Chapter 1093: Chapter 631: Accumulate Thickly and Emerge Thinly
Gaven is not a dedicated Sacrificer like Katherine who serves solely for the expansion of the Goddess of Strategy’s faith.
Rather, he integrates the expansion of his faith into his own development, as with this Conqueror Army, seizing the initiative to strike a deadly blow to his enemies and reaping ample benefits before anything else.
It’s not just about developing for the sake of faith expansion, but using faith expansion to serve his own development, complementing each other for a truly comprehensive binding and a win-win situation.
"Since you already have a meticulous plan, then leave everything to you." The Goddess of Strategy decides not to interfere with Gaven’s plan.
Because when she gets involved, the plan becomes fixed, and she can foresee the outcome at a glance.
But if the plan is entirely left to this new God’s Chosen, it might yield a result that would even astonish her, the Goddess of Planning, like the Conqueror Army he leads, which has already exceeded her initial expectations.
And all of this originates from the Force of Destiny that shrouds him, a force so strong that even she has to take note; through this increasingly powerful force, he is altering many things that were once considered fated. At least her own destiny has now taken an unforeseen path.
She is not only unangered by this but enjoys it immensely. Any plan or destiny, if transparent at first glance, would become very dull over time; only the unknown brings surprise and endless possibilities.
"Alright," Gaven chooses to stop there, for this matter is currently just a concept; to execute it requires a great deal of preparatory work and planning. There are many things the Goddess of Strategy cannot meddle with because her intervention could complicate matters, better that she stays up in the heavens and awaits the outcome of events.
"This is the reward you deserve. Once I finish the clean-up work here, we will talk about the division of the other spoils of war." The Incarnation of the Goddess tosses an object to Gaven and then turns to address the puzzled Blood Plunderers loudly, "Kneel, offer me your loyalty and faith. If you’re willing to become the Guardian of Planning Plunder and Destruction, I will assist you in truly mastering the power within your bodies, otherwise, even if my Believers do not lay hands on you, it won’t be long before you perish as the transient strength within your bodies burns out."
The Blood Plunderers have a heaven-defying survival ability amidst chaos, with half of them managing to survive the onslaught of the retreating monsters, and they are exceptionally strong.
As Gaven and Katherine lead the Transcendent Mixed Forces Brigade back from the front lines of the rout, they have already gathered together to form a desperate resistance, the Blood Plunderer Brigade.
Under the immense pressure of the Transcendent Mixed Forces Brigade, these Blood Plunderers have no choice but to start cooperating with each other, and they do so quite well, after all, they are not exclusive Sacrificers to The Plunderer, with many originally coming from the Hobgoblins who are adept at coordination.
When they begin to share the damage amongst themselves, Gaven and his companions find this stubborn resistance difficult to eradicate, so when the Goddess of Strategy sent Gaven reinforcements, they were employing a skinning tactic, peeling them off bit by bit.
When the Incarnation of Plunderer Karazgos was forcefully obliterated, and even a portion of the Divine Position of Plunder and Destruction was forcibly stripped away, these Blood Plunderers did not immediately give in and kneel to surrender, but they fell into confusion, having lost their reason to fight.
"We are the guardians of Plunderer Kallargos, surrender is for cowards, we are the powerful, we will never submit."
"You are just a lowly thief; someday, The Plunderer will reclaim what belongs to him."
Many of the Blood Plunderers rejected the Goddess of Strategy’s offer of surrender with loud denunciation. Before their transformation into Blood Plunderers, eighty percent were followers of Karazgos, adhering to The Plunderer’s philosophy of the survival of the fittest, and scorning the act of surrender, even as their lives were reaching their end.
"Divine Power Deprivation." The Goddess of Strategy didn’t waste words with these people, pointing her Longsword, the blood on those most vociferous Blood Plunderers wildly surged into the air, not only pulling away their Blood Cloaks but also threads of blood emerging directly from their bodies, converging into a giant blood mass in the sky.
"Ah... you cannot do this, this Divine Power was bestowed upon me by Plunderer Kallargos, you cannot take it away... return my power to me."
"It’s impossible, impossible, the Divine Power in our bodies belongs to The Plunderer, not you, how can you deprive us of it? Could it be that you have truly acquired The Plunderer’s Divine Position, and can manipulate his Divine Power?"
"Don’t... ah... don’t..."
"Kill me, quickly kill me... ah... kill me..."
"Spare me, spare me, I am willing to convert and worship you, please spare... me..."
The deprivation of Plunderer’s Divine Power is clearly a very painful affair, for this power has already fused with their flesh and Strength; as it is stripped away, it naturally carries pieces of their own along, essentially draining their blood alive; this act is undoubtedly more agonizing than death.
The Will of the Goddess of Strategy is extraordinarily resolute; even when cries for mercy emerge from the Blood Plunderers, she doesn’t stop for a moment, continuing until every drop of blood in their bodies is completely exhausted.
