Chapter 763: Chapter 758: Starlight 2
"Is this... the Combat Buddha of the Buddha Domain?" Longsword raised an eyebrow.
"Of course not." Jiuqu smiled slightly, seeing that Longsword was puzzled, he immediately became happy.
"Xiao Jing, you explain to Heavenly Venerable Longsword."
"Yes..." the female immortal Xiao Jing gently responded.
"To answer Heavenly Venerable, this is the Primordial Revolutions Demon, which our ancestor grandfather found in the Forbidden Land of the Demon Domain."
"The Primordial Revolutions Demon symbol!?"
Longsword was slightly shocked.
"This is the legendary mysterious statue that contains the Primordial Demon Technique. You didn’t rob the Treasury of the Demon King’s Palace, did you?"
"Almost." Jiuqu laughed proudly.
"When I was fighting the Flame Desire Celestial from Shadow City, I accidentally found a fleeing group from the Demon King’s Palace and casually took them in. How about that? Doesn’t it feel like the fate is overwhelming?"
"The Demon Race is already pitiful now..." Longsword shook his head speechlessly, "Even the Reincarnated Demon God King is severely injured and unconscious, leaderless, and being tragically besieged by the Void Demon Spirits.
You are really adding insult to injury here."
"We use each other mutually with the Demon Race, it isn’t a cooperative relationship. What insult to injury can you talk about?" Jiuqu disagreed.
"Then, weren’t you fighting with Flame Desire Celestial? How did you end up in the Forbidden Land of the Demon Race?"
Longsword continued to inquire.
Jiuqu was momentarily taken aback and laughed dryly without speaking.
Longsword laughed and shook his head, aware that this guy was clearly taking advantage of the situation to loot amidst the chaos. Otherwise, the two places were worlds apart, and it didn’t add up at all.
"So, how is the battle on your side going?"
When it came to the entanglement with Shadow City, Jiuqu drank his tea and gradually began to look serious.
"The battle... the battle of the Heavenly Venerables has been dragging on for a long time, as you know.
The real bodies of the Heavenly Venerables are the stars in the Star Domain; mostly what they bring out are incarnations of Star Force. So far, I have worn down thirty-two of Flame Desire Celestial’s incarnations; there shouldn’t be a big problem. But how about you?"
"Me?" Longsword laughed and didn’t answer but gently picked up the teapot and proceeded to pour himself a full cup of tea. The tea flowed steadily, piling up in the cup without spilling over as if something invisible swallowed the excess, disappearing without trace.
After pouring the tea, he paused and then smiled.
"I just advanced, and my Star Force reserves are not sufficient, as you know. But fortunately, my position is solid and my foundation is exceptionally strong. My actual combat ability is much stronger than other opponents of the same level; so far it has been quite easy for me."
"Then how many incarnations have you condensed so far?" Jiuqu frowned and asked.
"Three."
"Only three!?" Jiuqu was suddenly taken aback.
"The opponent you are up against, Yellow Throat Heavenly Venerable, can reportedly boast of sixty-six incarnations. You think your three incarnations can kill him sixty-six times?"
Longsword shook his head.
"You, my friend!" Jiuqu sighed helplessly.
"I’m not worried; what inspiration did the Taoist Ancestor give you? What have you been looking for recently?"
Longsword remembered and pressed for an answer.
"Maybe you’ll tell me, and I might be able to help."
"You, yourself, are in a mess and still offering help?"
When Jiuqu brought up this matter, he immediately began to sigh.
The inspiration given by the Taoist Ancestor was ultimately something that had to be kept absolutely secret; it concerned his very life.
He was deeply involved in this great calamity, and his hope lay in the Earth Immortals with more than ten points of Immortal Light.
Picking up the Primordial Revolutions Demon symbol, the treasure he used to be very proud of, he now felt like it tasted bland.
"Just say it. Whether I can help isn’t for you to decide," Longsword also felt speechless, growing impatient with the dawdling.
"This matter... concerns my life and possessions..."
Jiuqu’s mind turned several thoughts, yet he didn’t speak, merely sighed.
"Forget it, I still have to go back and guard the node. I’ll take my leave."
He simply stood up.
"Won’t you stay a bit longer?" Longsword stood up to see him off.
The female immortal also quietly arranged the teapot and cups neatly, stood up, and followed behind Jiuqu.
"No. Every time I mention that matter, I get irritated." Jiuqu waved his hand.
Longsword frowned, seeing both of them out to the door.
"Alright then, take care of yourself, and if you can’t hold on any longer, come find me immediately. I still have spare capacity here."
"Don’t worry about me, you better watch out for yourself." Jiuqu waved his hand and led the female immortal slowly along the pathway of the Void Spirit Tower.
Longsword watched them leave.
"Oh, right."
Suddenly, Jiuqu turned around at a distance, hesitated a moment, then still sent a message.
"If you see an Earth Immortal seedling with more than ten points of Immortal Light, let me know."
"Ten points of Immortal Light?" Longsword was somewhat perplexed, "Isn’t my disciple Lieshan exactly that? What do you need him for?"
"Your disciple Lieshan?!"
Jiuqu’s expression was immediately taken aback.
His originally fair and plump face froze.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, his Immortal Light is at least more than ten points. Although I’m not sure of the exact number," Longsword nodded.
"You haven’t answered me yet, what do you need him for?"
"Lieshan..."
Jiuqu felt a surge of frustration rising from his chest and violently bursting out of his crown.
He stood rooted to the spot, his expression changing,
his face gradually reddening and then slowly turning black. He was speechless for a long time, just staring blankly at Longsword, his hand rigidly pointing at him.
It took a long while, with the female immortal hurriedly giving him back pats and smoothing his qi before he recovered his breath.
"You... you you you, why didn’t you say something earlier!"
"You never asked." Longsnake looked completely baffled.
"Let’s go! Find him!"
Jiuqu suddenly became anxious.
Then he remembered he was still in a standoff with the Heavenly Venerable of Shadow City and couldn’t leave. He immediately felt like ants on a hot pan, pacing in circles on the spot.
"Ah, what should I do!?"
"The battle is still at a stalemate, you can split off an avatar to find him," Longsnake reminded, unable to stand by any longer.
"Right!!" Jiuqu slapped his arm.
Ouch!
A female immortal nearby exclaimed.
Jiuqu immediately felt awkward as he withdrew his hand. The slap wasn’t on himself but on the young female immortal’s shoulder, causing the little one to frown in pain.
"Uh, sorry sorry, I will compensate you." He casually took out a bottle of elixir and handed it to the female immortal, then hurried over to Longsnake.
"Give me your apprentice Lieshan’s Jade Talisman number, quick quick quick!"
"Why should I give it to you?" Longsnake became alert. "What kind of danger are you involving him in?"
"There will be no danger! Don’t worry!" Jiuqu quickly transmitted his explanation through a whisper.
After carefully listening, Longsnake understood the crux of the matter.
The Taoist Ancestor only sought out Jiuqu and others, clearly because they were likely the most endangered in the calamity. Pointing out a way of survival hinted at an opportunity.
If they could find him, his chances of surviving would greatly increase; if not, they could only struggle amidst imminent death, a tremendously difficult task.
"But my apprentice Lieshan has just advanced to Earth Immortal cultivation, not like the Jiu Se Divine Lord who had secluded cultivation for many years. How could he impact us Celestials?"
Longsnake was puzzled.
Even if Lin Xin could repel a Heavenly Venerable attack once, that was just an avatar. The Celestial has star positions supplying continuous Star Force avatars.
Even he, who had just leveled up, had consolidated three avatars. That was equivalent to having three lives.
Moreover, without exhausting the Heavenly Venerable’s Star Force completely, there’s no way to harm his core star position.
Not to mention, star positions, hanging high in the Star Domain in the most mysterious and remote area of the Void, were unreachable by anyone but Heavenly Venerables.
Let alone attacking one.
"I don’t know either, but since the Taoist Ancestor mentioned it, there must be a reason. We just have to find Lieshan and take good care of him. It should be effective."
Jiuqu was also perplexed, but he felt considerably better.
"All right," Longsnake sighed, unable to say more, and transmitted Lin Xin’s Jade Talisman number to him.
Jiuqu, treating it like a treasure, quickly stowed it away.
"I’ll send an avatar over immediately."
"I’ll talk to him."
Longsnake nodded, trusting that Jiuqu would definitely not harm Lieshan. After all, they belonged to the same sect and were both members of the scholars’ academy.
If he had malicious intentions, the Taoist Ancestor wouldn’t let him off either.
He checked the Jade Talisman, and saw that Lin Xin was currently in seclusion.
"He’s in seclusion."
"Then I’ll go over and wait first," Jiuqu declared decisively.
"He tends to seclude for long periods," Longsnake gave him a look.
"It doesn’t matter, I don’t mind!"
"......." What could Longsnake say? His intention was to suggest Jiuqu not disturb Lieshan.
But with Jiuqu being so direct, what more could he say?
********************
The Second Minor World.
Western Ocean, Annu Nation.
As the strongest nation in the world, Annu Nation boasted a vast fleet, countless colonies, and the most cutting-edge elite army.
And as for its capital, Lasalle, countless fortunes amassed here, creating a life filled with splendor and debauchery, with endless resources pouring in from all around the world to sustain such an existence.
Unknowingly, Lasalle had become the world’s leading hub of immense prosperity.
Right now, in the middle of Lasalle’s central business district.
On a street bustling with cars and carriages, unbeknownst to anyone, a woman appeared at the center.
A woman dressed in Eastern heavy Armor, carrying a Longsword, as indifferent as a Crusade Sanctuary Knight.
Lu Li stepped slowly in the middle of the road, ignoring any car or carriage that might collide with her at any moment.
Around her, many blond-haired, blue-eyed Westerners gathered, pointing and talking about her, but she remained utterly indifferent.
Following the road, she reached the very center of a crossroads downtown, attracting a lot of attention by now.
Her spiritual sense spread out and instantly locked onto a location.
"Make way! Everyone make way! Who dares to disrupt traffic in the center of Lasalle!?"
A group of burly men dressed in white police uniforms ran over from afar, heading straight for Lu Li.
The crowd around Lu Li thickened, with more onlookers gathering, and some well-dressed noblewomen also stepped out of their cars to look over.
"This is the place."
She ignored the surrounding situation and slowly drew her Longsword.
"That must be fake, right?" a voice muttered quietly.
"Definitely, see how easily she handles it, must be made of cardboard."
"Is this person from a theater troupe?"
None at the scene felt anything unusual, just finding the spectacle amusing.
Shick!
The blade instantly moved downward and, before a group of policemen could reach her, fiercely stabbed into the ground of the crossroads.
