Chapter 100: Hate Your Hands (r-18)
As Aiden poured the soup with the ladle, he couldn’t help but notice the intensity of Serena’s gaze, her eyes tracking every movement he made. The sensation of being watched so closely caused his concentration to waver, and for a moment, he almost spilled the scalding soup onto his hand. Luckily, before disaster could strike, Serena’s voice broke through his distraction, her tone light yet laced with concern. "Do you hate your hand or something?"
Aiden blinked, momentarily confused, as he carefully set the hot pot down on the countertop, turning his attention fully to her. "What?"
"Well, earlier, you managed to hurt yourself so badly that your poor hand was out of commission for days on end. And now, it looks like you’ve gone and hurt yourself again because your knuckles are all bruised and swollen. Plus, just now, you were about to pour boiling soup all over your hand. So, tell me, what’s got you so distracted?"
Aiden sighed and looked at her, before turning away. He was distracted alright. And for all the wrong reasons that he was not willing to discuss with her. So, he did the best thing, he could under the curcumstances, he turned away, instead of giving her an answer.
"Grab the bread and drink up. I’ll be drinking later."
However, before he could move away, she stepped in front of him, blocking his way," Where are you going?"
"Serena, please move out of my way." Aiden said slowly but she shook her head, "Nope. Not doing it. So, tell me why are you so distracted? You’ve been distracted since you returned. What is it? Come on come on. You know you can tell me? Did someone steal your brain when you were away?"
"Steal my brain?" Aiden asked in confusion to which she grinned," Considering the fact that you seem to have no heart when it comes to strangers, that seems the only plausible cause."
In the next minute, before Serena could react or even understand what had happened, she’d been picked up and pushed against the wall," Is that what you think? I have no heart? Hmm?"
Serena blinked as he caught her wrist and brought it to his chest and barked at her, "Do you feel my hearbeat now?"
Before she could say more, Aiden had already placed her back down on the floor and stepped away," I’m sorry. I’ve just had a bad day and lashed out at you."
Serena stared at him but said nothing. He hadn’t hurt her but he’d definitely scared her so she was not going to be taking his apology or even offering anything. No questions and no comfort. She glanced at his injury wondering if that was something part of the reason for his bad day.
She took her place, having no intention of abandoning her food just because of his weird mood, but truthfully, she could feel her own hands trembling as she picked up the soup spoon and brought it to her lips. Unexpectedly, as she moved to take a sip, her hands shook and some of the soup spilled past her lips, onto her chin and her clothes. Hurriedly, she dabbed a tissue at her shirt and chin, feeling even more self conscious as she tried to eat. Dam*! He was trying to give her indigestion.
Unknown to her, her reaction had stirred something within him that had been battling to come out.
Aiden’s gaze was riveted on her.. or specifically at the spot where the soup had spilled. His eyes had followed the path of the spill, the way the droplets clung to her lips before soaking into the fabric of her shirt. The mundane act of eating had taken on an entirely different dimension—one that had him riveted, unable to tear his gaze away.
He watched her fingers fumble a bit and knew she was as aware of the energy crackling between them, as he was. When she tried to take another sip, more of the soup spilled, trickling over her bottom lip and down the curve of her throat.
This time, he couldn’t stop himself, unable to tear away the gaze. The moment her hand moved to dab it away, he caught her wrist and leaned forward. Catching the drops with his tongue as he stopped it before it reached her clothing. He traced the path, with his tongue, from her neck to her lips. He paused at her lower lip, the place where the soup spoon had touched and gently licked her bottom lip.
The taste of her, rattled his senses and he sucked on that lip, groaning a bit. Her arms came around him then and unable to stop himself, he deepened the kiss, plundering her mouth, wanting to conquer it. Her tongue met his slowly at first, tentatively but soon, he could feel her kissing him back...
Stepping back, he looked at her carefully, wanting more. Slowly, carefully, he placed his hands on her thighs as he knelt down in front of her, spreading her legs so that his shoulders would fit in. He placed her knees on his shoulder and leaned forward.. His movements were slow but he knew what he intended. Before she could understand his intentions, he ripped the delicate material of her shirt apart, letting the buttons fly off.
Her legs on his back shoulder tightened, her heels digging into his back as he leaned forward, kissing her belly, peppering it with soft kisses before he moved upward, towards the lace encased twin peaks...
Catching the hook with his teeth, he tugged at it, letting the two edges fall apart as he slowly uncovered his treasure... pushing aside the lacy fabric, he took her into his mouth and sucked hard. She moaned and the sound reverbated all over him, driving him to want more. He sucked harder, before letting go, a pop sounding in the room and looked down at his work.. Her ni*ple glistening from his ministrations as it stood erect. Casually, he moved ot the other side..
