Chapter 676: Chapter 671: Message 3

The Black Fire Lion had slipped away, in a place like the Black Fire column, it was impossible to find a Black Fire Lion that wanted to escape.

Moreover, this creature was undying, indestructible, even if killed, it wouldn’t be long before it resurrected. Killing it was utterly meaningless.

Lin Xin simply left the Black Fire column and flew back to his stone dwelling.

After getting used to the newly added attributes to his physical body for a few days, the summons from the Deep Fire Palace arrived.

Lin Xin quickly tidied up, and, together with Dragon Serpent and others, mounted the chariot and headed towards the Void.

Four Seas Fairy Mountains

Above the azure sea, a white sea of clouds supported a pointed mountaintop, appearing and disappearing like a mirage above the sea.

Green Lake Mountain as a whole was grey, towering into the clouds, surrounded by diamond-shaped crystals emitting a purple light.

Beneath on the sea surface, one could vaguely see a huge, blurry, dark shadow coiled up like a dragon or serpent, its body stretching as long as ten thousand meters, forming a massive serpentine coil.

To the left of Immortal Mountain, within a certain part of the void, a point of blue light suddenly appeared.

The halo expanded, forming an oval shape, and out from it flew a luxurious carriage pulled by a two-headed black naga.

On both sides of the carriage, there was a symmetrical green mountain-shaped emblem.

Flanking the carriage were rows of guards clad in crimson armor, wielding long halberds. Every guard stood upon a red flame, and their aura revealed that they all possessed the strength of the Fifth Rank.

A patrol group of cultivators nearby, leading their subordinates on a leisurely round, caught sight of this carriage and their expressions suddenly changed.

"It’s people from Green Lake Mountain! Quickly go and report to the Hall Master."

This was the territory of the Nine Immortal Halls within the Four Seas Fairy Mountains, and at that moment, Kun Shan, the third disciple of the Nine Immortal Halls, was on patrol. He was one of the people privy to the details of a recent incident, so he was somewhat prepared mentally.

He hastily instructed his subordinates to go back and report.

"Yes."

The subordinate hurriedly flew back, continuously forming hand decisions for communication, transmitting the message.

Kun Shan proactively put on a smiling face to greet them.

"I had no idea that the esteemed Dragon Serpent Realm Master was visiting. We failed to welcome you from afar, please forgive us."

"Kun Shan? Where is your master? Have Nine Immortals come to see me."

Dragon Serpent sat inside the carriage, without showing his face, and spoke in a deep voice.

"Honored Master will be here shortly. As for the incident with Sister Lie Jin not long ago, we will surely give an explanation to the Realm Master,"

Kun Shan said respectfully.

The disciples made a big mess, and the internal decision had already been made, leaving no room for argument. Now everything depended on the Realm Master Dragon Serpent’s satisfaction with the resolution.

Regrettly, Kun Shan thought, whose wrath they had awakened; they encountered the madmen from Green Lake Mountain. In the Four Seas Fairy Mountains, the Dragon Race was revered throughout, even they had to bow down and willingly obey.

Even the people from the Illusory Sea Arctic Region, when they came here, whether they were dragons or wind, had to coil up.

But uniquely Green Lake Mountain, even the common disciples of Green Lake Mountain would have been let off, but they had provoked a True Disciple, a disciple of the Realm Master.

Kun Shan sighed inwardly, knowing that the lives of the disciples like Wu were ruined.

Inside the carriage, Lin Xin and Sister Lie Jin sat opposite each other at a small table, each with wine pots and cups placed before them.

Lie Jin drank cup after cup, expressionless on her face, but one could faintly see a touch of bitterness in her eyes.

Being plagued by a cultivation illness that halted all progress was undoubtedly one of the most cruel fates for a cultivator determined to advance.

Alas, that was her fate.

With her spirit vein injured within her body, there was no cure to be found.

"Lie Jin..." Dragon Serpent hovered inside the carriage, his whole body ablaze with crimson flames, as if he was enveloped in raging fire.

There were two others beside him, one was a valiant woman in full armor, with one eye blind and covered with an eyepatch, her face marked with scars, making her look fierce and ferocious.

This person was Dragon Serpent’s Guard Captain, whose name Lin Xin did not know, and no one had ever heard her speak. If it wasn’t for the fact that she accompanied them on this trip, Lin Xin wouldn’t even have known that this woman was a Sixth Rank powerhouse, an Earth Immortal.

The other was a middle-aged scholar with a pale complexion, holding a feather fan, smiling, dressed in a blue robe, and wearing a white jade hat.

However, what was off about him was that he lacked a mouth.

He had eyes, a nose, ears, but no mouth.

What should have been his mouth was just naturally smooth skin, flush with his chin.

The aura around this man was deep and vast, and the moment Lin Xin caught his gaze, he felt as though his body was on fire, as if he could be spontaneously combusting under the other’s stare at any moment.

This too was a Sixth Rank great being.

These two were the true Suppressing Level experts whom Dragon Serpent had always concealed at his side.

They also formed the fundamental confidence for suppressing the chaos in the Dragon Serpent Realm. Even among Earth Immortals, they were counted as strong beings.

At that moment, Dragon Serpent looked at Sister Lie Jin with a sympathetic and regretful gaze.

"For this matter, I will surely uphold justice for you, and your family’s descendants will receive adequate compensation," he said.

"Thank you, Honored Master," Sister Lie Jin replied with a strained smile.

Lin Xin, listening on the side, also roughly understood the events that had transpired on the way here.

One could not really blame the few from the Four Seas Fairy Mountains.

They first discovered an underwater ancient Treasury, and upon entering, they were later encountered by Sister Lie Jin. A fight broke out over a secret treasure.

Sister Lie Jin injured one of them with a palm strike.

But she was also interfered by a mysterious guardian within the ruins, and was hit in the spirit vein Dantian by people from the Four Seas Fairy Mountains.

The original intent was to kill to silence them and sever the cause and effect. However, they did not anticipate that Sister Lie Jin would escape and survive.

These kinds of incidents are actually quite common everywhere, mere cases of murder for treasure, seeking to monopolize. But the strange part was, they had provoked people from Green Lake Mountain.

"Let’s go, get off the carriage," said Dragon Serpent casually.

The group filed out of the carriage one by one, hovering around the white cloud beside the carriage, looking ahead at the approaching people from afar.

The line of people were clad in blue robes, with the person in the front wearing a blue robe marked with silver lines. The number of lines indicated that he, too, was a high rank Earth Immortal with considerable power.

Surrounding him was a halo of blue light, within which seemed to swim fish. Atop his head, he also wore a golden crown adorned with nine large Treasure Beads.

His face bore a black mustache, giving him an imposing appearance.

"So it is the Dragon Serpent Realm Master himself who has come. Since the last Immortal Brew feast, the Realm Master seems ever more vigorous," the mustachioed man laughed heartily.

"Nine Immortals, about my disciple’s matter, how will it be handled?"

The Dragon Serpent was in no mood for pleasantries and went straight to the point.

The mustachioed man’s expression grew serious.

"Bring those people here," he ordered.

Immediately, several Silver Armor guards who had been standing ready brought forward three disheveled cultivators.

All three were barely clinging to life, with wounds all over their bodies, clearly having been tortured severely beforehand.

"These are the three main culprits. I’m handing them over to the Dragon Serpent Realm Master," the Nine Immortals gestured, and the guards pushed the three towards him.

From the Dragon Serpent’s side, three guards in red armor stepped forward to take custody of the three men.

"Additionally," the Nine Immortal Hall Master waved his hand again, and rows of female cultivators came forward, each holding a basket of treasured items.

"This is a small compensation for your disciple, Lie Jin," he said with a look of regret. "This matter was the fault of Nine Immortal Halls, these treasures are but a small token of apology." His face showed a trace of pain as he spoke.

Standing behind the Dragon Serpent, Lin Xin looked over the treasures and immediately felt their brilliance. Each one was a Sixth Rank Magic Artifact, exuding a similar energy to that of the ones his teacher owned. Moreover, the intensity of the energy varied, clearly indicating a hierarchy within the Sixth Rank.

"A grand gesture indeed!"

He was shocked. All these were Sixth Rank Magic Artifacts, and the Nine Immortal Halls had just given them up without a word.

This was the first time he had witnessed the extent of Green Lake Mountain’s face.

"Is this it?" The Dragon Serpent’s expression turned cold. "You think handing over these few people is enough?"

His gaze grew increasingly stern.

"Nine Immortals, you know my temperament. If this matter isn’t dealt with thoroughly, don’t blame me for being unsympathetic," he warned.

The Nine Immortal Hall Master’s face slightly changed, and the cultivators behind him also looked uneasy, with heads bowed and fists clenched, not daring to speak out despite their anger.

"Dragon Serpent Realm Master...surely misfortune should not extend to the family..." the Nine Immortals began, his voice strained.

"Don’t force me to take action," the Dragon Serpent cut him off abruptly.

The Nine Immortal knew he meant what he said, and his expression immediately grew somber.

The three in custody also began to struggle frantically.

"Hall Master! You promised us! Our families would not be harmed!!"

"If you must kill, kill only me! My family has nothing to do with this!!"

"Green Lake Mountain! You are going too far!!"

All three were shouting loudly.

Lin Xin, Lie Jin, and two other powerful Earth Immortals simply watched with cold eyes.

The people of Nine Immortal Hall were repressing their aura, but none dared to raise their voice.

The Nine Immortal Hall Master hesitated, but feeling the Dragon Serpent Realm Master’s increasingly fiery aura, he finally gave a resigned smile.

"The families of these three, I will let you know their whereabouts..."

Having said this, he turned and flew away, unable to face staying any longer.

The Dragon Serpent Realm Master glanced at the three men shouting and yelling.

"Let’s go," he commanded, and boarded the chariot.

The rest followed suit.

A broad chariot, over ten meters wide and pulled by two nine-headed serpents, slowly turned around, carrying away the three Cultivators of the Four Seas Fairy Mountains, quickly flying off into the distance.

Inside the chariot, the Dragon Serpent watched Lie Jin stand before the three men.

He held a sharp knife out towards her.

"Kill them," he said in a low tone.

"I will use their cultivation, bloodline, and souls as the price to transform into retribution, protecting your descendants."

The three men continued to scream madly, but their voices were completely muffled by a thin layer of red light, unable to penetrate even slightly.

They tried to struggle but it was of no use; their bodies were fully restrained by the red-armored guards, rendering them immobile.

Lie Jin was expressionless, but tears welled up and fell from her cheeks nonetheless.

Lin Xin observed this and felt deeply moved.

He knew that since his fellow disciple could no longer continue her cultivation practice, she would have to leave the Dragon Serpent Realm according to the rules. Managing a family and nurturing descendants would be her new goal.

In other words, she was severing ties with the Dragon Serpent Realm at this moment.

Perhaps the Dragon Serpent might still extend his protection to her out of past sentiment, but ultimately, the close bond of teacher and disciple would fade.

Shick!

Lie Jin drove the knife into one man’s heart. His hot blood spurted from his chest, splattering onto her face via the special design of the sharp knife.

Shick!

Another stab, and the second Cultivator was swiftly killed.

Shick!

The third.
