Chapter 1007: Chapter 602: Deploying Troops and Generals_2

"Abyssal Jackalweres? Bone Claw? I hadn’t expected to be reunited with old friends, it seems Arms really did exchange the method of crafting Bone Claws with the Ghost Witch Assembly of Far Sea Marsh," Gaven continued to press, "Do you know anything about the fog that shrouds the Far Sea Marsh?"

"I haven’t figured that out yet," the Jackalwere Monk shook his head, "One thing is for certain, the fog is not a natural occurrence, it is closely related to the Legendary Ghost Witch Gathering. They regard it as their greatest secret, guarding it so closely that even their most trusted confidants are not easily told."

"This issue is not of much use to us this time, let’s set it aside for now," Gaven suggested, "You have had a trying time recently, Master. Why not stay here and recuperate for a while before making other plans?"

Though the Jackalwere Monk was not skin and bones, he was considerably leaner than the average jackalwere, indicating that in order to remain hidden, he had sustained himself in a state of low intake and low expenditure for a long time, at no small cost.

"I’ve lived here for half a year and am fairly familiar with many of the things around. If the general doesn’t mind, I’d like to be allowed to sit in. I might be able to offer some advice on some matters, and there will be plenty of opportunities to rest later." Driven by a sacred duty, this Jackalwere Monk couldn’t find peace until he had destroyed all Jackalweres corrupted by Abyssal Powers. It was his utmost driving force for survival.

"Then, Master, stay and observe," Gaven allowed the Jackalwere Monk to stay with ample trust, a trust not based on a knowledge of character but on the binding power of the Milestone of Destiny. His emotions were locked in as firmly as those of the Pikespirits in Nectar Village.

Gaven took a deep breath, his eyes blazing with spirit as he swept over everyone present and declared impassionedly, "The final piece of the puzzle for this battle is now in place, and the situation is entirely in our favor. Now, we begin drafting the final battle plan.

General Susie, you lead the Pitfall Brigade to commence a Search immediately. Find the best stone materials and once the location is determined, the whole army will move there and mine with all our might."

These Gnoll Trap Makers were the best fit for the task, whether it was for scouting or mining.

Gaven had no worries about this matter; the Stormhorn Mountains were not plentiful in many things, but they certainly did have plenty of rocks.

As long as they found the right mining spot, relying on their manpower, resources, and daily Spell usage, it would only take two to three days to mine tens of thousands of tons of stone material, filling up all the spare Conqueror Army carts.

Although the Conqueror Army possessed more than 2000 war chariots and cargo carts of various sizes, even in dire efforts to empty them, it was impossible to haul enough stone in one go to build a bridge over five hundred meters across the river.

These stones were more like a primer for divine Sacrifices, used to demonstrate one’s sincerity. When the time came, the real structure would rely mainly on the mental faith provided by the Conqueror Army and the response from Mount Dakor.

"At your command," Susie stood and accepted the order.

"Chief of Staff Kellysha, immediately issue orders to gather all personnel proficient in bridge design and construction from across the army, forming a team of experts. I want a complete bridge blueprint within a day. I will personally lead the team, in fact, gather not only the actual experts but also those gifted in imagination. After all, we are not building an ordinary bridge but a Bridge of Faith constructed in cooperation with the gods; we must dare to dream," ordered Gaven, issuing the second command.

He was now well-versed in collaborating with All Gods; rather than leaving everything to the God of the Road, he preferred to take charge himself, producing a ready-made bridge blueprint, ingraining the idea in the troops and civilians of the Conqueror Army, and using it to attract belief. Not only was gathering faith easier this way, but the resulting bridge would be at least eighty percent similar, also simplifying the drafting of a more comprehensive battle plan.

"At your command," Kellysha stood and complied, although she hadn’t fully grasped Gaven’s battle intentions yet, it did not hinder her execution. Keeping up with his train of thought was not an easy task.

"General Darren, General Carl, lead the Limb Severing Vanguard and the Pioneers to this bridge construction site and build the road with all your might. Not a double-lane but a four-lane path, wide enough to accommodate four Tower War Chariots abreast," Gaven pointed on the military map of the Goblin Margins, drawing a somewhat winding Path.

Of course, this spot was on the Wild Border River but not near the middle; it was tilted toward Far Sea Marsh.

From Tun Marsh to Far Sea Marsh, the total flow distance was only about a hundred kilometers, even shorter in a straight line at just over sixty kilometers.

This bridge-building spot was an inward cusp towards the Stormhorn Mountains, just over twenty kilometers from Far Sea Marsh, while the distance from Tun Marsh to this point was as much as fifty kilometers, and this was as the crow flies. If they followed the riverbank of Wild Border River, it would be even more circuitous and farther.

The purpose was self-evident, to divide the enemy’s forces into three groups, especially the troops of the Lizard Queen in Tun Marsh. Hunkering down in Tun Marsh was not feasible; by the time the battle was over, the Conqueror Army would have already crossed the river, and they might not even have left Tun Marsh.

The best strategy was that as soon as the Conqueror Army set out from Eagle Peak Town, they had to march out of Tun Marsh, heading to their river crossing ambush point on Wild Border River.
