Chapter 357 - Chapter 357 Teacher 357 invited us for a meal

Chapter 357: Teacher 357 invited us for a meal. Chapter 357: Teacher 357 invited us for a meal. Teacher Tan said he would treat the people in the group to dinner tonight.

Everyone originally thought they were going to a nearby food stall for a casual meal.

As they walked out of the hospital entrance, Tan Kelin suddenly said, “Call a taxi.”

Where are we going to eat?

“Jinyu Restaurant.” Tan Kelin glanced at his watch and asked Liu Chengran, “Did you make a reservation there?”

“Made one, made one,” Liu Chengran replied.

It turned out that Teacher had already arranged where to have the dinner party, and it was not going to be at an ordinary food stall.

“Teacher Tan is really splurging tonight,” Luo Yanfen whispered into Xie Wanying’s ear.

Xie Wanying also thought that perhaps Teacher Tan had some good news, otherwise, why would he suddenly spend so much to treat everyone to a meal.

It was said that there were no parking spaces left at the restaurant, so including Tan Kelin, everyone decided to take taxis instead, as it would be faster. The dining location was actually not far from Guoxie, about a fifteen-minute drive, so there was no need to worry too much about traffic jams or long commutes.

After taking several taxis, they arrived at the restaurant. It seemed to be a very popular place, with diners coming and going at the entrance. The environment was elegant and comfortable, and the customer service staff was warm and attentive. It was a higher-end restaurant.

The welcoming waiter saw them and immediately came forward to greet them. Since they had a reservation, they were led directly to the innermost private room.

The group sat down, and the waiter brought over a few menus.

“Order whatever you want,” Liu Chengran called out to everyone, “Dr. Tan said today to order whatever you want, don’t be shy.”

“Is Teacher Tan celebrating something?” Li Wenhao said with a grin, “Let us congratulate Teacher Tan in advance.”

“What celebration?” Liu Chengran glanced over them and said, “You three are finishing your rotation next week and will be transferring to other places. Teacher Tan is taking this opportunity to treat you to a meal.”

The three senior Ph.D. students were pleasantly surprised, originally thinking that their teaching advisor didn’t care much for them, harboring some grievances; their faces showed panic as they repeatedly said, “Thank you, Teacher Tan!”

“You’re welcome,” replied Tan Kelin in his cool tone, flipping through the menu with a finger, and suddenly glanced at someone under his bangs, “Didn’t you want to say something about delicacies from land and sea?”

“Here, Xie Wanying, there’s salmon sashimi, roast duck, shrimp, and crab. I wonder if that satisfies your craving for delicacies from land and sea.”

Facing the menu pushed towards her by Teacher Sun, Xie Wanying regretted her sarcastic remark and pleaded with the veteran professors, “I’ve never dined here before, so I don’t know what’s good. You all order. I can take care of eating.”

“You’re responsible for eating!?” The group discovered yet another shockingly bold statement from her.

“Alright, alright, you take care of eating,” several teachers in the group laughed to the point of leaning over sideways, thinking it was almost unheard of for a girl to volunteer to take care of eating, as most girls are often afraid of getting fat.

Someone passing by the corridor outside the private room glanced inside and suddenly discovered a new world, shouting, “There’s a seat here!”

All the people in the private room turned their heads in surprise to see who it was.

“You have a seat here, we’ll join your table,” said the young man leaning against the doorframe, with his right hand casually tucked into his pocket, the dim corridor light framing his charming, jovial face.

“Zhou Junpeng, when did you get here?” Sun Yubo asked in surprise.

The others were just as surprised to see someone from the thoracic surgery department in this place.

“I counted, there are a total of twelve seats here, but there are a few chairs over there. You’ve taken nine seats and left three empty. We are six people, so just adding three chairs will be enough,” Zhou Junpeng counted and calculated with his finger on the chairs in the private room.
