Chapter 765: Chapter 760 Unsealing 2
"But I think the world as it is now is quite nice,"
the man from Prague said lazily, stroking his stubbled chin.
Bang!!
Just then, a hand wrapped in yellow light suddenly shot out from the sphere of light.
Immediately following that, the entire sphere of light completely shattered, scattering countless fragments and revealing the neatly dressed robes inside.
"It’s really a rare find... such a promising seed!"
Lin Xin slowly turned his head, looking at Prague, his eyes faintly gleaming with a strange joy.
"The power of time... you can actually control the power of time... such a stunning talent!"
"That’s why everyone says I’m a genius," Prague said, his heart tightening, yet he still managed a casual smile.
"My son... he is of my bloodline," the Corpse King Jidu also gazed fixedly at Prague.
Lin Xin furrowed his brows. Suddenly, he thought of a brilliant idea.
"Prague, right?"
He stopped in his tracks, looking at the other.
"I, Lieshan, Sect Master of the Lake Mountain Sect and the current leader of the Taoist Sects across the world, can solve your bloodline issues if you are willing to take me as your master," he proposed.
He then turned his face to another person, Zhihong.
"Your body... resembles that of a Yaksha from the Corpse Path but isn’t quite the same. There’s not a trace of Evil Qi, truly fascinating... If you wish to resolve your body issues, you could also take me as your master."
Both individuals felt this odd, knowing well that this Taoist was supposedly their adversary, yet here he was, suddenly asking them to become his disciples.
"Sorry, but I’m not keen on having another master over me,"
Prague shrugged.
Zhihong, however, fell silent. She was always in a state of absolute agony, which often left her in a dark, depressive mental state.
"However, the most urgent matter at hand is to first break the Seal,"
Lin Xin suddenly took a step, walking toward the altar.
Click!
Yellow light appeared again, tightly binding his legs.
"Hold him down!"
Zhihong spoke in a low voice, suddenly shooting out a dark red rope from her hand, which also tightly bound Lin Xin’s right arm.
Yuan Xiaojing and Yin Mingzhi among others also took action.
"Heavenly Net of Earth!"
The same mastery that was used to seal Jidu originally was now exerted by everyone simultaneously.
Though lacking the crucial Taoist Hongde, their target was not as formidable as the Corpse King Jidu.
Shh! Hisss!
Dozens of red lines shot out, accurately binding Lin Xin’s hands and feet.
"Boring."
Lin Xin lifted his leg, which had over a dozen threads tied around it, and took a step forward.
Hiss...
Everyone, including Yin Mingzhi, Zhihong, and Prague, was suddenly pulled forward by the threads.
"How is this possible!!"
All were shocked, unable to believe that despite all their combined strength, they still couldn’t hold him down.
"Prague!!"
Zhihong called out urgently to the man.
"I’m trying!!"
Prague was already sweating profusely. A copious amount of yellow light radiated out but seemed meaningless against Lin Xin’s advancements.
Hiss...
Lin Xin took steps toward the altar, the threads binding him appearing to offer no resistance whatsoever,
dragging everyone else along with him.
He just dragged everyone along, reaching the altar, and pressed his hand toward the stone surface.
"We can’t let him break the Seal!!"
Yuan Xiaojing suddenly bit his tongue tip, spitting out a mouthful of blood essence that turned into a mist on the threads, summoning his greatest power.
The rest of the Demon-Subduing Noble Family did the same, gritting their teeth and spewing their blood essence, staining the threads red.
Prague’s body began to faintly emit a yellow glow, and his complexion turned somewhat pale, clearly pushing his abilities to the limit.
Zhihong continued to shake the lantern-like weapon in her hands, shooting out red threads that bound Lin Xin.
"Stop him!!!" she began rapidly chanting the activation Curse Script for the altar’s defense mechanism.
A layer of white light emerged on the surface of the Seal Altar, flowing with talisman patterns, attempting to prevent Lin Xin’s hand from reaching closer.
But to everyone’s despair, nothing could stop Lin Xin’s movements.
He simply stretched out his hand and gently pressed it on the altar’s surface, the numerous patterns of white light crumbling into nothing.
He just pinched it.
Boom!
The entire stone block completely burst into pieces.
This sudden change stunned everyone.
Yuan Xiaojing and Yin Mingzhi’s mouths were wide open, their faces still not free from anxiety.
Prague was still smoking, the smoke only beginning to escape from his nostrils.
Zhihong had stepped forward, not having reached the altar yet, when she saw the stone explode.
For a moment, the entire chamber fell into a bizarre silence.
Jidu was initially stunned, but as time passed, his mouth corners slowly split wider, nearly reaching his ears.
"Hahahaha!!!"
He burst into a mad laughter.
The laughter shook the entire hall.
Rings of black Qi erupted from his body, spreading out like the tide.
Strong currents of air whipped up fierce winds, making it nearly impossible for those around him to open their eyes.A beast made purely of black smoke emerged behind Jidu, howling up at the sky.
The ground began to shake, walls cracked open revealing slivers of black Qi.
The entire underground palace trembled.
"My king! My king!!"
Innumerable shouts thundered from the dark Qi surrounding them.
Above the great hall, over the ruins of the city, and even in the skies above the green warships.
Dense black clouds amassed, tumbling and roaring.
Thunder rolled, lightning flashed.
Black ripples began to spread outward with the dark clouds enveloping this vast area.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
The sound of rippling heartbeats amplified, spreading the black ripples across the entire world.
Under a dramatically changing sky, countless people in the Western Ocean watched in astonishment.
In the vast blue ocean, numerous marine creatures surfaced, staring up at the sky.
Many marine creatures spouted streams of water and bowed in submission.
In the dark green forests, a multitude of beasts panicked, lying prostrate on the ground, left to be hunted at will by hunters.
But the hunters themselves were also wildly thumping in their hearts, clueless about what was unfolding.
In central Great Xia.
Across the vast loess plateau, dry, gray-black figures crawled out of the earth.
They opened their cracked mouths wide, howling at the sky, and knelt on the ground.
"My king!"
In the mayoral residence of Yuhai City,
a figure shrouded in shadows suddenly stood up.
Looking out the window,
he saw thick black clouds gathering as if the world had plunged into darkness.
"My king... you’ve finally awakened... I wonder which of my brothers or sisters succeeded in releasing you."
He slowly moved to the window, his eyes filled with joy.
*****************
Inside the underground palace.
The Corpse King Jidu was shrouded in endless black smoke, forming three black smoke dogs’ heads snarling ferociously.
Countless black Qi danced around him madly, with glimpses of spatial cracks opening, revealing masses of red eyes.
"The seal is broken...!!"
Yuan Xiaojing’s face turned ashen, Hongde Taoist’s final desperate seal was so easily undone.
"It’s over, this is really over..."
Prague dropped his cigarette to the ground, never imagining this would be the outcome.
"Hahahaha!!!"
Jidu laughed maniacally, spreading his arms wide.
His body swirled with black Qi, the power causing the surrounding space to continuously ripple with cracks.
"The world will ultimately bow at my feet, I am the world’s..." Bang!!
His words stopped abruptly. Silence....
Jidu’s eyes rolled back, clutching his stomach in pain, he was pulled down from the altar by Lin Xin.
"Honored Master."
Lu Li and Huai Yang appeared at the entrance of the Underground Palace, bowing respectfully to Lin Xin.
"Let’s go, it’s time to return."
Lin Xin led Jidu past them, then paused suddenly.
"Take everyone here back, including those two." He pointed at Prague and Zhihong. "They’re my new disciples, just a bit misguided and in need of education."
"Understood. We’ll properly communicate with our new junior brothers and sisters later."
Huai Yang displayed an understanding look.
This ruse was all too familiar to them.
In many ways, Lin Xin was greatly influenced by Huang Yuan—he determined his disciples, and they had to acknowledge it, willing or not.
Muscling into things had become a habit....
Anyway, once they reach the Ghost Realm and breed their progeny there, whatever their talents, their power will ultimately contribute to the collective strength of the realm.
Yuan Xiaojing looked dazed, then turned her gaze to Chen Ying, who was equally stunned.
Then back to Lin Xin, who was almost out of the Underground Palace.
Suddenly, she no longer knew what expression to wear.
She and others had sacrificed so much just to combat the Corpse King Jidu, told in legends to destroy heavens and earth.
But in his hands, so-called destruction was merely a joke.
Just a single punch.
Then Jidu, the famously terrifying figure, was directly knocked out.
It all seemed so simple.
"Tell me this isn’t real..." Yin Mingzhi grimaced, unsure whether to feel relieved or to cry.
The members of the Demon-Subduing Noble Family also wore stunned, odd expressions, burdened by how easily an outsider had resolved the issue.
This huge disparity left everyone uncertain, not knowing how to react.
But Prague was the only one who differed; he took a deep breath, recovering first from the shock.
His eyes sparkled, as if he had seen something extremely fascinating.
"The Taoist Sect... still hides such a powerful Taoist Lord! The world is really getting more interesting!"
He decided to cozy up to Lieshan Taoist Lord, even if the latter declined him.
He had always been most intrigued by these mysterious matters.
The woman’s face, hidden under a mask, showed no clear expression.
She, too, snapped out of it, standing still, watching as the threads torn by black Qi slowly extended a hand, touching the scarred wounds under her mask.
"Go to him."
Prague’s voice came from not far away.
"Perhaps he alone can heal your pain." His eyes held a hint of tenderness.
Zhihong lowered her hand, clenched her fist, and nodded slightly.
The black Qi brought by the Corpse King was now rapidly dissipating; soon, it would be completely gone.
Everything felt like a fleeting dream, easily resolved.
