Chapter 864 - 859: Goodbye Again

Chapter 864: Chapter 859: Goodbye Again

"The Seventh Legion is destroyed! Completely wiped out! How is that possible!!?"

A fat nobleman touched the shattered Jade Pendant on his chest, screaming in a high-pitched voice.

"But Cahill is the Empire’s acknowledged Dragon Crown Realm Black Dragon Knight! Where is he? How can he allow this hornless maniac to run rampant like this!?"

"Lord Cahill is still out and hasn’t returned...."

A guard replied cautiously, with a bitter smile and a hint of fear.

"Damn it, damn it! Damn Cahill! Damn those heretic hornless ones! These lowly, lower-class swine-like hornless ones, they actually dare to rebel, they actually dare to rebel!?" The fat nobleman muttered angrily, on the verge of collapse.

"A martial artist of that level is already equivalent to a top-tier Dragon Crown Realm existence! How can these lower-class races have such a great power holder? This is simply unbelievable?!"

"This is just the most remote place of these heretics, having such a powerful existence of this level is indeed not normal."

Another young and handsome two-horned man spoke from another carriage not far away.

"Rhode, if you continue to be this agitated, the enemy doesn’t even need to kill you, your heart attack will claim your life first."

"I understand! It’s just...."

The fat nobleman clenched his fists tightly.

Rumble!

Suddenly, the sky turned gray and black.

It was as if an invisible dome blocked the blue sky.

Whoo....

A fierce wind raged, a dark enormous shadow of tens of thousands of meters swept over the heads of the people on the ground.

The group, including the fat nobleman, immediately noticed and hurriedly looked up.

In the sky, a gigantic Red Dragon was flapping its wings, stretching its long lizard-like neck, and casting a cold and ferocious glare downward.

On top of the Red Dragon’s head stood a strong woman dressed in dark golden armor.

She had long, coiled horns full of spiral patterns, standing at the dragon’s head, looking down solemnly, her golden hair fluttering with the wind.

On her back was a broad translucent giant sword.

"It’s Lord Cahill!!"

"Cahill has returned! Damn it, go kill that swine!"

"Cahill, you are the strongest! Kill these hornless ones who destroyed our homeland! All these heretical Golden Lotus Cult members should be sent to the gallows!!"

A wave of cheers erupted from the noblemen’s ranks below.

Cahill glanced down faintly but paid little heed.

Being born into poverty and rising from obscurity, she was often looked down upon by these nobles and was ostracized by the noble faction in the army.

She never expected these nobles would abandon their dignity and cheer for her. This was unthinkable in the past.

"Perhaps this time, it’s one of my opportunities to be accepted by the noble faction."

She muttered to herself internally.

"My Lords, who destroyed the city?" She projected her voice downward. The Dragon Spirit within her surged, producing the sound of terrifying tidal waves. It was the sound of the Dragon Spirit flowing and rubbing through her blood.

"It was those bastard swine of the Golden Lotus Cult! The hornless ones!"

"That hornless one is still waiting in the same place; he wants us to find someone called the Red Leaf Sword Master!" Two nobles who were relatively close to her quickly conveyed the message to her from afar.

"Red Leaf...." Cahill frowned, the name was common, and there were dozens or even hundreds of locals with that name.

"The Golden Lotus Cult people also said that if you can’t find them, they would destroy this layer of the world."

The noble continued urgently.

Cahill’s eyes suddenly turned cold.

"Destroy? Just him!? These hornless ones who can’t even break through the Simei defense line!?"

As a Dragon Crown Realm powerhouse, she was qualified to have her fiefdom in the Empire, and this small world was her chosen future territory.

Having already considered this place her property, hearing someone come to her domain and spout such outrageous words about destroying her fief was intolerable!

"Ignorant hornless ones! No.... this is beyond ignorance, it’s sheer idiocy!"

Cahill finally became enraged.

She urged the Red Dragon beneath her, its Dragon Spirit instantly spread, probing in all directions.

She quickly identified the hornless one still waiting in the same place.

The other party actually dared to stay put, waiting for her move.

Roar!!!

The Red Dragon flapped its wings, blocking out the sky, and with Cahill on it, it charged toward the man’s direction.

*********************

The Seventy-Second Layer of the Underworld Mansion.

The sky was dusky, a white crow perched in front of a wooden house, tilting its head without making any sound, its red eyes occasionally glancing at the small gray wooden door.

Creak....

The small door suddenly opened.

A middle-aged man with a full beard and a large wine gourd on his waist walked out.

The man held a wine bottle in his hand and drank several large gulps before drunkenly sitting at the edge of the wooden house, belching and looking at the sinking sunset.

The sunset sank slowly, its red light becoming increasingly vivid.

An old man in a plain white robe appeared beside him without him noticing.

"There’s been some agitation on the Fifth Layer, those newcomers have gotten into a conflict with another newcomer."

"What does that have to do with me?" The man didn’t even lift his eyes.

"The second batch of newcomers came specifically to find you." The old man said indifferently.

"To find me?" The man raised his head and took another swig of wine.

"It’s the little guy we sent out together not long ago." The old man added.

"He’s back now, much stronger, mobilizing all living beings in that layer, trying to get a message to you. Red Leaf, will you see him?"

"He wants to settle an old score." Red Leaf said faintly.

"Or perhaps he wants to save you." The old man sighed.

"Are you joking? I’ll go see." Red Leaf chuckled, slowly got up, took another swig of wine, and staggered toward a small lake opposite the wooden house.

The old man watched him leave, shook his head suddenly, then turned and vanished abruptly.

*************************

Woooooooo....!!

The endless sound of horns, ancient and desolate, reverberated, as if it could last for tens of thousands of years, echoing in the sky.

Lin Xin sat cross-legged on the grass, quietly resting with his eyes closed.

Suddenly, he opened his eyes and looked toward the sky ahead.

In the distant sky, a huge Red Dragon was flapping its wings, flying from afar in his direction.

The Red Dragon was much like the Western dragons he had seen in his previous life on Earth, with a serpent neck, bat-like wings, a lizard body, and a bright red color.

On the dragon’s head stood a woman in dark gold armor, muscular, with flowing golden hair, surrounded by terrifying energy fluctuations that caused the space around her to tremble and crack.

"Have you found Red Leaf?" Lin Xin slowly spoke, his voice booming like thunder, spreading far and wide.

The clouds in the surroundings rapidly dispersed from the vibrations of his voice, an unusual phenomenon caused by pure sound waves.

If one could amplify their voice enough and control it precisely, it might be possible to manipulate the natural laws of the universe, achieving the so-called effect of words becoming reality.

Of course, Lin Xin wasn’t a specialist in that type of Taoist arts, so naturally, he couldn’t achieve such divine effects, this was simply the terrifying result of his immensely powerful physical body.

The reason for this was only that his body was too strong.

The moment his voice was heard, Cahill’s expression changed slightly.

The Dragon Spirit’s fluctuations around her instantly surged to their fullest.

If she got serious, she too had the power to destroy this layer of the world, which, according to the natives’ units of measurement, only spanned several million square miles in size.

What she didn’t expect was that the opponent had a similarly powerful physical body like hers.

"Hornless one.... you are very brave."

She scrutinized her opponent carefully.

Clad in a white robe that didn’t seem woven but rather condensed from some special force. With black hair tied in a ponytail, a handsome face with a faintly mysterious allure, evidently having used disguise spell methods, this person didn’t appear weak.

"Are you the Protector Divine General of the Golden Lotus Cult? Or from the Ghost Path Sect of the Black Lotus Sect?"

Her eyes flashed with a hint of killing intent.

"Did no one in your sect tell you not to venture deep into the Empire’s colonies alone?"

"If you’re not careful, you could die...."

Lin Xin’s face remained calm, his gaze drifting past her, as if searching for something behind her.

Cahill snorted coldly.

"You don’t even realize death is upon you!" Having lived for three hundred thousand years, it was the first time she had encountered such a formidable but foolish individual.

She wasn’t afraid of the opponent being strong, as a hornless one, their so-called True Yuan power was naturally countered by Dragon Spirit. Even if their power was equal or slightly stronger than hers, with relative strength suppression, she was still confident in cutting them down.

She had done so more than ten times already.

In the distance, the evacuating noble team also gradually halted.

"Really foolish, encountering Cahill and not even fleeing. Are all these hornless ones this stupid?"

The fat nobleman’s body shook with sarcasm, his eyes full of mockery.

Although he lacked strong Dragon Spirit cultivation, his inherited trace of Imperial bloodline Dragon Spirit gave him senses far sharper than ordinary Dragon Spirits, allowing him to see clearly even from such a distance.

"Judging by the power that hornless one exuded earlier, he must be at the Dragon Crown Realm, but doesn’t he know that even at that level, he is like paper before Cahill, not worth a second thought?"

Another young nobleman shook his head.

"Cahill has killed the Eleven Ghost Path Sect of the Black Lotus Sect before. If the Vice Sect Leader of the hornless ones hadn’t acted personally, she might have wiped out their entire surviving land."

"Though I despise Cahill, even the humble commoner faction is far nobler than these trashy swine hornless ones!" The fat nobleman’s face was filled with disgust and hatred, "Those bastards destroyed my three favorite mansions, if only I could capture him...."

"Don’t dream, this is Cahill’s military achievement. She may seem meek and docile, but in reality, she is very proud and shrewd." The young nobleman said calmly.

"That hornless one seems very strong.... what if Cahill can’t defeat him..." Another noble expressed concern.

"Impossible!" The young nobleman shook his head, "That hornless one is strong, yes, but a native is a native. Cahill only fears he’s not strong enough.

The stronger he is, the more his head is worth, and the richer the military merits she’ll gain."

He lifted his gaze, looking distantly at the Red Dragon hovering in the sky.
