Chapter 183: Chapter 176 Undercover Part 1

"What are you trying to do?" Hua Yaozhu’s heart skipped a beat. She hadn’t expected her teacher to act so swiftly. Before she could meet the messenger, she was about to leave due to the signal, but in the blink of an eye, she was blocked by the manor’s Hidden Guards.

"By the Villa Master’s command, we hope the young lady will cooperate," the leader of the masked men said in a low voice, stepping forward to seize her wrist.

Slap!

Hua Yaozhu suddenly struggled free, her body rolling like a giant python as she forcefully burst through the gap between the masked men.

The leader let out a sinister chuckle. His claws were as sharp as eagle talons, and his arm muscles bulged, seeming to swell several times larger as he reached out to grab her.

"By the Villa Master’s orders, anyone who resists shall be killed without mercy!"

His piercing voice spread all around.

Several people around him struck at the same time, all using the same Eagle Claw Skill. Each pair of hands, like iron hooks, viciously aimed at Hua Yaozhu’s torso, back, and abdomen. With the strength and cultivation of four men, if she were struck, even her internal organs and bones could be directly ripped out, creating bloody holes.

"Break!" Hua Yaozhu, who had also practiced External Skills for many years, was not afraid at all. Her whole body suddenly shook, her dress bursting into countless fragments, shedding the surrounding attacking eagle claws. She then dashed through gaps, her body twisting like a true giant python towards the distance, with a speed comparable to that of high-level Internal Masters!

"Thinking of running away?"

The four men hurriedly pursued.

The five of them ran swiftly through the forest, and soon a figure appeared in front of Hua Yaozhu.

The figure was dressed in a white dress and covered with a white veil, the chest embroidered with a pattern of pristine bamboo forests. It was Snow Bamboo.

"Even daring to defy the Villa Master’s orders," Snow Bamboo chuckled softly, stretching out her hand. Her fingers faintly emitted Sword Qi and white light, reaching Hua Yaozhu’s chest incredibly quickly.

If she were caught, it would result in five bloody holes and with the eruption of Inner Qi, even a high-level Internal Master would face certain death.

Hua Yaozhu was unable to dodge in time, her eyes suddenly becoming red as her speed greatly increased.

"Die!!"

She abruptly reached out her hand, directly grabbing towards Snow Bamboo.

Clang!

When their claws struck each other, they emitted sounds of metal clashing.

Hua Yaozhu yelped in pain, her body flung sideways, yet she managed to use this crisis to escape.

Snow Bamboo just chuckled lightly, her figure flashing like lightning as she pursued. Her hands gently bounced as if strumming a pipa. Strings of white Sword Qi shot out, chasing after Hua Yaozhu’s back from three directions.

The two clashed fiercely in mid-air dozens of times, each contact emitting a harsh clashing sound that intensely reverberated throughout the forest, causing the complexions of those who heard it to change.

Just then.

Hiss!

Suddenly, a red streak from afar violently struck towards Snow Bamboo’s back.

Bang!

A burst of red mist exploded, and the red figure rapidly retreated.

Snow Bamboo’s body spun away sharply, her hand pulling out an Elixir Bottle and swallowing a Detoxifying Pill, and she took out a piece of Talisman Paper, burning it to ash to neutralize the poison.

"Indeed a demon from Red Mansion!"

Her eyes beneath the veil were stern.

"Attack."

At her soft command, dozens of people, all skilled in light-footed techniques, rapidly emerged from within the woods, surrounding the fleeing Hua Yaozhu and the red figure.

Most of the dozens held Talisman Stones, their eyes glued menacingly on the two red-dressed women standing back to back in the center.

"Master Yao, please make your move," Snow Bamboo said, bowing reverently towards an empty spot to one side.

"Good, good."

A man’s voice suddenly sounded.

Hua Yaozhu and the other red-dressed woman’s expressions changed, and they promptly separated.

Hiss!!

Like lightning, a burst of white light shot over. As they dodged, the white light astonishingly changed direction in mid-air, making a turn and striking towards the red-dressed woman.

The woman screamed, her hands creating a large wave of red mist. Her fingertips grew longer and even sharper, repeatedly tapping on the underside of the white light.

The white light manifested itself as a silver-white Flying Sword, but what shocked her even more was that the Flying Sword was covered with dense Sacrificial Refinement Runes.

Bang!!

A glaring white light exploded, sending the woman flying into a tree trunk, tumbling to the ground, blood spurting from her mouth.

"Red Mansion witch, daring to trespass into our manor’s territory, you’re courting death!" A white-bearded man slowly emerged from behind a tree trunk.

Seeing this scene, Hua Yaozhu’s eyes reddened even more, showing a bizarrely brilliant bloody red. Slowly, blood trickled from her nostrils.

"Qi Cultivator...!" she said fiercely.

"Yao here was quite bored, and upon hearing about the opportunity to hunt a witch from Red Mansion, I eagerly came. It’s a pity, it’s just an ordinary little witch, truly regrettable..."

This manor’s Qi Cultivator was one of Lin Xin Manor’s retainers, having broken through to the Qi Refinement Realm just last year. His talent and cultivation were among the best and he was also a key figure being groomed by the manor.

"You’re seeking death!" Hua Yaozhu’s eyes suddenly oozed blood, her whole body faintly emitting wisps of red mist and blood Qi that caused the opponent’s complexion to change.

Hiss!

With Red Mansion’s unique movement technique suddenly unfolding, she charged towards the Qi Cultivator with speed far surpassing before.

Her fingertips grew over an inch longer, emitting a bright, piercing red glow.

"The Great Witch!?" The Qi Cultivator named Yao exclaimed in shock, immediately waving his hand to cast several black stones, and he drew two swords with both hands. Dual Swords combined, weaving into a net of sword lights.

The net was torn as easily as paper by the red glow.

The monk surnamed Yao violently retreated, a small white light shield appeared in front of him, blocking the red glow.

With a clang, the Spiritual Light Shield shattered, breaking into pieces as the red glow pierced into the monk surnamed Yao’s chest.

Bang!

The red mist exploded, blood mingling with the red light.

The monk surnamed Yao grunted loudly, his chest a bloody red as the blade slashed at Hua Yaozhu’s waist, emanating two crisp clangs.

The sharp blade actually failed to cut through Hua Yaozhu’s skin, but runes on the sword lit up and, with a snap, the blade collided and split into two green snakes that twisted and fiercely bit into the flesh at Hua Yaozhu’s waist.

Ah!

Hua Yaozhu screamed, shaking off her opponent and turning to flee past several incoming people, a flash of blood then emerged, and several men collapsed to the ground, their throats spurting blood.

But immediately after, numerous Talisman Swords flew towards her.

Boom!!

A dazzling white light exploded, wrapping Hua Yaozhu again in white light. The light was yet to dissipate when she burst out, her body charred black, her skin blistering in many areas, and her gown shrunken and tightly adhered to her, turning into a black mushy mess.

"Catch her, dead or alive!" Snow Bamboo coldly commanded, many Hidden Guards around him holding Talisman Swords aimed at Hua Yaozhu like spears, ready to throw.

"She’s not Hua Yaozhu, she’s been possessed by the Red Chamber’s Great Witch!" the monk surnamed Yao roared, supported by someone as he rapidly used Detoxifying Medicine and high-level Sweet Dew Talismans to neutralize the poison.

"Great Witch? Even in the territory of my manor, you’re not escaping, Great Witch Xiao Qingsheng!" Snow Bamboo scoffed.

People rotated, hurling Talisman Swords repeatedly.

Clusters of white light continuously exploded, Hua Yaozhu dodging left and right, in a sorry state.

"Form the array!"

Snow Bamboo shouted fiercely, throwing a talisman paper that flew to the ground, precisely where Hua Yaozhu was about to land.

Boom!

Three Talisman Swords were thrown, round after round of explosions, disregarding the expenditure.

The formation was set up, the Hidden Guards continuing to rotate, their throwing positions exceptionally accurate.

Shortly, after several consecutive strikes, Hua Yaozhu collapsed to the ground, covered in blood. She struggled to get up but coughed up blood and had to lie down again.

"Is that all you’ve got?" Snow Bamboo said coldly, walking over to Hua Yaozhu.

Hua Yaozhu lay on the ground, her vision blurry as she looked up. Aside from Snow Bamboo’s boots, she also saw a pair of black boots with white patterns slowly approaching.

She tried to raise her head to see the owner of the boots but was suddenly pinned down underfoot by Snow Bamboo.

"Great Witch?" Lin Xin’s voice came from above.

He looked down at the prostrate Hua Yaozhu.

"The Red Chamber’s undercover..."

He glanced indifferently at another witch lying nearby.

"Kill her," he said casually, then turned and walked away.

"Yes."

Snow Bamboo smirked, producing a longsword aimed at Hua Yaozhu’s head.

Shh!

Shh, shh!

Suddenly numerous red shadows surged from all around, enveloping everyone from the manor, including Snow Bamboo, in a red fog from all directions.

Black and red stakes slowly rose from the ground, each studded with many tiny baby bones, radiating a bone-chilling ghostly aura. They formed a circle, enclosing the area.

Beneath the flying red shadows, faint, ghostly figures also emerged on the ground, a swarm of indistinct spirits moving like zombies, attacking everyone.

"Lin Xin, you killed my disciple back then, today you shall pay with your blood!" a woman with disheveled hair and wearing a white mask screamed from the midst of the red shadows.

"An ambush?!" Snow Bamboo’s face changed dramatically, her longsword descending in a stab, but jabbed into thin air as Hua Yaozhu had disappeared.

She and several others quickly raised their guard, continuously burning Resentment Talismans along with Sweet Dew Talismans and Poison-Avoidance Talismans, whose ashes combined into a slender grey snake coiling around everyone.

Phoo!

Countless red mists converged, forming indistinct red humanoid shadows, accompanied by flying witches and spirits attacking everyone.

For a moment it was as if the people from the manor were standing on a turbulent island surrounded entirely by a venomous red sea, the crimson waves striking from all directions.

Lin Xin’s expression darkened, he gently pressed on the hilt of his sword.

Shh!

Numerous white Sword Qi suddenly descended from the sky.

Like raindrops, they continuously struck the red shadows in the air, each strand of Sword Qi like a sharp spike, viciously penetrating the ground.

Some Sword Qi even pierced through the red shadows and into the spirits below, ultimately embedding in the ground, creating deep holes.

Lin Xin’s hand slowly released from the sword hilt. Unbeknownst to him, a rugged figure had appeared in front of him.

"The Red Chamber comes seeking my mentor, and you didn’t even ask me first?" Nan Shunqing laughed heartily, his form shifting from ethereal to solid, appearing in front of the manor’s people. He hadn’t left but was still near the manor.

"Mad Young Master? Just a junior! Watch my magic weapon!"

The leading Great Witch, in her rage, flung her sleeves, sending a blood-red ring flying straight at Nan Shunqing.

"Afraid?!" Nan Shunqing bellowed, his belly thrusting forward, one hand breaking through his clothes to meet the Great Witch head-on....

Snow Bamboo and a few others couldn’t help but laugh out loud. (To be continued. If you enjoy this work, please feel free to recommend or vote on Qidian (qidian.com). Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please visit m.qidian.com to read.)
