Returning back to the flower shop after a short walk, Jeremy Seibel was surprised to find that he was completely alone here.

«what? Has Camilla not returned yet...?»

Apart from his girlfriend, who had recently gone about her business and still hadn’t returned, neither Yufil nor the others were here either. Caleb and Judo went to deliver orders to different parts of the city in the morning. As for Frank, he took a short vacation for his personal business, and was supposed to return in a few days.

— Welcome...! — immediately assuming that it could be a visitor to their store, Jeremy did not even have time to greet him properly, as he stopped in mid-sentence.

After all, the person who suddenly appeared on the doorstep was none other than...

— B-brother? — The guy asked, stunned, — What are you doing here?

The presentable-looking young man with neatly coiffed brown hair was none other than Jeremy’s older brother and the successor of the Seibel family, Dietrich Seibel.

— I can’t believe it, — he chuckled softly as he looked directly at Jeremy. — You’re really hanging around here.

After a quick glance at the surroundings, the guy soon took a few steps and walked on.

A lump of excitement rose sharply in his throat, and Jeremy could barely keep from dropping the broom. However, he was still able to control his own emotions, and soon asked again:

«I said, what are you doing here?»

Jeremy tried to keep his voice from betraying his own excitement. However, Dietrich, who seemed to see right through him at that moment, just grinned.

— Our family has heard strange rumors about you, and I specifically came here to check them out.

Jeremy’s heart skipped a beat.

— R-rumors?

— I was the first to ask a question that you didn’t answer.

«Oh, right. After your wedding, father repeatedly sent you letters, but nevertheless, we did not receive a response to any of them,» Dietrich said, «Then father decided to send Sir Calcion to the north to check and find out what was the matter.

«When Sir Calcion arrived at the Edelweiss Residence, he couldn’t even meet you, as he was told that you were seriously ill and couldn’t leave your room,» he chuckled, «However, in the two weeks that our family’s servant stayed there, he never managed to to meet you.

Jeremy continued to remain silent, but his older brother, ignoring this, continued:

Dietrich Seibel continued to pace the room, stretching his words with obvious pleasure.
