Chapter 592 - 587: Leaving 3

Chapter 592: Chapter 587: Leaving 3

"Where did all these experts come from?!" Lin Xin gritted his teeth as he glanced at the wound on his hand. "Even in death, they set me up!"

Given his physical quality and skin defense, he was actually touched by the shockwave of the first layer, sustaining an injury. One could imagine the terrifying power it held.

"What happened?!"

"What’s going on? Quickly, save the Family Head!"

After the explosion, people from a distance rushed over. Figures swiftly shot toward the scene, and upon stabilizing around the deep pit, they saw only Lin Xin supporting two people in a sorry state.

The crowd was immediately shocked.

"Quick, save them!"

With the sound of whooshes, numerous Lin Family guards rushed to aid. Lin Youke and three others quickly descended.

"Young Master!"

"Take the two Family Heads to my courtyard and activate the defensive formation," Lin Xin instructed, handing Lin Yaoyang and Qian Konghun respectively to Lin Youke and Lin Chuan.

"Yes!"

The two did not ask further questions but left with the swiftly arriving Lin Family experts.

Someone had already gone to summon the Sect’s royal physician.

An explosion on the day of the God Sacrifice resulted in dozens of casualties. This was no longer a matter that could be glossed over as a simple incident.

"Where is our Family Head?!"

People from the Duanqing and Kong Families crowded around, demanding loudly.

"Get lost!"

Lin Xin, already injured, was even more infuriated now and lashed out with a palm strike.

The air was simply disrupted by the sheer speed and force, creating a wave of turbulence that struck the encroaching groups from the three families.

A large group of people screamed in agony, falling to the ground, unable to rise, filling the air with cries of pain.

"The other three Family Heads, in collusion with a Demon Spirit, are unforgivable criminals! They have been executed on the spot!" Lin Xin declared with a severe expression and a cold voice.

"Come forth!"

"Present!"

Instantly, several Hidden Guard shadows appeared at his side.

Lin Xin swept a glance at the remaining members of the three families, a flicker of anger in his eyes,

"Take them all away and detain them. Question them afterward! If there are spies, kill them!"

"Understood!" A chorus of responses came from the Hidden Guards.

"No! You can’t do this!"

The captured individuals cursed and shouted, but it was in vain.

This was Lin Clan territory, with formidable Hidden Guards present. A large group of guards quickly escorted the captives away under the leadership of the Hidden Guards.

As for the retaliation from the three great families, with their Family Heads killed and the process of inheriting the Seal taking a long time, coupled with the severe injuries sustained by the two mightiest Family Heads of the Qiankong and Lin Families, they would suffer greatly even if they did not die.

At this moment, Segen also appeared nearby, followed by Yuan Wanqing with a grave expression and several elders.

"Yue’er... What happened?" Yuan Wanqing asked worriedly.

"I’m sorry to have alarmed you, Mother. I’ve got everything under control, please don’t worry," Lin Xin reassured her as he quickly approached to comfort her. "Segen, please take Mother down to rest well."

"Understood." Although Segen did not understand what had happened, he could tell that this was not the time for explanations and quickly executed the order, leading Yuan Wanqing away.

Lin Xin stood still, surveying his surroundings. Fortunately, the crowd that had left earlier was far gone and had not had time to return.

"Wang Zhu..." he snorted coldly.

And then he vanished from the spot.

Over two thousand miles from the Land of Sacrifice,

In a Dark Forest filled with dense fog.

Tall and straight trees, like the shafts of pens, formed orderly rows, creating a straight path carpeted with fallen leaves amidst the heavy fog.

In the fog, a man cloaked in a black cape, with a hood concealing his features and a silver circular emblem on his chest, was leaning against a tree, waiting quietly.

Drip, drip, drip...

Suddenly, a clear sound of footsteps came from the depths of the fog.

The man slightly turned his face, revealing a clean and delicate chin, and looked toward the direction of the sound.

Out of the dense fog, a figure also cloaked in a black cape with a silver emblem was slowly walking towards him.

This person had a curvy figure, seemingly a woman.

"Did the Hidden Guard fail?" the man asked.

"Yes. There was an unexpected situation."

"Even the Lion Without Light has perished, Wang Zhu will not be pleased with your explanation," the man said indifferently.

The woman paused for a moment.

"I had no choice, that was the Seal of the Evil God, it must have been tampered with by an Evil God," the woman’s voice was cool.

The man fell silent for a while.

"Evil God... Wasn’t it said that he had already fallen into a deep slumber?"

"Maybe we were just unlucky and happened to run into it," the woman replied coldly, "I will personally beg for forgiveness from Lord Wang Zhu."

"As you wish."

The man stood up straight, no longer leaning against the tree. In his hand, he suddenly held a bizarre-looking branch.

This branch was twisted and gnarled, and it appeared to have naturally occurring runes etched on it.

"If he has indeed awakened, then I shall represent my father and pay him a visit."

The woman remained silent, watching as the man walked step by step into the dense fog in the distance, and then disappeared.

She clenched her fist, standing quietly in the same spot for a while, before she too turned and left, vanishing into the mist.

Where she had been standing, among the dry leaves on the ground, were a few droplets of fresh blood, unbeknownst to anyone when they had appeared.

Faint reddish sunlight slanted down from the right, filling the entire corridor.

Xia sat quietly on the edge of the corridor, with his legs dangling outside, swinging back and forth. A stack of small dishes was placed beside him.

Red and green, something in the dishes seemed to be crawling about.

Amidst a tread of footsteps, a man wearing a black robe with a silver ring emblem on his chest appeared at the entrance of the corridor.

"Great Prince Xia, congratulations on finally awakening from your slumber."

The man with a humble smile on his face walked slowly along the corridor until he was only a few meters away from Xia, then he stopped.

Xia, whose face was littered with stitches and partly rotten, turned slightly towards him.

"I believe I warned you all, didn’t I?"

His dark gold eyes held a hint of danger as he stared at the uninvited fellow.

"I do not quite understand Your Highness’s meaning," the man said, maintaining his smile.

"Take your men and leave," Xia’s expression turned cold. "I will not hinder you, so do not hinder me."

"Your Highness is too kind," the man said, bowing slightly. "We are but mere servants under Wang Zhu’s command. We are not qualified to interfere with your plans."

"I’ve finally found such a suitable pawn, and I do not wish for you people from Shadow City to disturb it," Xia said coldly. "Now, you may leave."

"I understand, Your Highness. I will pay my respects another day."

The man smiled, turned, and left.

Xia watched as the other party walked away.

His gaze gradually sharpened.

"Your Highness, what did the people from Shadow City want?" a hunchbacked old man emerged at his side.

"They came to see if I’ve recovered," Xia said indifferently, grabbing a handful from the small dish and shoving it into his mouth, chewing slowly.

"The people from the Cocoon are becoming bolder," the old man said in a low voice.

"Lion’s Domain and Shadow City, heh, interesting that both sides have shown themselves ahead of time," Xia cracked a smile, revealing his decayed teeth.

"In this world, they only have six Wang Zhu to control; rest assured, they would not dare to cross me. If they anger me, I could simply eradicate them and leave this world to continue my cultivation elsewhere."

"Alright, how is the preparation you were tasked with going?"

"Everything is ready," the old man said, bowing respectfully.

A thick wooden stake pieced through the chest on his back. The grey stake entered from the front and exited the back, fully fused with his flesh and blood.

"Then inform our little friend," Xia said with a smile.

Six days later...

Lin Xin sat alone in the study, flipping through the books in his hands.

Lin Yaoyang lay on a long vine chair behind him, cushioned by a pile of thick cloth pads.

"Have you decided?"

Lin Yaoyang asked in a low voice.

"Yeah, I’ll leave tonight," Lin Xin nodded, closing the book in his hands.

Up to now, Lin Yaoyang still had no idea how she had been saved that day. Right up until she lost consciousness, she was struggling against the invasion of the black sphere.

When she came to, she was told that her brother Lin Sherie had saved her.

But how could that be possible? Her younger brother was only so many years old. No matter how talented he was, he could not possibly have bridged so many years of cultivation in an instant to rival a Yuan Jing Cultivator.

So, she suspected that there must be a mastermind behind her younger brother.

And for the past few days, she had been bombarding him with questions, unable to pry from Lin Xin who this so-called master might be.

"Sigh... I really want to go out too..." Lin Yaoyang pouted, gulping down some liquor. "Brother... since you’re about to leave, why don’t we... you know, do it."

Lin Xin gave her a speechless look.

Although he had some feelings for her, he really couldn’t cope with her manner.

This person had recovered so quickly largely because he had enhanced her constitution by over a hundred through the Soul Pact.

These could be justified with the consumption of heavenly materials and treasures, since top-grade ones could also lengthen one’s life by at least a hundred years.

But any further and Lin Yaoyang would definitely begin to suspect.

"I’m planning to go to Sea Cliff, if you’re worried, you can come and see me anytime. If I join any Sect, I’ll send word back to inform you, so rest assured," Lin Xin said indifferently.

"Sea Cliff, ah... I really want to go..." Lin Yaoyang started rolling about on the vine chair.

Her short skirt and black stockings, the continuous rolling and squeezing of her ***** sent them swaying, and the hem of her skirt flipped higher and higher as she rolled.

"Mind your skirt,"

Lin Xin couldn’t help but remind her.

"What’s there to fear, sooner or later you’ll have it anyway," Lin Yaoyang said with a coy laugh, "My body, anytime and anywhere, any way you want, I’ll accept it~~~"

Slap!

Lin Xin’s mouth twitched, slapping the person on the head.

"Have you degenerated to this extent now?!"

"Oh come on, it’s just sibling love!"

Lin Yaoyang yelped in pain; it seemed that since she was saved, she had become increasingly unrestrained. Her behavior was progressively losing any semblance of modesty, which worried Lin Xin.

He stood up, his thoughts turning, and then said.

"Since even your body is mine, you better take good care of yourself and not let anyone take advantage of you easily."

"Awww, little brother cares about his sister," Lin Yaoyang lazily sprawled on the vine chair, her long hair draping down like satin.

She glanced seductively, her chest heaving as she extended her hand to grab Lin Xin’s right hand.

"So cute... and capable of playing the hero when it counts, what a good little brother. If someone else were to snatch you away... oh my, the thought is unbearable."

"You’re drunk," Lin Xin frowned, trying to pull away his hand.

"I haven’t had that much," Lin Yaoyang blushed, pulling Lin Xin’s hand to her cheek.

"Little brother, the evil Qi in you is gone now, isn’t it?" she suddenly asked.
