods are lightweights, not even those born with the proverbial golden spoon—their mastery of situational manipulation is unparalleled.
Historically, Melikai’s Church lacked a formal divine hierarchy. Leadership came collectively from its most seasoned members, a structure similar to the Harpist Alliance, where numerous small groups led by Druids, Priests, and Rangers formed a network of interconnected intelligence-sharing. In times of need, they cooperate to achieve the Church’s goals.
The advantage of such an alliance lies in its flexibility in localized situations. They each fulfill their duties, overseeing their respective stretches of forest, with minimal interference between groups.
However, when confronted with major events, their response is often delayed—particularly in dealing with last year’s turbulence caused by All Gods.
Before they could unite, the gods had already returned to their thrones.
The Forest Queen had long harbored the ambition to consolidate her Church and had already begun preparations, lacking only the ideal opportunity.
Now, Gaven and his allies delivered the blade into her hands, and she did not hesitate to strike.
What truly surprised Gaven and his allies was how the Forest Queen integrated them—outsiders like Gaven and Lord Virginia—into her plans. Although they were not directly appointed to high positions like Radanaxi, she granted them prestigious honorary titles.
These honorary titles will afford them significant authority within Melikai’s Church. At the very least, anyone encountering Gaven in the future will respectfully address him as ’Pathfinder’ or ’Guide,’ attentively listening to his counsel and teachings. If his request aligns with their beliefs and principles, they will spare no effort to assist him.
Do not underestimate this status—it is not limited to the Tree Spirit Kingdom of Arosh alone. The Forest Queen’s voice has already blended into the wind and the woods, and soon it will echo throughout the entire realm. All her followers, and the creatures of the forest, will come to know this decree. It is an oracle.
