Chapter 389 - 383 Shasha (Part 2)

Chapter 389: Chapter 383 Shasha (Part 2)

Within a narrow alley in Liaocheng.

A delicate little girl in a white dress was panting as she ran through the alley, clutching a large bundle in her arms. She kept looking back, as if she was worried about someone catching up to her.

Homeless men and beggars slumped on the ground were somewhat curious, greedily watching her, but before they could act, the little girl had vanished from sight with astonishing speed.

"This time, I really hit the jackpot..." Shasha ran for a while, then stopped with pride, tearing open the bundle in her hands to look at the contents.

The bundle was sealed with a light purple talisman paper that emitted faint, invisible circles of spiritual energy, completely concealing any aura fluctuations from the bundle.

"Hehehe!"

With an utterly triumphant and sweet smile, Shasha began to carefully inspect the treasures inside the bundle.

A bunch of gold and silver jewelry, some classical books, several incomprehensible talisman papers, and an inexplicable black token.

And finally, a large, grey disk resembling a chessboard, imprinted with a Taiji diagram.

"What is this...?" She seemed to realize that she might have stumbled upon a treasure.

Shasha’s brow twitched as she was about to take out an appraisal book from her storage bag.

"This is the Ice-Fire Taiji Diagram." Suddenly, a man’s voice laced with teasing sounded from behind her. "How does it feel? Exciting, isn’t it? This is a high-level magical treasure of the fourth grade."

Shasha’s body stiffened, and she slowly turned around like a robot.

Behind her, standing there at some unknown point in time, was a striking youth in a black robe, hair draped over his shoulders. It was none other than Mr. Lin Xin, the man she had met before and who had protected her for many days...

With a forced smile, goosebumps covered Shasha’s entire body.

"Lin... Mr. Lin, when did you... find Shasha, ..."

Lin Xin stood alone in the alley, and all the homeless and beggars nearby scattered like they had seen a ghost, clearly afraid of being involved in disputes between the powerful. They seemed quite experienced in how they fled.

"I’ve been following you all along," Lin Xin said with a smile. "Since disembarking, I’ve been right behind you, it’s just that you didn’t notice."

Shasha chuckled dryly at this absurd claim. She had clearly watched Lin Xin disembark with everyone else before she had stealthily made her escape.

"Mr. Lin... Shasha was forced to... I had no other choice. I’ll give everything back to you..."

Suddenly, she violently threw the bundle into the air and took off running.

Smack.

However, a large hand firmly grasped the back of her neck and picked her up like a little chicken.

"Where are you trying to go, Miss Shasha?" Lin Xin asked quietly, holding the bundle in one hand and Shasha in the other, a half-smile on his face.

"Heh... hehe..." Cold sweat broke out on Shasha’s forehead.

This was the first time she had made a misstep in her career. Despite having a fourth grade Taoist talisman to aid in concealment, she still couldn’t hide her presence and was tracked down.

This was entirely different from the big fish she was used to dealing with. This man was not only strong, but also had an unnervingly effective Art of Tracking.

"Alright, come back with me and explain yourself properly. Why did you steal our things? If you can explain well and show the right attitude, I might consider letting you off the hook. If not..." Lin Xin’s voice took on a sinister edge, "I will use you as a cauldron to warm my bed, just like the others."

Shasha’s little face turned white in an instant.

Poof!

In that moment, her entire being exploded into a cloud of white vapor and disappeared from Lin Xin’s grasp.

She reappeared in a nearby alley in the blink of an eye and started to run again.

Bang!

Ouch!

She hadn’t run far before she slammed into a wall.

Dizzy and disoriented, she was picked up again.

"Miss Shasha’s in such a hurry, where did you want to go?"

That nightmarish voice sounded in her ear once more.

Lin Xin was already there in front of her, watching her with a teasing expression.

"I..." Shasha immediately realized she was not getting away this time and lowered her head in defeat. "I was wrong... Uncle, I was just being mischievous... Please forgive me, just this once..."

She took a few steps back and suddenly tripped over something on the ground. Falling to the ground, she propped up her legs, and her bare, snow-white legs flashed before Lin Xin’s eyes. An enticing scent filled the air around them.

"It hurts..." Shasha’s moan sounded beguiling, seemingly with a hint of seduction.

To any normal man, this would be an almost irresistible provocation to tear her clothes and ravish her ruthlessly.

Unfortunately for her,

Lin Xin did not change his expression as he watched the little minx perform some sort of Bewitching Technique, as unmoved as if watching a monkey perform tricks.

Shasha glanced at him furtively, and her heart turned cold.

"Had enough fun yet?" Lin Xin asked with a smile.

"No!" Realizing she had nothing to lose, Shasha jumped up and ran, a ring of golden light radiating from her.

"Indecent...!" She was about to cry out for the Formation Talisman, but then she felt a sharp pain in her neck and blacked out uncontrollably.

The last thought that crossed her mind was, this is it... my chastity is gone...

Lin Xin picked her up with one hand and walked away as if he was a wisp of smoke, heading back from whence he came. His progression seemed slow, yet with each step, he spanned tens of meters in an eerily extraordinary manner.

He was practicing a Qinggong called Errant Step, which he had learned in his leisure, capable of avoiding the human eye’s blind spots and maximizing speed.

Less than half an incense stick’s time had passed before he arrived directly in front of an opulently decorated inn.

He was welcomed inside by the attendants.

Without any pause, he went upstairs, passed through the corridor, and those who crossed his path curiously watched him carry a fainted little girl, but no one entertained any ill speculations.

Those who could afford to stay here were either exceedingly rich or of noble birth. This inn had a solid backing; it was the main industry of the city’s largest family, the Su Family.

It wasn’t just about capturing a little girl— even if a murderer entered this place, the Government couldn’t just come and arrest them immediately. They had to ask for the Su Family’s permission first.

With a creak, he pushed open the door of a room. Inside, Wang Peng and others were all gathered waiting.

Seeing him carry Shasha in along with the bag, they immediately stood up.

"My lord!"

"The lord has returned!"

"The little one has been captured too."

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Especially Wang Peng. For him, the Ice-Fire Taiji Diagram inside was his lifeline, the final treasure left to him by his master. If lost, he would be troubled for a lifetime.

After closing the door, Lin Xin lifted Shasha in his hand a bit higher.

"This little fellow has quite a few tricks up her sleeve, and she’s pretty fast. Did you find out why so many forces are trying to capture her?"

"We did...." the chubby one quickly stood out to claim credit. "I captured a few of the kids who came looking and after interrogating them, the answer is that this little one has a very peculiar special physique called ’Ruyuan’."

"Ruyuan physique?" Lin Xin, well-informed and experienced, immediately associated it with relevant information.

"Is it the one that can store a large amount of spiritual power and demonic qi, and then return the most pure energy?"

"Exactly, that’s the one. This kind of physique can purify various types of power inputted into it and then give them back. The returned power is generally used to break through bottlenecks, which is very convenient." The chubby man quickly replied. "And since this little one is also a beauty, hehe... you know what I mean."

He leered at Shasha lustfully.

"Lord, why not let me personally interrogate her? I can surely train her to be obedient and submissive, an exclusive converter tool for you!"

He seemed to have considerable experience in such matters.

Lin Xin chuckled in response.

"Enough chit-chat, we have more important things to do," he said, handing the bag back to Wang Peng, who thanked him profusely with the others.

"Have you found the Lion Fist Sect that you were looking for?"

"Found it! We can go there anytime." Fei Pengzi assuredly stood up and said.

Nodding, Lin Xin extended his hand to tap on Shasha’s forehead.

Suddenly, a small red flower mark appeared between her eyebrows.

"Alright, wake up."

Shasha blinked her eyes groggily, slowly coming to her senses.

"You... you lot!!" She suddenly poofed into a puff of white smoke, bursting from Lin Xin’s grasp, then abruptly reappeared on the ground nearby.

"What happened to me!? My escape skill!" She clutched her head and let out a pained cry, "My head! It hurts... it hurts so much...."

Her pitiful state tightened the hearts of everyone, including Wang Peng and Rongyan, making them wonder if they had gone too far.

Only Lin Xin looked at her with an exceptionally tranquil gaze.

"All right, you have ten heartbeats left, otherwise I won’t care about the restrictions on your body, and will leave on my own."

"It hurts so much...." Shasha rolled on the floor, blood of a bright crimson hue flowing from her mouth, nose, and ears, her little face deathly pale as if only drawing breaths in without letting any out, on the verge of demise.

"Lord... she seems to be really done for...." Fei Pengzi whispered to Lin Xin, showing a hint of mercy.

"Is that so?" Lin Xin was noncommittal. "Qiuling, please take this little one inside, strip her naked for a full body check. Don’t worry, with my restriction on her, she could flee to the ends of the earth and still be within my grasp. Make sure to turn out everything on her, inside and out."

Upon hearing this, Qiuling nodded. Since the lord said there would be no problems, then there would indeed be none.

She stepped forward to pick up Shasha.

Whoosh!

This time, the little one decisively turned into a mist again, apparently fleeing as she sensed danger.

If all her hidden cards were stripped away and laid bare, she would truly have no chance of turning the tables. Deciding to flee immediately was the right course of action.

Oddly, Lin Xin stood in place without any intention to stop her.

Wang Peng released his Taoist intent, attempting to envelop her, but to no avail. The others also made their moves, but they were all a beat too slow.

With so many acting together right under their noses, to still let the little one escape was somewhat embarrassing for them all.

But only half an incense stick’s time later,

The door was suddenly kicked open, and the little one staggered in, clawing wildly at Lin Xin.

"Ah ah ah!!! I’m going to kill you!!"

She pounced like a small cat, and then....

Bang!!!

She was stomped on her face by Lin Xin’s foot and forcefully smashed into the ground, producing a dull thud.

The onlookers, like the chubby one, winced just by watching.
