Chapter 950 - 945 Awakening I

Chapter 950: Chapter 945 Awakening I

"Hehehehe..." The woman cackled, seemingly unconcerned about the injury on her head.

She parted her long hair and smiled at Lin Xin.

The face, almost entirely decayed, left only two eyeballs moving, both filled with dense death and despair.

"Not going to speak?"

Lin Xin lifted her up with one hand, dangling her in front of him.

"Aren’t... you afraid of me?"

The woman laughed maniacally, as foul-smelling pus continuously dripped down her body.

Crack!

In an instant, a black light flashed.

Lin Xin’s entire mouth suddenly expanded to dozens of times its size, and he bit forward fiercely.

The woman’s upper body was directly halved, leaving only the lower half dropping to the ground, powerless in the hallway.

"Then die if you won’t talk."

Lin Xin wiped his mouth.

Another flash of black light, and the mouth’s shadow swiftly cut through, leaving no trace of the remaining half of the body.

He walked slowly forward along the passage.

Though his steps appeared slow, his speed was surprisingly fast.

For each step Lin Xin took, his strength far surpassed that of an ordinary person.

So with each step, a massive momentum carried him forward swiftly.

Darkness once again engulfed all the places he had traversed.

Soon, he encountered another person.

It was another woman. A woman with long hair wrapped in a black scarf.

She looked to have a good figure with a voluptuous form and a slender waist, her long black hair draped down, revealing a pair of bright almond eyes with a slight arc.

When Lin Xin saw her, she was standing by the left wall of the passage, seemingly studying the scratches and marks on it intently.

Upon hearing the approaching footsteps, the woman turned her head and frowned at the approaching Lin Xin.

"Are you the one who came in?"

Lin Xin gave her a slight smile.

"Can you tell me how to proceed here? I want to find the core fragment of this place."

The woman’s tightly knitted brows gradually relaxed.

"Do you... think I’m beautiful?"

The scarf around her neck naturally fell, revealing the lower half of her face.

Shockingly, the entire lower half of her face was occupied by a sharp, bloody mouth. The corners extended to both ears, resembling a giant gash.

A strong sense of evil and malice emanated.

It seemed that if Lin Xin dared to give an unsatisfactory answer, some extremely dire consequence would arise.

"Beautiful?" Lin Xin suddenly burst into laughter.

"In my eyes, things are either tasty or not. Which do you think you are?"

"Do you think... I’m beautiful?" The woman with the gash advanced further toward him, her eyes showing a hint of madness and derangement.

Crack!

A flash of black light and mouth’s shadow. The hallway returned to silence.

Lin Xin gently pulled out a tissue and wiped the corner of his mouth.

"I don’t like disobedient people."

Discarding the tissue, he continued down the corridor.

"Big brother, will you play with me?"

Crack!

"I can’t find my earring, young man, can you..."

Crack!

"Living person! Fresh blood! Hahaha!"

Crack!

"Roar roar roar!!"

Crack....

Lin Xin glanced at the empty passage ahead, whereas the one-eyed monster that was roaring furiously earlier had already gone into his stomach, human and blood alike.

For him, there was nothing he couldn’t digest. Everything, be it matter or energy, could be devoured to bolster the density of his body.

As he progressed, an unknown number of strange creatures were directly consumed by him.

After devouring hundreds of creatures, the hallway finally came to an end.

At the end of the dark, damp corridor was a gigantic pipeline resembling a faucet.

The faucet might as well have been a magnified version of an ordinary switch by dozens of times, standing over one person tall and several meters wide.

Standing before the faucet, Lin Xin reached out and pointed slightly.

Screee....

The switch on the faucet rotated, emitting a harsh metallic grinding sound.

With the rotation of the switch, the entire corridor, and even the entire mountain, began to tremble and shake slightly.

A subtle rumbling started and grew more intense by the second.

"The space is tearing."

Lin Xin keenly sensed the anomaly.

"If all those monstrous spirits before were Guardians, then this door should be the final line of defense."

He could distinctly feel the resistance in his hand increasing.

Boom!

It sounded like the shattering of a glass cup.

The faucet exploded directly, and the wall at the corridor’s end collapsed.

Revealing a dark space tinged with a purple fog behind it.

At the center of the space was a stone pillar floating.

Everywhere else was pitch black, with only a faint glow illuminating the area around the stone pillar.

On the stone pillar seemed to be something placed, but on one side, a large black one-eyed dragon was crouched.

The one-eyed dragon, visible only in its illuminated right eye, was entirely black, as if merging into the darkness.

It only lifted its head and opened its eye when Lin Xin opened the passage.

Hiss!!

The massive creature let out a roar like a snake’s. It seemed to be threatening Lin Xin to leave.

It was clear that it could sense the unassailable nature of the visitor.

"Let’s see what I’ve found?" Lin Xin stepped closer to the stone pillar. "A little lizard? A small bug?"

Hiss!!

The one-eyed dragon retreated in slight panic yet persisted in attempting to intimidate Lin Xin, preventing his advance.

Ignoring the massive creature, Lin Xin went directly to the stone pillar, inspecting its contents.

It was a gelatinous metallic substance shimmering with seven colors.

Only palm-sized, but it subtly emanated transparent distortions around it.

"Is this the Millennium Fragment?"

Lin Xin reached out to grasp the fragment.

"Stop."

Clang!

In the darkness, a crimson beam precisely struck the space between Lin Xin and the fragments, stopping him from reaching out.

******************

Chen Feiyang and Bailong Su dashed left and right through the mechanical forest.

One by one, metal trees snapped and fell.

Bailong Su seemed to be like hardened iron and bones, breaking anything he bumped into.

"Where was that strength you had earlier?" he asked in a low voice.

Bang!

He punched and broke off a protruding metal edge on the side. The shattered metal dust scattered with the force of the wind.

Chen Feiyang dodged clumsily, constantly in this embarrassing state.

Yet his movements and reactions were undeniably improving.

This progress was strange and incomprehensible. Although it was just an enhancement in technique, it seemed to amplify the absolute power gap between the two.

Bailong Su clearly sensed this oddity.

"It seems some force field is aiding you, amplifying you."

"Step aside. I don’t want to fight you."

Chen Feiyang gradually started to strike back.

He threw a punch, and it was as if his entire strength, under the amplification of his skills, instantly expanded several times over.

"See? Is this the strength that defeated Bai Feiniaoy?"

Bailong Su became increasingly excited.

"Will you move aside or not!?"

Chen Feiyang grew more furious, and his opportunities to counterattack became more frequent.

"Kill me, and I’ll let you pass!"

Bailong Su laughed heartily.

"You!!"

A trace of fierce energy gradually appeared in Chen Feiyang’s eyes.

A strange, thin silver mist began to spread from behind him.

"You brought this on yourself!"

His eyes suddenly turned completely silver-white.

********************

Inside Dujing Peak.

Lin Xin hadn’t had the chance to see who interrupted him when he immediately looked up into the distance.

"It’s Feiyang’s presence...."

A slight curve rose at the corner of his mouth.

"Finally appeared...."

He picked up the fragments.

Lin Xin turned and walked toward the passage direction.

"Put down the fragments."

The voice echoed again.

Ssshhh!

A scarlet beam struck hard in front of Lin Xin.

To be precise, the beam was originally aimed at him, but was blocked by an invisible force field, unable to get close.

At the same time, a tall silhouette blocked Lin Xin’s exit from the dark space.

"Thank you very much for leading me here. And helping me deal with so many guardian creatures. It must have been exhausting, right?"

The newcomer was a wild-looking burly man with messy hair, carrying a gigantic wild boar head on his back.

"Put down the fragments, and I can pretend you were never here."

"The fragments are mine."

In the darkness, an elderly man in a black robe slowly revealed himself.

"In such a small space, I advise you not to think about resisting, Wild Boar King."

"Cloud Demon." The Wild Boar King’s face turned solemn as he steadied himself and thought carefully.

"This fragment is big, we can divide it equally. Each gets a share. Of course, if you dare to poison us, don’t blame me for releasing the boars!"

"Perfect timing, let me see what the limits of a Breaker really are."

Lin Xin grabbed the fragment with one hand and suddenly reached towards Wild Boar King with the other.

"Heavy Armor!"

The Wild Boar King let out a low roar, and layers of pitch-black armor rapidly covered him.

The helmet of the armor was an enormous wild boar.

Lin Xin’s hand directly collided with the black armor.

Bang!

A ring of explosive airwaves burst open immediately.

Behind the seemingly simple appearance, Wild Boar King’s eyes widened suddenly.

His armor breeding equipment had the most powerful abilities of collision and recoil.

Anything that touched his body armor would receive a counterforce equal to the original attack.

But just at that moment.

He felt that the counterforce didn’t happen at all.

"You... just what are you...?!"

From the beginning, he felt like he overlooked something but couldn’t figure it out.

Now, he finally understood what he had neglected.

This man in front of him, knowing it would cause such trouble, why did he continue to venture deeper into Dujing Peak.

Could it be he didn’t know as a Breaker, he could never contend against the many Breakers of other organizations?

The Wild Boar King lowered his head, staring blankly at his abdomen.

There, unbeknownst to him, was a massive black hole.

"A Breaker, just a stronger Flying Shadow..."

Lin Xin looked disappointed, retracting his palm.

Boom!!

The whole body of Wild Boar King exploded suddenly, turning into countless blood splatters in the sky.

Not far away, Cloud Demon was also frightened. He had been planning to launch a sneak attack when the two started fighting.

He never imagined that Wild Boar King, without even using his strongest form, would be instantly killed.

"Breaker... you’re not a Breaker at all!! You’re a thousand-year..."

Crash!

A flash of black light.

All became quiet.

Lin Xin chewed a couple of times and spat out a black-purple centipede-shaped metallic piece.

This was Cloud Demon’s armor breeding entity.

"The energy concentration of a Breaker, equivalent to dozens of others, quite a gap. But that’s all there is."

Lin Xin estimated the energy gap, gaining some insight into the baseline of the original energy-user system.
