Chapter 1001: Chapter 600 Coincidentally_2

Before, she had unexpectedly indulged in unprecedented speculation because of one hypothesis from Gaven, and her heart didn’t entirely resist it. In the past, this would have been impossible.

This sort of thing, exceeding her understanding, was naturally categorized by her as magic. After parting with Gaven, her gradually stabilizing emotions made her even more convinced of this point; however, emotions themselves are the most magical form of magic.

Identity, appearance, demeanor, and even his deeds were all important parts of who he was, but the Crown Princess, owing to her unique upbringing and environment, had a different definition of an ideal partner that was intertwined with the interests of the Komeer Kingdom rather than purely personal love. She probably had a strong reaction to Gaven for this reason—if it was purely magic, they would have experienced it upon first meeting, and not through the exchange of information and deepened interactions.

Princess Tainalasta might need more time to thoroughly understand this point.

Or rather, she had now completely set aside what was beyond her expertise and started with what she was good at, such as redefining strategies against the Conqueror Army. Before that, what she most urgently needed to know was the true strength of the Conqueror Army to assess their chances of victory in the ongoing battle.

Yalusai had no idea about the many complexities in his Sister Wang’s mind. He excitedly shared his recent observations from his time in the Conqueror Army with the Crown Princess, "They have around six thousand regular Professionals, plus three Transcendent corps, which include fifty members of the Golia Brigade, a hundred Hobgoblin Giants, and a Treant Brigade of over fifty Treants."

"Although those six thousand Professionals have initiated their professional templates, their overall Professional Level is not high, averaging between two and three. Their Transcendent commanders and mages are also poorly equipped, not even one-third as much as the Purple Dragon Legion. If they face us head-on, they cannot withstand our two-thousand-strong Purple Dragon Legion."

"Normal," the Crown Princess nodded in understanding. "After all, theirs is a newly formed corps. It is already quite remarkable that they all are Professionals. There are very few forces in the world that can withstand a frontal charge from our Purple Dragon Legion. However, I have heard that the followers of Lady Strategy have swooped down in large numbers and joined their ranks, which should enhance their capability to adapt on the battlefield significantly. Plus, they are equipped with many special war chariots and are best in defensive warfare."

Yalusai nodded, "This is exactly their greatest advantage. Their ability to coordinate among themselves in battle has reached an unimaginable level. When their Heavy Cavalry Legion prepares to charge, the other wagon camps react immediately, transforming the formation a second before their arrival to best suit the cavalry’s power. Other Corps then adjust accordingly, as if part of a single organism. Once they entered the Goblin Margins, whenever they had leisure, these corps would perform such cooperative drills, which have now reached a staggering level."

"This implies they have a substitute for the Wind Transmission Spell, a way to rapidly communicate on the battlefield," the Crown Princess mused. "And those followers of Lady Strategy are inherently adept at adapting to battlefield conditions on the fly. They surely will not forsake their advantage but will further exploit it, especially in a multifaceted battle involving numerous civilians, where they must rely on wagon fortresses to fight defensive battles."

"We know it, and likely so do their enemies. They probably won’t give them the chance to form wagon fortresses," Yalusai expressed with a worried look.

"That will depend on their use of tactics," Princess Tainalasta’s eyes sparkled with a light called wisdom. "Come, follow me to the war room. Let’s simulate and see what tactics we ought to deploy under the same circumstances to ensure our invincibility."

Before Lady Strategy’s divine enthronement, the Felen Continent did not lack strategic tactics—it’s just that there was no clear demarcation in terms of religious affiliations, and these war concepts were not explicitly stated. Military strategies belonged under the name of the God of War, with each country and power having their command strategies; among them, Komeer Kingdom was relatively the most robust, not only possessing huge military maps but also sand table maps.

This sand table map in the High Corner Fort represented the Goblin Margins, five meters wide and ten meters long, with all features proportionately miniaturized, occupying an entire hall.

Using a command staff, Yalusai placed a red knight chess piece on the sand table—this piece symbolized Lady Strategy and also represented the Conqueror Army. He explained, "The Conqueror Army has already reached here, Eagle Peak Town. They will rest here for a few days, draw up a more complete plan, then cut through the gap between Tun Marsh and Far Sea Marsh, and enter the High Road."

Even though High Corner Fort was the western gate of Komeer, it was not their westernmost territory. Eagle Peak Town was, located at the additional tail of the Wasteland Path, embedded within the Goblin Margins, thirty kilometers northwest of High Corner Fort, atop a spur of the Stormhorn Mountains, overlooking both Tun Marsh and Far Sea Marsh.
