FALLEN ANGEL: MARRIED TO THE DEMON KING
Chapter 62: THE NO LONGER ANGRY DEMON QUEEN (1)

Chapter 62: THE NO LONGER ANGRY DEMON QUEEN (1)

Arella was looking through the designs, this time the one avoiding his eyes. "Can you not keep a secret?" She asked, "did you have to go all the way to avoid me?"

"Well, I knew I would have spilled the secret if I was around you. That would have spoiled the surprise." He sighed, "Although I guess that the surprise is spoiled now irregardless."

"Okay, fair point." She finally flipped to the last design. "They are all beautiful."

King Varziel’s ears perked slightly at her words despite himself. "You think so?" His voice was soft, almost cautious.

Arella glanced up at him, her lips twitching into a small, reluctant smile. "Yes, you dolt. They are very beautiful. The fact that you even tried to design something so meaningful for me--" her words trailed off, and she swallowed hard as an unexpected wave of emotion washed over her. "It is thoughtful. I cannot believe you would go through so much effort."

King Varziel rubbed the back of his neck, a faint blush dusting his cheeks. "You deserve a crown that reflects who you are. I did not marry you to make you into a demon."

Arella laughed, "I guess you still aren’t going to tell me why you asked for me specifically to be your wife, are you?"

He gave her a smile. "I already told you, my queen, you are going to have to work harder than that to get me to reveal my secrets. My lips are sealed." He made a zipping motion over his lips and threw away an imaginary key.

"Sad." She made her best cute face, fluttering her eyes at him in the process. "Can I not even get one measly clue?"

"No." King Varziel looked away from her, as if just looking at her would make him reveal all of his secrets.

"Ugh fine." She looked back at the designs before finally placing one of them in front of him. "This crown is what I will wear on my coronation."

King Varziel blinked once.

Then once more.

It was as if everything was moving in slow motion as the realization settled upon his features. "You mean..."

"Of course, with a few tweaks here and there, it is going to be the perfect coronation day crown. We need one for you as well." Arella rambled on, not noticing that the king’s brain had stopped working. "Although I do have to warn you, if you pull something like this again, I really will smash your head into a table."

King Varziel was quiet as Arella went through the other designs one last time, as she murmured to herself.

Then, a smile lifted his lips up. "Please do not smash my head into a table." His words caused Arella to look up from the designs. "I am still a king after all; how would it look if I went into a meeting with a black eye?"

"I shall take your woes into consideration."

"How about I make it up to you, my Queen Confidence?" he promised, reaching for her hand. Arella had to place the remaining designs onto the table to take his outstretched hand. Now that her anger at him had dissipated, she realized that the heat she had ignored when she walked into the room had bubbled over and reached a tipping point.

She got off of the table and walked around it to the side where he sat. "I think I know some way that you can make it up to me," she squeezed herself between him and the table, and he had to move his chair behind slightly to accommodate her wings.

"Oh really?" His voice was low, and it sent a delicious shiver down her spine and all the way to the tips of her feathers.

She smiled, "Yes really."

His eyes gleamed with interest as she straddled him, her hips over his. In that position, she felt much smaller than him, which she technically was seeing as he towered over every male that she knew.

At that moment, she wanted to seduce the demon that was her husband, this sweet demon who had gone out of his way to design her a crown, even going as far as being willing to incur her wrath over being ignored.

She would blame it on the bond later.

The aching for him was the biggest factor, of course, but this time, for the first time since they got married, she did not feel as if she was being carried by the flow. She had some semblance of control over herself, and all she wanted to do was lick him all over and drag her mouth over his skin.

She smashed their lips together to kiss him hard, and he responded with just as much fervor. "This is not how I thought you would want me to make it up to you," he muttered in between kisses.

"It is also not what I had in mind, but I think that it would make my anger at you reduce even if a little." She answered as she moved her hand down his chest, glad that he was only wearing a button-up tunic. She made quick work of opening the buttons and pushed the fabric aside to expose his tan skin and muscled chest.

"You’re so pretty to look at," she murmured as she bit down on his neck. "I am a lucky angel."

"You are the beautiful one," his grip on her hips was tight, as if he were trying hard not to lose control. "I thought you said we can only be intimate in our chambers."

She moved lower, placing a palm over his growing erection. "This is technically your chambers, your study chamber, but yours irregardless," she was already breathless, "and it is night; I do not have to fear a General walking in on us."

"Fear is only part of the thrill." His voice was raspy at this point as Arella rubbed one of her hands over his crotch and the other over his skin.

Arella laughed and gave him a soft kiss on his cheek. His erection seemingly grew larger underneath her palm, and it gave her some sort of thrill knowing that this demon was so weak under her.

Her mouth watered at the thought of giving him pleasure, and just the thought of him in her mouth got her wet with excitement.

It was almost as if, at that moment, she would die if she did not fulfill what her mind desired.
